Chapter 117 - Chapter 117: A Wish Solves All, Red vs. Black

"Call and forfeit!" Vodka aimed his gun at the room, sneering.

Bang!

A bullet cratered the floor by Yono Yukishita's feet.

Gin's pistol smoked. "Three… two…"

Their intent was clear—no explanation needed.

Yono, never having faced such a scene, froze, her hesitation shattered by the shot. She grabbed the phone to call the organizers.

But a sharp, cold voice rang out.

"Don't move!"

Gin and Vodka turned to see two figures—one tall, one short—both in wide-brimmed hats. Their frames suggested young women.

Bang! Bang!

The shorter one fired without hesitation, ruthless and precise.

Vodka collapsed, shot.

One of the assassin duo downed in an instant.

Gin's face darkened, unmoving. The girl hadn't aimed at him—nor dared to.

She feared the C4.

Mission first!

Eliminate Donglin Construction's people!

C4 was volatile—its blast would hit Gin too—but he didn't flinch, pressing the detonator.

Trading life for life was as routine as eating for him.

The short girl, stunned by his madness, looked up, revealing a youthful face.

Dense, wavy blonde hair, curled bangs like a spiral, eye creases and liner under sharp, upturned eyes, a dainty nose, and pale, tender skin—a perfect doll.

"It's over!"

Mary Akai's heart sank with regret.

Her impulsiveness had doomed a room full of people!

Recently, Vermouth fed her APTX4869, and she fell from Vauxhall Bridge. She survived, reverted to a twelve-year-old's body.

Tracking the Black Organization, she deduced their move to Kengan Island and pursued with her daughter, Mary Sera.

Spotting two major operatives, she struck to take them down.

But it led to this tragedy.

How could she fix this…

Wait?

Where's the explosion?

When danger hit Yamauchi Sakura and the others, the invisible dragonflies blared warnings to Su Ze.

The C4 was already inside—too late to intervene.

So he wished!

Simple and effective!

In a flash, he chose the safest option: neutralize the C4, eliminating both immediate and timed explosion risks.

It cost 3,000 desire points. He agreed without hesitation.

Simultaneously, he leaped like a tiger, landing before Wokou Yujaku, and unleashed a punch.

Wokou, struggling to rise, took the fist to his forehead, knocked out cold.

Su Ze's eyes blazed with menace as he ordered the dragonflies to attack and raced to the VIP box.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

The air hummed with countless dragonfly wings.

The phone line snapped.

Blood bloomed on Vodka—clothes, arms, face, torso slashed by unseen forces.

The C4's failure stunned everyone.

Gin, dazed for less than a second, reacted, firing at the Akai mother-daughter duo.

The corridor had no cover. Kill or be killed!

Yono, inside, couldn't be taken out quickly.

The mission was a bust!

Kengan's guards weren't pushovers—every second delayed risked his life.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Gunfire erupted.

Mary Akai fired back almost instantly.

But neither expected a hulking figure to block the corridor, absorbing both volleys.

"Big Bro, run!" Vodka roared, clinging to consciousness.

Gin didn't hesitate, bolting down the corridor, vanishing.

No one knew his thoughts.

No one cared.

"Mom!" Mary Sera clutched Mary Akai, tears streaming.

Mary, shot in the arm and chest, bled heavily. Weakened by APTX4869 and chronic coughing, her survival was uncertain.

"Contact…" Mary tried to give her daughter MI6's details but stopped.

Glass shattered in the VIP box.

Su Ze crashed through the window, taking the shortest route.

He saw:

Kurapika crouched behind the sofa, gun aimed at the door.

Senna Riko, face stern, shielded the Yukishita sisters.

Yamauchi Sakura and Uzaki Hana huddled in a corner, trembling, Senna Sora guarding them.

Yuba Ri, poised to kick the C4, fear etched on her face.

The girls turned at the noise, seeing Su Ze land like a soaring roc.

"Careful, C4!" Kurapika warned urgently.

Su Ze, stone-faced, tossed the C4 into the bathroom.

His wish hadn't set strict conditions—the bomb could still detonate under odd variables.

"Wahhh!" Uzaki Hana clung to Su Ze's arm, sobbing.

She'd nearly died.

Just watching a match, almost becoming Fragmented Hana.

"Told you it might get dangerous," Su Ze said, patting her head helplessly.

Good thing he'd redeemed those dragonflies, or this would've been messy.

Revival methods existed in both worlds but were hard to come by.

He glanced at Yamauchi Sakura, who looked like a rabbit escaping a snake, panicked, taking two cautious steps before flinging herself at him, sobbing.

"Boss, I almost died!" Yuba Ri broke, hugging him, crying, then muttering, "You owe me compensation!"

The three weren't alone in their fear—others shared it.

Though they knew Su Ze's side was safest, they didn't crowd him, just edged closer.

Senna Sora, watching the four embrace, flashed envy, subtly tugging Su Ze's sleeve.

A small gesture, unnoticed by others.

"Save my mom!" Mary Sera appeared at the door, holding Mary Akai, her handsome face etched with desperation.

Kurapika nearly fired.
