Raya barely had time to breathe before Adrian's mouth was on hers.
"You asked for this, Babygirl," he murmured, and the words sent a shiver straight through her.
His hand slid to her thigh and, in one smooth motion, he lifted her. The sudden loss of balance made her gasp against his lips, her arms instinctively tightening around his neck. Her heart raced, not from fear, but from the certainty in the way he held her, like there was nowhere else he intended to be.
When he laid her on the bed and hovered over her, she became acutely aware of everything: his weight, his warmth, the way his eyes searched her face as if asking a question he already knew the answer to.
