Scene – At the gates of a large city, three people stand: two guards and Yatrans.
Guard 1 (Jie): "No, look—if you don't have any of these documents, then leave peacefully… otherwise, I'll have to get rough with you!"Yatrans: "Huh?! P.. please man, you can do something, right? I've been in that jungle for a long time. Please… a while ago you even called me brother, so at least as a brother, help me out."Jie: "Haaahh… Hey, Futu."
Scene – Guard 2, Futu, walks up.
Futu: "What is it, Jie?"Jie: "This guy doesn't have a home card, ID card, or any entry pass. He's not even a guest of a royal family."Futu: "Hmm, then throw him out. Why keep him standing here?"Jie: "I told him, but he keeps insisting. Says he's been in the jungle for a long time… and looking at him, it kinda seems true."
Scene – Yatrans's condition is miserable: his hair is messy and dirty, his sword broken, his clothes torn and covered in mud, his shoulder carrying a dead rabbit staining his outfit with blood.
Jie: "So, what should I do?"Futu: "Haaah… look, the King's rule is clear. If someone doesn't have a birth card, they can't enter any city or village. That's it."Jie: "Yeah, that's true."Yatrans: "But wait—!"Jie: "Will you leave or not?!"Yatrans: "Come on, I'm in this country right now, aren't I? Tell me—if I wasn't born here, then how could I be standing in this country at this very moment?"Jie: "…He's got a point. No one can just cross the border and appear here so easily."Futu: "Hmm… then let's run a small test."Yatrans: "What kind of test?"
Scene – Futu places a finger on Yatrans's forehead and tries to read his mind.
Futu: "…?!"Jie: "What is it, Futu?"Futu: "There's nothing in his brain… I can only see a few hours' worth of memories. Either he has no memories, or I can't catch them. This doesn't prove whether he's a friend or enemy."
Scene – Just then, a party of three arrives.
Roma (Party Leader): "Yo, guys! What's going on here?"Futu: "Oh, Roma, Fula, and Risa. Nothing much—or maybe something big. This guy wants to enter the city, but has no birth card, no ID, nothing. Says he was in the jungle for a long time, tired and hungry… but you know the rules—we can't just let anyone in."Fula: "Hmmm… Roma, can you do something? Looking at his condition, what he says feels true. Honestly, I feel like trusting him."
Scene – Risa observes Yatrans carefully.
Risa: "Wait! Isn't he the one we saw earlier in the jungle?"Roma: "Hm?"
Scene – Roma also looks at him, remembering.
Roma: "Oh yeah… I saw him fighting once. Then again, I spotted him walking through the jungle. After that, I saw him hiding from a monster. And then once more, wandering again. I've seen this guy in that jungle four different times. I don't think he's a threat or an enemy."Yatrans (thinking): "Four times?! I never even noticed a single human around me… Either I'm too weak to sense them, or this party is insanely powerful."
Roma: "Let him enter the city."Futu: "But sir—!"Roma: "I'll take responsibility."Futu: "…Alright. If you say so. But before that, come with me."
Scene – Futu takes Yatrans to a room where a machine with a hand imprint is placed.
Futu: "Before entering, I'll make your birth card. So, which city, village, or country do you want as your place of birth?"Yatrans: "Hmm… this city will do."Futu: "Alright. Place your hand on this machine."
Scene – Yatrans places his hand, the machine glows faintly, and from a box beside it, two cards are produced. Futu takes both and hands one to Yatrans.
Futu: "Keep this card with you. It will allow you to travel between villages and cities in this country. The other one will go into our security records, containing your information."Yatrans: "Thanks."Futu: "Name: Yatrans. Age: 20. Gender: Male. Home: elia City. Okay, everything's in order."
Scene – Both come outside. Yatrans thanks Roma and his party.
Yatrans: "Thank you for your help."Roma: "Ah, that's nothing. We should help each other whenever we can, heh-heh-heh." (shy tone)
Scene – Yatrans enters the city while Roma's party returns to the jungle.
Scene – Inside the CityThe city is modern-like: tall buildings, small houses, and mansions. On the roads, mana cars move along with a few horse carriages. There are many specialized buildings—hotels, restaurants, offices for making furniture, and more.
Scene – Yatrans wanders through the city, still wearing his torn, blood-stained clothes and carrying his broken sword. People stare at him as he walks.
Yatrans: "I still can't find the guild. Is there even a guild in this world? And why are all these people staring at me… haaahh!"
Scene – He finds a park, uses the water to wash his face, hair, and clean his clothes a bit, then continues walking.
Scene – Eventually, he spots a large building with the House emblem and two crossed swords at the top. It's built with glass, marble, and terracotta.
Yatrans: "That must be the guild… Let's head inside."
Scene – Yatrans opens the door and enters. Inside, there are tables and chairs where adventurers sit and talk. To the left is a counter with three ladies, to the right stairs leading up, and in front two doors marked male and female washroom.
Yatrans (nervous): "Feels kinda awkward…"
Scene – As soon as he enters, everyone's eyes turn toward him, including the ladies at the counter. Though he tried to clean up, his clothes are still torn, his sword broken, and the dead rabbit on his shoulder still dripping blood, staining his outfit again. A strong smell of blood and rot hangs around him.
Scene – Yatrans approaches the counter.
Yatrans: "Ahem..! Is this… a guild?"Lady: "Yes, sir. How may I help you?"Yatrans: "Can I sell this rabbit here?"Lady: "Yes, sir. But first, please show me the rabbit."
Scene – Yatrans hands it over.
Lady: "Oh, this is an Iron Rabbit. You can get 5 gold and 7 bronze coins for it."Yatrans (shocked): "5 gold and 7 bronze?! How much is that worth?"Lady: "Around 40,000 pi."Yatrans (confused): "40,000 pi…?"Lady: "Yes. That's the currency of this country. You must be new here. May I see your ID card, home card, or guild card?"Yatrans (apologetic): "Uh… I don't have any of those. Wait! I do have a home card!"Lady: "Please show it to me."
Scene – Yatrans gives his card.
Lady: "So you're from this city?"Yatrans: "Don't overthink it—I just had this card made today."Lady: "I see. In that case, you'll need to register with the guild before selling."Yatrans: "Okay."Lady: "Please follow me."
