There's nothing in here, I complained in my mind after checking the den for the third time.
After all there's some time for doing a roll so it's better to focus on myself again.
With a sigh, I shrugged my shoulders and muttered, Magic Eyes. I didn't really know what I was doing. I just… went with the flow, following some instinct I didn't fully understand. Something told me that if I focused, something would happen.
And then, oh.
Faint shimmers appeared around me. Not normal light, more like a thin haze clinging to the stones, drifting even around my claws.
"Oooh," I muttered, a little roar of surprise escaping my throat.
I reached out with a claw, but it passed right through. No weight. No resistance. Nothing. Just… there.
"…Is this mana?" I asked myself. It was the only thing that made sense. I'm a wyvern now, and this has to be a fantasy world.
Then I noticed something else. The details sharpened. Not like a microscope, but the world felt clearer, crisper. Tiny grains of moss, faint cracks in the stone, the flutter of dust in the air—I could see it all.
And then I realized I could see behind me. My head hadn't moved, but my vision stretched backward.
"Fuck. Is this Byakugan? Am I getting 360-degree vision now?"
It felt stupid to compare my new sense to anime, but it was the fastest way to describe it.
Except no peeking-through-walls perks. Unlike Byakugan, I couldn't see through solid objects. My vision wasn't x-ray, just… annoyingly useful awareness.
No instant pervert upgrade. My tail thudded against the floor in disappointment.
The disappointment didn't last long. Soon, I could see all kinds of creatures—elves, beastmen, dwarves, and yeah… the females of all of them. That thought kept my mind busy.
I focused on the shimmer again, mana, I decided to call it for now. I didn't know why, but it felt familiar. My body seemed to… crave it.
I closed my eyes and tried to reach out. I couldn't see it directly, but I could feel its presence. Somehow, I knew I could interact with it. Maybe it was because I'm a monster now.
Ahhh…
I could see it. Even with my eyes closed, the flow of information continued to stream into my mind.
Extra Skill Magic Sense Acquired.
"…Wait… did I hear that right?"
My heart skipped a beat.
Oh… oh my god. I know exactly which world I'm in now.
Tensura.
There was no doubt. The announcement of an Extra Skill, the tone of the voice, it all matched. The sound… it was the same as the voice of the world.
Am I in the Cardinal World? Jura Forest? Milim's territory? Or maybe some smaller world? After all, the voice of the world is everywhere.
Okay… okay. Don't panic. Despite telling myself that, anyone looking at me could see my tail still thrashing against the cavern floor.
What do I know about Tensura? Let's keep it simple.
A man, stabbed, killed, reincarnated as a slime. Two unique skills. One lets him analyze and acquire powers from anything he devours. He befriends a True Dragon, builds a monster town, becomes a Demon Lord, amasses countless subordinates… eventually ascends to god-tier existence. Maybe multiversal. Maybe outerversal. Who even knows.
It's complicated. Too many controversies. I haven't seen a created or destroyed multiverse yet, though Ceil said they could create new worlds. But concepts like parallel or alternate worlds are still untouched territory.
And that's just what's shown to entertain an audience. The real world? Far more dangerous. Even at low levels, humans hunt monsters and monsters hunt each other. Survival isn't neat or convenient. It's brutal.
Then there are the countless ancient monsters, lurking behind their massive estates and hidden lairs, scheming quietly. They aren't in any rush, but their plans can span centuries. Some manipulate entire regions from afar, while others simply wait for the perfect moment to strike.
Also, who knows if a safe haven for monsters, like in the anime, can even exist in this world? For all I know, Rimuru could go berserk and decide to wipe out everyone in a fit of rage. Alternate plots are always in trend, after all.
It's a good thing I've got a cheat too, Gacha. With it, the possibilities are endless.
With this system, I might actually rival Rimuru, maybe even surpass it. More fitting to call the slime it anyway, since it's genderless.
And who knows? With Gacha, I could pull a template of someone like the One Above All… or even Azathoth itself.
I might even get the chance to travel across worlds, becoming stronger, gaining more power step by step.
And it's not just about me, I could also summon powerful subordinates to fight by my side.
Now that I think about it, since I'm a wyvern, at worst I should rank around C-class, maybe even B. At least it's comforting to know I'm not sitting at the bottom of the food chain.
If we go by Tensura's evolution system, there are plenty of possibilities. From wyvern, I could grow into a Wyvern Lord, maybe take on an elemental form, or if I'm really lucky, evolve into a dragon. Not a True Dragon, of course, but even a lesser one is still among the strongest races out there.
I could also try to learn haki, martial arts, and magic to expand my arsenal. It'd be foolish to rely on skills alone.
And who knows? Maybe I'll even be able to recreate techniques from other anime too.
All in all, it's not the end of the world… yet.
