Of the nine of us, his path is the most fixed. I pity him sometimes, bound to a fate that burns as fiercely as it consumes."
The scene faded, and Ji Chen's vision returned. What he had just witnessed was the mind of his firstborn, Enkur, seen through his own omniscient sight. As the Creator God, Ji Chen could see and hear all things within his universe. He decided to test this ability by observing each of his nine children.
He began with the eldest, Enkur, now one million years old—a milestone celebrated by the system itself. Then his gaze shifted to the second-born, Enra, the Seven-Colored Panther, who was busily decorating the Cradle Realm. Using the knowledge bestowed upon him, Enra sculpted the most breathtaking city in all the Divine Realm.
Pleased, Ji Chen smiled and skipped over Ashur, who was, predictably, bothering his elder brother again. Instead, his focus moved to the fourth, fifth, and sixth children. Inside the Grand Hall, Suhur the Primordial Thunder Roc, Kurra the World Tortoise, and Namu the Silver Phoenix were attempting to activate their father's forge—the same divine instrument that had shaped the heavens themselves.
No matter what they tried, the forge remained dormant. Amused, Ji Chen quietly lifted the seal, allowing the sacred flames to ignite. The children's joyous cheers echoed through the realm as they believed their efforts had succeeded, while Ji Chen watched with quiet pride. Soon, he turned his attention to the seventh and eighth: Nocten, the Primordial Night Wolf, and Ur, the Elemental Bear. Together, they were experimenting with the creation of their own race.
"This isn't so bad," Ji Chen murmured. "Maybe when they're older, I'll make it real."
He stored the idea away and looked upon his youngest, the ninth, Narisu, the Primordial White Swan. She was the most precious and the most mischievous. The youngest could do no wrong, and Ji Chen could never bring himself to say no. To keep her occupied, he asked the system if it was possible to issue quests or transfer them.
After a brief pause, the answer came.
