Lily began to reveal everything—her past and the complete truth, why she was happy yesterday and angry today.
She said,
"Direśa was a yakshini. She was the thirty-second generation of the Madana Yakshini's legacy. The very first generation was Madana Yakshini herself, which is why we are also called by her name.
My guru, Jins, who came here this morning, was a companion of Direśa.
When Direśa's end approached, she chose me as the next—the thirty-third generation. She said that I must make my host powerful and eliminate a yakshini named Hambha, who holds the legacy of Malini Yakshini.
If I fail to accomplish this task in the next ten years, my body will be destroyed and my soul will scatter. I have sworn this oath.
But her legacy has proven very costly to me… I wish I could have gained power through ordinary cultivation; it would have been better."
Snehwal said firmly,
"Do we have to kill Hambha Yakshini?
Then I vow—I can achieve this in ten years if you trust me."
Lily replied in a soft voice,
"You must trust me."
She still could not speak fully.
Then Snehwal asked,
"The five yakshinis you told me about… is their legacy passed down generation by generation?
And does this legacy go to only one, or can it be passed to multiple yakshinis?"
Lily said,
"Look, there were five yakshinis before, and there are still five today.
Their legacy just continues.
A yakshini passes her legacy to another only when her end is near.
For example—
Malini Yakshini's legacy is with Hambha Yakshini, who rules in the south.
Vajravahini Yakshini's legacy is with Mith Yakshini, who governs the west.
Kamarupi Yakshini's legacy is with Shon Yakshini, who rules the north.
Chitralekha Yakshini's legacy is with Juri Yakshini, who resides in the east, but after losing to me in battle, she has hidden somewhere.
And finally—I hold the legacy of Madana Yakshini.
Hambha has ended our previous thirty-two generations.
She is a disciple of Malini Yakshini—or you could say, the second generation of hers."
Hearing this,
Sweat broke out on Snehwal's forehead.
Now Lily was standing at the edge of the cave, her long hair flying in the wind, and a cruel smile playing on her face. Alongside her was Snehwal, trembling with fear—his eyes darting around as if some shadow were glaring at him.
"I have destroyed her entire clan," Lily said in a slow but deadly voice, looking up at the sky where dark clouds swirled. "Juri… she escaped wounded, but my clan has also been annihilated. Blood for blood is the way of revenge. She will return, she will fight me. And this time… I will tear her to pieces."
Snehwal bowed his head, his voice shaking. "But… you don't have the books here, with which I could accurately understand my practice and become powerful. I am afraid, Lily. Juri's power… it is absolute. If she comes, then we…"
Lily turned to him, her eyes glowing with a light that shook even his fear. "Look, here is the treasure of two clans," she said, and picked up an ancient key from her necklace—made of bone, engraved with an aura. The key shone in the air as if some old magic had awakened.
She moved toward the inside of the cave, Snehwal following behind. Their footsteps echoed in the dark tunnel, the walls adorned with old paintings—depicting the battles of Yakshinis and their cruelty, how they drain the power of their hosts.
Finally, a massive stone door. Lily inserted the key into it, and with a harsh sound, the door opened. Inside… a marvel. Piles of books, shining and ancient—metal covers inscribed with gold ink, about magic, practices, powers. The air was filled with a sweet fragrance, like an old perfume. And in the center, three pointed, small stones—black, gleaming, resembling ancient crystals. They trembled, as if alive.
"Here, take this," Lily said, tossing a book toward Snehwal. "It's all ours. This is the treasure of two clans—untouched even by Juri until now. This place is very secure. Bound by the protection of the Sarnis, no outside force can enter here. As long as we are here, we are safe. You can read, practice your arts. Touch these stones—they will teleport you. One day Juri will come, but until then… we will be ready."
"This will be our first step."
"To kill her."
Snehwal held the book, his fingers trembling with excitement, but now a new light shone in his eyes. Lily closed the door, and the cave went dark again.
Outside, in a distant empty cave, Juri's breaths could be felt in the air, along with her host. But here… the roots of revenge were growing deep.
Other side ,
Snehwal opened the book, and the words came alive. He discovered that these three stones were for teleportation—extremely valuable. If a practitioner or Yakshini is on the brink of death, using them could save them.
