The Kengan Association's elite medical team served only VIPs.
Mary Akai, unconscious and critical, left Mary Sera with no choice but Su Ze.
Senna Riko spotted the tomboyish girl and stepped forward, bristling. "Who're you?!"
Su Ze, monitoring through his invisible dragonflies, pieced together the situation. Bypassing Riko, he approached Sera.
"We just helped you!" Sera stepped back, wary.
"I know," Su Ze nodded, crafting a healing candy and slipping it into Mary's mouth.
Sera's face twisted, grabbing his arm, but it didn't faze him.
Her hands bore fighter's calluses, strong for a girl, but compared to Su Ze, she was five Juliuses short.
"It's good stuff. She'll recover," Su Ze said, lifting Mary's chin gently to slide the candy down her throat.
As an MI6 agent, Mary would likely report the candy to British higher-ups, but Su Ze didn't care.
With his strength, governments should fear him, not the other way around.
Heavy footsteps echoed.
The Wu Clan and Kengan guards arrived.
"My deepest apologies, Mr. Su. Our men were taken out," Wu Horisumi said gravely, bowing.
Tasked by Wu Huiliyang to guard Yono and the others, he'd slacked, assigning just two men before watching the match.
He bore full responsibility for this lapse.
A catastrophic oversight!
Had the attackers succeeded, the consequences would've been unthinkable.
"I don't want this happening again," Su Ze said, his face unreadable.
Against pros like Gin, the Senna sisters could do little.
Su Ze hadn't fully relied on the Wu Clan, but their failure stung.
For protection, a permanent aura skill seemed more reliable.
"Understood!" Horisumi tensed, bowing lower.
Standing before Su Ze, he felt crushing pressure, like facing a king on his throne.
The girls might not sense it, but as a killer dancing on knife's edge, Horisumi was hypersensitive to this deathly aura.
"Boss, the target escaped by helicopter," Wu Fengshui reported, sniper rifle slung over her shoulder. "I damaged it—it won't fly far before crashing."
Her striking eyes met Su Ze's unabashedly.
This is my man?
Su Ze raised a brow. A helicopter? Either the organization's doing or Gin's own setup.
Gin's fate didn't matter. Given time, Su Ze could uproot the winery entirely.
The priority was recouping losses.
The final could've netted another 100,000–200,000 desire points, cut short.
As he mulled, the corridor parted. Katahara Metsudo, Tokugawa Mitsunari, and Wu Huiliyang arrived, trailed by Kengan members.
Mary, cradled by Sera, stirred but kept feigning unconsciousness.
Three global titans appearing together.
The Kengan's influence was terrifying.
"Miss Yukishita, your company won. You may appoint the next Kengan president," Metsudo said, leaning on his cane, addressing Yono solemnly.
All eyes locked on Yono.
Me?
Yono blinked, stunned.
Su Ze had actually won the final.
She could be president!
Her heart raced, but recalling Su Ze's orders during their whirlwind moments, she hesitated, then declared, "I choose Su Ze as president!"
A shocking announcement—no one expected Su Ze.
Nogi Hideki seethed with reluctance.
The Shinomiya Ramen Shop's trio of misfits cheered.
Other members…
Murmured furiously!
"He's not choosing Mr. Katahara?!"
"Do you know what you're doing?"
"A high schooler as president? Us, follow him?"
Dissent filled the air.
Many were Metsudo loyalists, seeing him as the Kengan's anchor.
Finally, one member lashed out.
Yoshitaka Kirou of Yoshitaka Real Estate, dressed flamboyantly, pointed at Su Ze. "If he's president, I'm out—"
Bang!
A gunshot rang out.
A crater formed at Kirou's feet. He collapsed, trembling.
Wu Fengshui's pistol aimed at his head, her smile serene. "Please respect the president."
Metsudo glanced at Huiliyang, surprised.
The old fox sided with Su Ze!
Huiliyang laughed heartily. "Forgot to mention—the Wu Clan will guard President Su and maintain Kengan peace."
"Haha!" Wu Leian, enjoying the show, taunted Metsudo. "Old man, the Wu Clan runs the Kengan now!"
Metsudo frowned briefly, then smiled at Huiliyang. "Old friend, I trust you with the Kengan."
Huiliyang's eyes glinted slyly. "The Wu Clan serves only President Su. But we're still friends—call us anytime."
No room for internal strife.
Su Ze was family now.
Tokugawa clasped his hands to Su Ze, grinning. "President Su, the Tokugawa Group joins the Kengan. As a gift, we'll inject ten trillion yen to expand its scale!"
Gasps followed.
No one expected Tokugawa to jump in!
His influence rivaled Metsudo's, his lineage tracing back to the shogunate.
No more objections.
The Kengan's rise was unstoppable—quitting now was foolish.
Su Ze glanced at Tokugawa, surprised.
The old man's support was crucial.
Force alone wasn't sustainable.
"We'll talk after the match," Su Ze said, smiling at Tokugawa.
Tokugawa's eyes lit up, then clouded. "After? Isn't it over?"
"I never said it was!" Su Ze grinned.
