Upon arriving in front of Silvia's house, the previously calm atmosphere turned tense. Waksi and Silvia stepped inside, only to find a young woman sitting in the living room, wearing a white doctor's coat. The woman turned when she heard their footsteps. There was an impression of calm on her face, but also an underlying seriousness.
"Silvia, you're finally home. Meet Doctor Marchina, she came here to see you," Silvia's father said, his voice slightly anxious.
Silvia stared at the woman in confusion. "Weren't you the doctor who examined me that time? What are you doing here?"
"That's right, I'm Doctor Marchina Diala. I came here for a special purpose. After learning about your unique brain, where you can think seven times faster than a normal human, you caught my attention, Silvia. I was honestly curious to learn more about your development, that's why I came here." Doctor Marchina replied in a calm yet emphatic voice.
Waksi, standing near the door, felt something was odd. He didn't understand the conversation they were having. What did it mean that Silvia was able to think seven times faster than ordinary humans?
"Excuse me doctor, can you explain more about Silvia's brain?" Waksi said in a thoughtful tone.
"Sorry, who are you again?" asked the doctor to Waksi.
Silvia's father interrupted, "Let me introduce you, this young man is Waksi Astara, my future son-in-law. He is currently in a relationship with Silvia."
"Oh I see, that's surprising." Doctor Marchina replied with a chuckle, "Well Waksi, tell me, did you notice anything unusual about your girlfriend's behavior? Does she often confuse you?"
Waksi nodded his head in agreement.
"Of course you are," the doctor said, as if reading the young man's mind. "Don't worry, you're not the first. In fact, Silvia's own father was often confused about not being able to follow his daughter's way of thinking. Problems often arise simply because of a misunderstanding between the two of them. But all this was not without cause. As I said just now, Silvia's brain is rather special. A few days ago, I examined her and found out that her brain works seven times faster than a normal human."
"Seven times faster?" Waksi whispered, almost unable to believe it. "That means she can think farther ahead than we can, right? Faster than we can imagine."
Dr. Marchina nodded. "Exactly. And this speed of thinking gives Silvia the ability to control and manipulate situations better than an ordinary person. Not just in solving problems, but also in interacting with others. I think this is why people around her often misunderstand her. Our ordinary minds can't keep up with the way a person of Silvia's genius minds." Dr. Marchina paused for a moment, looking at Waksi seriously. "And that includes the ability to manipulate people around her."
Waksi felt a great tension rise within him. What he had just heard changed everything. He had always felt that Silvia had the ability to control people, including him. Every decision she made never seemed too unpredictable. His heart was racing, yet he felt trapped—trapped in a relationship filled with cleverness he couldn't easily decipher.
Waksi stared at Silvia with attention and asked. "Why did you never tell me about this?"
"Why should I? This isn't important information to you either. Especially since you never asked me." Silvia replied, turning her face away haughtily.
"How could I even think of asking such a question? You should have told me. This is very important information to me," Waksi replied in an annoyed tone.
"Oh really? And why is that so important to you?" Silvia asked, staring into Waksi's eyes.
Waksi felt tongue-tied. Yet, even though Waksi was anxious, he couldn't directly express these feelings to Silvia. "I can't answer that. You probably already know without me telling you." Waksi said in the end.
Silvia smiled, feeling that she could exert influence to dominate her lover's feelings. Meanwhile, Waksi himself seemed to be caught in a quandary. The facts that had just been revealed made him realize that all this time, Silvia's way of thinking had been far ahead of him. That's what makes her behavior so different from most people, how confusing it is to follow Silvia's way of thinking that is beyond common sense.
With abilities like this, Waksi realized he could easily be used as a pawn in Silvia's mind games. How easy it would be for the girl to manipulate those around her. And perhaps, all this time, he had unknowingly fallen into Silvia's game and followed everything she wanted. Now Waksi realized how dangerous her girlfriend's abilities were. He decided to be more careful. He had to change his attitude so he wouldn't get caught up in Silvia's elaborate games.
What happened to Jessey in the last few days is a clear example. It's obvious that Jessey bullied Silvia a lot in class, even slandering her for poisoning me. Now with what happened today, Waksi realized that Silvia was carrying out her revenge behind the scenes.
"I'm sure that even that incident in the park during our date yesterday where Jessey fell and broke his hat, it must have been Silvia's doing." Waksi thought.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Asked Silvia, who was getting uncomfortable being stared at.
Waksi unconsciously continued to look at her with frightened eyes. Sweat began to pour down his forehead. He seemed to see the girl's small face like a cunning monster.
Swallowing hard, Waksi replied, "Well, you know, with abilities like this you should be more careful. This is something very serious."
Silvia fell silent, reflecting. However, Waksi couldn't hide his anxiety any longer. Every time he thought about this, a growing fear developed within him. He began to realize how difficult it was to predict Silvia's thoughts. He was afraid that if he said all of this, he would truly be trapped in Silvia's manipulative game. In this relationship, Silvia might know more than he had expected. But Waksi seemed to realize that his current expression would make Silvia think even more of him. Therefore, Waksi should immediately say something that can make his girlfriend's mood good again.
"Well, what I'm about to say is, just be careful with your mind. You don't know how big of an influence that speed of thinking has."
Silvia just smiled faintly, as if she understood more than Waksi could say. "Thank you for looking out for me, Waksi," she replied, though it seemed like she didn't fully grasp the depth of the fear her boyfriend felt.
Dr. Marchina, who had been observing their conversation, nodded wisely. "We need to continue monitoring Silvia, to ensure that this ability isn't misused. It may require a more careful approach moving forward."
"And what exactly should I do?" Asked Silvia, confused.
"Just tell me about your day and what you do that might attract my attention. I'll be coming here often to monitor you in person, are you okay with that?"
Silvia glanced at her father for approval. After a small nod, Silvia finally told the doctor that she didn't mind at all.
As for Waksi, the youngster was still in a state of doubt and didn't know what to do. Finally he said, "Well then, Silvia, I'll excuse myself and go home now, it's getting dark. Goodbye everyone."
Before he could get an answer from Silvia and her father, Waksi disappeared from the scene and headed out the door as fast as he could. After he left, Doctor Marchina took a book and pen ready to ask questions to her research subjects.
Silvia sighed heavily. To be honest, she was still tired from the long day she had had, and now she had to be interrogated by a doctor in her own home. Taking off her heavy bag, the girl said, "well, I honestly don't know what to tell you. I don't know what kind of story would attract your attention, doctor."
"There's no need to bother. Just tell me what happened to you today. I'll keep a record of everything." The doctor said behind his glasses.
Silvia nodded, then she continued. "Well, there are some interesting things that happened to me today. You could say that from today on, I've successfully become a model."
"You what!" The father and doctor shouted at the same time.
