Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Bull’s Milk Is Delicious!

Chapter 13: Bull's Milk Is Delicious!

The next morning, the village chief arrived with the promised livestock: two cows, two sheep, and two chickens.

A crowd of villagers followed, all cheerful and enthusiastic.

They also brought local specialties—tangerines.

"By the way, what's the name of your town?" Cheng Lang asked.

"Just call it Orange Town," the chief said proudly.

Cheng Lang froze.

Wait… isn't Orange Town Nami's hometown?

He scratched his head.

"Is your land rich in oranges?"

"Yes! Oranges grow best here. Over time, they became our signature crop."

"Really? Do you know if other places sell oranges?"

"Not sure. Merchants say there's another place, but…"

"But what?"

"Pirates are stationed there. Small traders avoid it."

"Got it."

Alvida watched the baskets of oranges being loaded into the warehouse, unfazed.

The group left Orange Town.

On the way, Alvida was curious.

"Why do you want cows, sheep, and chickens?"

"You're not keeping them on the boat, are you?"

"Correct."

"Seriously? Chickens are fine—they eat rice. But cows and sheep need grass. You sure about this?"

Some pirates did keep animals onboard.

Sheep were omnivores—they'd eat meat if desperate.

Weird pirates even raised special sheep.

But cows?

Cows only ate grass.

"Let me show you what I can do."

Cheng Lang smiled at the cows.

They had no idea what was coming.

"Moo~"

One cow even let out a happy cry—he'd spotted wheat.

Yes, wheat.

Cheng Lang hadn't rushed to find wheat earlier—he lacked bone meal.

But now?

He had iron.

He could craft shears.

Cut leaves.

Compost them.

Create infinite bone meal.

Wheat could feed cows and sheep.

Even trigger breeding.

Time to test it.

The cows approached Cheng Lang, eyes locked on the wheat.

The sheep watched from nearby, tied up and drooling.

Cheng Lang nodded.

Looks like MC wheat works on real cows too.

He fed each cow a piece.

They chewed like it was divine food.

Their eyes sparkled.

Hearts floated around them.

Then—something magical happened.

The two cows moved closer.

Poof.

A square black-and-white calf appeared between them.

Alvida froze.

"…They bred? Wait—those are two bulls!"

---

Two bulls had produced a calf.

Forget Alvida—the cows themselves looked horrified.

Their worldview shattered.

Kuya Mi stared, stunned.

She ran over and checked under their bellies.

Confirmed.

Two bulls.

Both women turned to Cheng Lang in silence.

The speed of the birth—and the impossibility—left them speechless.

But Cheng Lang wasn't done.

He approached the sheep.

They didn't care about logic.

They just wanted wheat.

Drooling, they gobbled it down.

Poof.

Two lambs appeared.

Square, of course.

Then came the chickens.

He swapped wheat for seeds.

Another miracle—chicks hatched instantly.

Hiss…

Alvida's expression twisted.

Devil Fruits were magical, sure—but this was absurd.

Her own power only made her skin smooth.

Cheng Lang?

He seemed to have multiple abilities.

He looked at the lambs and calves with satisfaction.

He patted their square heads.

They didn't shed.

They didn't poop.

They ate minimal food.

Perfect for mass breeding.

But unlike in MC, they couldn't stack.

So Cheng Lang gave up on hole-breeding and planned the deck layout.

No grass blocks?

No problem.

Wheat would do.

"Just gonna leave them like this?" Alvida asked, eyebrow raised.

"Why not?"

"They'll be fine—unless giant birds snatch them."

In One Piece, Sea Kings weren't the only threat.

Massive birds roamed the skies.

Some were big enough to carry humans away.

Leave animals exposed on deck?

They'd be gone in two days.

Cheng Lang understood.

He built a wooden awning over them.
