"If only someone could show up right now and put both of them down."
Coulson watched the spreading destruction and sighed into his comms with Nick Fury.
Fury just felt tired. Why couldn't he recruit a single real superpowered individual?
Every time something happened, all he had were agents—standing around watching like unpaid spectators.
As if in answer to his prayer, two sharp sonic booms echoed from the sky. But no one was paying attention yet.
At that moment, in front of a crumbling building wrecked by the fight, a blonde woman in a white dress crouched behind a broken pillar, trembling in fear. She'd clearly missed the chance to evacuate and was now trapped.
"ROAR!!"
Abomination ripped up the remains of a car and hurled it at Hulk!
Hulk smashed it away with a punch, but the burning wreckage spun like a cannonball—straight toward the blonde woman!
"Look out!"
"Move!"
Countless onlookers cried out.
In that split second, two crimson beams blasted down from the sky, striking the wreckage midair.
"BOOM!"
The car exploded into a fireball.
But the danger wasn't over. The Hulk and Abomination's clash shook a nearby building, dislodging a multi-ton block of concrete. The massive slab plummeted, aimed right at the terrified woman.
"Damn it!" Coulson's heart leapt to his throat.
Everyone could only watch helplessly.
Just before the stone crushed her—
A golden-red figure streaked down from the heavens!
With no hesitation, he landed in front of her, bracing both arms against the falling slab.
"BANG!!!"
The impact sent shockwaves rippling out, shattering the ground beneath his boots. But he held the stone steady.
The crowd was stunned. This… this wasn't human. Well, technically, it was a suit of armor.
And then, a familiar voice rang out from inside the helmet.
"Ladies and gentlemen—your Iron Man has arrived. Looks like I missed one hell of a demolition party."
It was Tony Stark!
"Hey there, gorgeous."
He set the slab aside, turned, and lifted his faceplate—flashing a grin that practically screamed I'm handsome, now fall in love with me.
"Don't worry. You're safe now."
The woman just stared, too shocked to respond.
Tony didn't care. Closing his mask, he glanced at the two monsters still slugging it out and muttered,
"Seriously, could you two pay a little attention to the cityscape? You've trashed the place like a junkyard. Hard for a guy to keep up his superhero image here."
Then he tilted his head to the sky and yelled:
"Henry! You bastard! What's taking you so long up there, constipation?! Get down here and bring the fireworks!"
The crowd froze.
Henry? Henry Stark? The playboy younger brother?
A mocking voice answered from above.
"Coming, coming! Don't rush me! Not everyone needs a tin can just to fly, you know. I was enjoying the art of flight—something a soul shackled by technology would never understand!"
And with that, a black figure streaked downward.
Unlike Tony, he didn't bother with a stylish superhero landing. In fact, he didn't land at all.
He accelerated midair, a black comet shooting straight at the two battling monsters!
At that moment, Abomination had just forced Hulk back with a punch and leapt high, ready to hammer Hulk into the pavement.
But as he reached the peak of his jump—Henry arrived.
A devastating uppercut from below smashed into Abomination's jaw.
"BANG!!!"
The monster's body rocketed backward like a baseball launched out of the park, smashing through a semi-truck in an explosion of twisted steel.
Silence fell.
"Pathetic." Henry hovered in the air, frowning at the wreck.
"I thought he'd last longer. Guess the military's quality control is still lacking."
Then he turned to Hulk, who stood bewildered at the sudden disappearance of his opponent.
"And you—big guy. Green really doesn't suit you. Makes you look brain-dead. And those muscles? All bulk, no definition. Zero aesthetics. Two stars, would not recommend."
"ROAR!!"
Hulk didn't understand a word, but he understood provocation.
Bellowing, he charged like a green freight train, fist aimed at Henry's face.
"Tsk. Resorting to violence already? You clearly lack humility."
Henry didn't even dodge. At the last instant, he tilted his head aside and let the fist whistle past.
Then he swung his leg. A sharp kick smashed into Hulk's ribs.
"BAM!"
The giant toppled, rolling across the ground before grinding to a stop.
The battlefield fell silent again.
"There. Two nuisances, both quiet now." Henry dusted imaginary dirt off his hands, then looked at Tony.
"By the way, shouldn't you be escorting the damsel to safety? Instead you're clinging to her like you're waiting for the paparazzi to show up. Hoping for tomorrow's front page?"
Sure enough, Tony was still holding the blonde. He scowled, jealous of how Henry had stolen the spotlight so easily.
"You know nothing! I'm soothing a traumatized victim's soul! You, brute, wouldn't understand."
"Yeah right. Looks more like harassment to me." Henry smirked, landing at last.
He went for the classic superhero landing—one knee down, fist on the ground. Totally not on purpose. Probably.
"BOOM!!!"
A shockwave blasted outward, toppling soldiers and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents alike.
Henry rose, shrugged innocently.
"Oops. Didn't hold back. Too strong, can't help it."
Then he looked up at Ross's helicopter.
"Hey, Ross! Your anti-Hulk budget all went into useless barricades? Honestly, my chihuahua 'Cupcake' could break through those."
Ross seethed, almost ordering an attack, but swallowed his rage.
"Do not engage the Stark brothers!" he barked through comms.
Henry ignored him. His gaze found Coulson, who was brushing himself off nearby.
"Well, well. Agent Coulson, isn't it?" Henry walked over with a grin.
"In just a few days, your hairline's already retreated another millimeter. You should consider implants—I know a doctor who'd even give you a discount."
Coulson simply smiled, straightened his suit, and extended his hand.
"Welcome back, Mr. Stark. It's good to see you again."
