'WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?
'That was one of the races I put in the top 10. Is he really the main character? Wait does that mean I'm A side character! I thought I was the main character. My thoughts are starting are starting to wander, I should stop while I'm ahead. He's approaching I should act like I know nothing. Hmm, now that he's a bit closer I noticed his pupil is slitted kind of like an animal.'
"Hey Lucious, sadly I awakened a common bloodline, but luckily I have my Legendary bloodline friend to help me, right?"
'That's bullshit.'
"Of course I'll still help you." I said with a friendly poker face. "Just because you have a common bloodline doesn't mean were not friends anymore. By the way after the ceremony's done do you want to come over to my house?"
"Sure, but why are you asking me?"
"My parents are probably going to celebrate my successful awakening, so I wanted to invite my only friend to celebrate with me. Plus, I know you don't have a lot of funds, so I wanted to ask you to buy equipment with me."
"I'll come to celebrate with you, but I won't let you buy me equipment. I have been saving money for have equipment, so you don't have to worry about me." He said while giving me a smile. "I do appreciate the offer though."
"Are you sure?" I asked concerned. "My family won't go bankrupt buying another pair gear."
"It's really fine. I got a part time job specifically for this, and I don't want to rely on you just because you can spare money."
"Hmm." I said while thinking. "How about this. You'll still come to buy gear with me and if you don't have enough money for proper gear, I'll cover the additional cost."
"*Sigh* Fine." He said reluctantly. "If you really want to do this then fine."
Happy that he finally agreed my tail started to wag slightly as we waited for the ceremony to end. Since we were the last class, it didn't take a lot of time for the last person to awaken. Once all awakenings were completed the principle walked towards the center of the stage and started to give a speech.
"This year's awakening ceremony has been one of the best in the past decade. 20% of student had a successful awakening, and we even had 2 legendary awakening. We are hopeful that most students will become great awakeners in the future. Remember to come to the school Saturday to participate in the beginner's dungeon. You are all dismissed."
Once the ceremony ended the students started to file out of the school. Me and Blake started to head toward my home like we agreed. After 25 minutes we made it back to my home.
After we entered the mansion, we were welcomed by my mother. Next to her was a man. The man had black hair, red eyes, and was wearing a suit. The most notable part of him was his black sclera, and dark gold pupil. The contrast of his eyes seemed hypnotic, making your thoughts become sluggish just by looking into them.
"Hey mom, hi dad. By the way I invited Blake over." I said happily.
"Hello sir, hello ma'am. I hope you don't mind." Blake said respectfully.
"It's fine." Mom said, waving us off. "Dinner will be in half an hour."
"Ok, then we'll head to my room."
Just as I was dragging Blake towards the stairs, I heard a low magnetic voice behind me.
"Lucious."
I turned around and spoke in confusion. "Yes dad?"
"You look different." He said with a faint smile. "We'll talk about your awakening and future during dinner."
"Alright." I said smiling. "We'll talk during dinner then."

Once we entered my bedroom, we began to talk.
"I think that was the first time I've seen your dad smile." Said Blake. "He almost never talks and he's always frowning."
"Yeah, even though he doesn't show it and is always working he does care."
"Then I guess your awakening broke his mask of indifference." Blake said teasingly.
"Yeah, I guess so." I said with a melancholy smile. My mood instantly lightened as I remembered something. "Oh right. Blake, can you grab a mirror. One of my racial skills lets me turn into a fox and I want to see what I look Like."
"Oh, sure."
As Blake went to grab a mirror, I started to clear out a small area. Soon we both finished our task. As Blake put the mirror against the wall, I activated my skill.

Once my skill activated a black fog encompassed my body. After a split second the fog began to disperse revealing my form. In the place I used to be was a small fluffy black fox with amber eyes. Not yet used to my four legs I stumbled towards the mirror finally seeing my appearance.
'It will definitely take a while to get used to four legs. Wait, that's me! Am I a narcissist for saying I look adorable? No, it should be fine.'
As I was admiring my appearance in the mirror and posing to myself Blake started to sneak up behind me. Before I knew what was happening, I could feel my feet being lifted off the ground.
"Wow." said Blake teasingly. "Your fox form is quite cute." Before I could think to respond he started to ruffle my head. "If you put in a bit more work you might qualify as a pet."
As Blake stretched out his arms, hanging me above the ground I transformed back.
"Put me down now!" I said with an annoyed tone.
'God dammit, I still can't touch the ground.'
