Chapter 13 - Throwing Myself Into His Chest?

The live broadcast would take place within thirty minutes, during which twenty minutes were reserved for the trainees to introduce themselves and perform their prepared acts. The remaining ten minutes would be used to chat with viewers.

Joshua had just finished his dance. Instead of sitting down immediately, he leaned closer to the camera, smiling as he asked, "Did I dance well?"

Viewers were met with Joshua's round cheeks and pouty lips up close on their screens, and the comments scrolled nonstop.

[So beautiful, so beautiful, keep dancing!]

[That face so close, that cute, those sparkling eyes… I know Joshua is acting spoiled, but I have no proof!]

[Look at those watery eyes, it feels as if anyone answered "no," tears would fall any second, hahaha.]

[Suddenly, I want to see Joshua cry. Please don't hit me, everyone L(( ]

[Aaaaa, bunny attack! But I want to bite those cheeks once!]

[Those lips are made for kissing. I wondered why Joshua looked so familiar—turns out he was my lover in a past life, oh my god!]

[Not a single pore in sight. Joshua, please don't lose weight, I feel like the day you do, I'll be visually shocked to death!]

Since this was Joshua's live broadcast room, most of the comments were compliments, and there wasn't much criticism of his looks.

"There's still some time left, so I'll pick out a few comments to answer. If you want to ask something, type it quickly."

After stunning the viewers with his chubby cheeks, Joshua took his phone down from the filming stand, returned to his seat, and said with a smile.

[Joshua really likes smiling when he talks, huh?]

[Even better, that smile is too cute, it's killing me!]

In Joshua's mind, Nine realized it was now the Q&A segment and hurriedly said: [I'll filter out the questions, you just read them aloud and answer!]

Joshua obediently agreed, and Nine initially thought it should provide the answers for Joshua to repeat.

But then, seeing the reactions online and how Joshua, despite the sweat running down his forehead, still kept his cheerful expression… a sudden faith rose in Nine's heart. It is believed Joshua would definitely do well.

"Does Joshua plan on losing weight?" Joshua read out a fan's question, his eyes lowering slightly as he softly replied, "The weight gain was due to unavoidable reasons. My body type doesn't gain weight easily, so I'll slim down quickly."

[Unavoidable reasons? Is Joshua sick? Joshua, you must stay healthy…]

[Can people stop asking rude questions about someone else's weight? Clearly, even without slimming down, Joshua still looks adorable!]

[Well, that's a nice promise. Let's see whether you'll get chubby or skinny later.]

"How long has Joshua been dancing? That's a secret, but call me a dance genius."

Joshua winked. He didn't have the memories of this body, so he wasn't sure what it had gone through. He also couldn't exactly say he used to be an arts student.

"Has Joshua made any friends yet? Friends… everyone's pretty easygoing and kind, so making friends isn't too difficult. The one I'm closest with, I'd say, is Justin. He's very friendly, talkative, and always smiling."

Nine muttered in suspicion: [Wait, aren't you two fighting? Besides, what's so great about that tall, clumsy oaf? Almost two meters tall and still squeaks shyly, gets all hurt the moment you say something!]

Joshua: "… Justin didn't even provoke you."

Nine snorted coldly.

Joshua suddenly seemed to realize something, smiling as he said, "I was just saying that for the fans. In truth, of course, I'm closest to Nine."

Nine coughed lightly: [Really?]

"You're literally inside me. Who else would I be closest to if I'm not closest to you?"

Nine suddenly jumped up in alarm: [Don't you dare start with that inside–outside nonsense!]

Joshua: "…" He honestly couldn't understand Nine.

Meanwhile, Nine had already pulled out its "pen and paper," jotting down a note in "N's Note."

Added on the third line: closest to Nine.

Joshua had no idea what Nine was doing and continued answering fan questions.

"Who does Joshua think is the most talented? Well, everyone's really skilled, each with their own strengths. But the one who impressed me the most is definitely Arthur, because my voice isn't as good as his right now."

Joshua's eyes sparkled with admiration as he said, "You guys have no idea. When Arthur sings, it feels like hearing the voice of heaven itself, like an angel plucking a harp right beside your ear…"

The moment he finished, Joshua froze. He remembered—this wasn't supposed to be broadcast! Damn it, he got carried away and completely forgot.

Besides, Arthur's voice was far too much of a rule violation! From the first day he heard it, he'd been paying close attention, so now he couldn't stop himself from gushing!

[Hahaha, Joshua, get ready to be locked in the basement!]

[Don't scare the kid. This doesn't count as a spoiler, Joshua—at most it just adds some hype before episode 1 airs.]

[Now everyone will be looking forward to hearing Arthur's singing.]

[But from the sound of it, Joshua doesn't sing that well, huh? Joshua, sing us a song!]

Joshua shook his head furiously. He glanced at the time, then decisively grabbed the water bottle on the table.

It was one of the program's sponsored brands.

Joshua instantly switched to PR mode. No trace of his panicked, pounding heart could be seen—his face carried a flawless commercial smile as he said, "Aquana Spring Water, infused with thirteen minerals, crystallized from high mountains and rocky caves. Refreshingly sweet and cool, one sip and you'll never forget it for life! I've tried it—what about you…"

The livestream ended with Joshua holding the water in one hand, making a like gesture with the other, his commercial smile completely turning into a laughingstock.

[His face changed in one second, hahaha.]

[Joshua was already that scared. Program staff, don't you dare lock him in the basement!]

[Now I can't stop wondering how good Arthur's singing is…]

[He was smiling with his eyes shut tight, but everyone still noticed something was off. You're all mean—Joshua's a good boy!]

[It's precisely because he smiled with his eyes closed that it was funny. Eyes shut but lips not curved up yet, hahaha. That reflex was way too interesting.]

 [Zero acting talent, sigh.]

Finally, the screen turned off. Joshua collapsed onto the table as if all his strength had drained away, his body going soft like a squishy mochi.

Nine: [Hold out your hand a little.]

Hearing that, Joshua couldn't help raising his head in confusion. "For what?"

Even so, he still held out his hand. One second later, Nine confirmed with an "ok." Of course, it was just scanning a bit of Joshua's fingerprint to make a stamp for N's Note—so Joshua wouldn't forget what he'd said and accuse Nine of making things up later.

Seeing Joshua lower his eyes gloomily, Nine quickly said: [You did really well. Even though the ending was a bit unexpected, it was still entertaining and had a good effect. Why don't you check your mission progress?]

Since the Fame Points notification had been ringing nonstop just now, Joshua had muted it. Now, hearing Nine's reminder, he quickly got up and hurried back to his room to check his missions.

Justin stood outside the practice room where Joshua and a few trainees had livestreamed. Everyone else had already left—only Joshua hadn't come out yet.

Had he gone back to the dorms? Just as Justin thought that, the door opened again, and Joshua, like a rabbit, rushed straight into his chest.

That thought made Justin freeze momentarily, then instinctively lift both arms to embrace the "little bunny."

Joshua: "???"

 Nine: [!!!]

 Justin: "..."
