Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: A New Storm Has Appeared

"How did you solve it?!" Lisa no longer cared about gender distinctions and stood directly in front of Yu Jin.

She leaned closer, as if trying to find a hint of a joke through the gaps in Yu Jin's helmet.

But she failed; she only saw a patch of darkness and Collei stomping beside Yu Jin.

It was normal for Lisa to be so shocked. As a Scholar, she clearly understood how troublesome the remnants of the gods were.

Not to mention Eleazar, which left all of Sumeru helpless. One must know, Sumeru is the Nation of wisdom!

A problem that even they couldn't solve was actually resolved by Yu Jin. How could she not be shocked?

"Uh... it's not something I can explain clearly in a short while, okay? Inside, inside." Yu Jin thought about it and realized he really couldn't explain it to Lisa.

He couldn't possibly say: "Gold, I used extremely pure gold!"

Speaking of which, ever since he came to this world, he's always been using the Prayer of the Golden Order. Someone who didn't know might think he was Radagon.

But this couldn't be helped, because the Golden Order ruled The Lands Between for the longest time, so the Prayers that were passed down were the most numerous and most practical.

Leading everyone back into the house, Yu Jin really couldn't stand Lisa's fervent gaze. He felt that if he didn't give her an explanation, Lisa would probably just squat in his house.

"Alright, alright, see for yourself, stop staring at me like that, it's creepy." Yu Jin shivered, then pulled out several books, each several tens of centimeters thick, from who knows where.

Lisa looked at them; there were three in total. They were respectively: "Golden Order Fundamentalism — Return and Causality Explained," "Outline of the Golden Order," and "Correction — An Attempt to Solve the Problem of the Golden Order's Causality."

Lisa only felt a headache coming on. She didn't expect that feeling where she knew every word but couldn't understand them when put together would reappear for her.

Yu Jin saw Lisa rubbing her temples and suddenly remembered something. He continued, "Oh, right, I forgot, there are many concepts in these that you don't know. Here, there's another book. Take it and read it. If you don't understand something, just flip through this book."

"Another one?!" Lisa exclaimed, these were enough to keep her busy for a while, and she didn't expect it to be not over yet.

"Don't be so surprised! These are used for basic literacy where I'm from, and I even wrote some of them, let me tell you, they're very interesting." Yu Jin said, pulling out an even thicker book.

Lisa took it, and then she saw the prominent words "Guide to The Lands Between" on the cover. Below the title were smaller words that read "Editor-in-Chief — Yu Jin."

There were too many things to comment on; she didn't know where to start.

"What did you do before?" Lisa asked when she saw Yu Jin's name on the book.

"Nothing much, just a small job. Now I'm retired, so I came here to play." Yu Jin waved his hand and said.

"Brother Yu Jin, I want one too!"

"And me! I want one too!"

Hearing that there was something to learn about Yu Jin's homeland, Garura and Collei immediately became eager.

"Alright, one for each of you. Take good care of them; this is the first book I ever wrote." Yu Jin waved his hand, and two more identical books appeared on the table.

"Oh, right, you mentioned inviting someone to treat Collei and Garura earlier. What's that about?" Yu Jin asked Lisa, who was already engrossed in reading.

"It's Cyno. We told Sumeru about the Harbinger's visit to Mondstadt, and they decided to send Cyno to investigate. It just so happens that I know him, so I asked him for a favor." Lisa replied without looking up.

"Who is Cyno?" Yu Jin asked curiously.

"He's the General Mahamatra of Sumeru. He's very powerful, that's all you need to know." Lisa seemed to have anticipated Yu Jin's question and immediately answered his confusion.

"Oh." Yu Jin nodded. He didn't understand, but he felt it would be impolite to ask further.

"Knock knock!" Just then, a knock sounded at the door.

"Come in, the door's unlocked." Although he was a bit puzzled as to who would be looking for him so late at night, Yu Jin still invited the person in. A guest is a guest, after all.

"Oh, did I come at the wrong time? Such a wonderful study session, how delightful." Kaeya said with a teasing smile when he saw many books, which looked headache-inducing, displayed in Yu Jin's house.

"Yes, so may I ask you to leave first?" Lisa retorted to Kaeya unceremoniously.

"Such hurtful words! Can't I learn a bit too?" Kaeya spread his hands, not minding Lisa's words.

"Alright, what is it?" Yu Jin interrupted their bickering and asked Kaeya.

This guy was always elusive; he must have something to talk to him about this time.

Kaeya also put away his playful thoughts and said somewhat seriously, "The new Harbinger, 'The Lady,' is coming in two days. Aren't you going to see her then?"

"See what? Does she have flowers on her face? Do I need to make a special trip to see her?" Yu Jin said indifferently.

"Cough cough! That way of speaking is truly unique." Kaeya choked on Yu Jin's words. Then he continued, "After all, she's our future opponent. There's no harm in understanding her."

"Fine, I'll give you face, I'll go see her." Yu Jin didn't refuse Kaeya's suggestion. He also wanted to see if every Harbinger was as special as Dottore.

"That's good. The day after tomorrow at noon, at Mondstadt Square, the Knights of Favonius will officially meet her. We'll see each other there." Kaeya heard Yu Jin agree, mentioned the location, and prepared to leave.

"Wait, I'm also going out. Help me carry some books." Lisa saw that it was getting late and immediately grabbed Kaeya to act as a porter.

"Huh? No way? I didn't get anything and now I have to be your porter?" Kaeya's face instantly fell.

"Knights of Favonius must learn to help Mondstadt residents!" Lisa showed no embarrassment, directly piling the books high and placing them in Kaeya's arms.

Then the two of them walked out, bickering.

Yu Jin watched Lisa and Kaeya disappear into the night. He turned to look at Garura and Collei.

Just now, after Lisa said the word "Sumeru," their conditions seemed a bit off.

It made sense; their names had clear Sumeru characteristics, and everything they once had was in Sumeru.

"Do you want to go back?" Yu Jin stroked Collei and Garura's heads and said.

"Mm." Garura no longer had her usual vitality. Unlike Collei, she was captured by the Fatui midway, and her relatives were still waiting for her return in Sumeru.

"Sumeru is the Nation of wisdom, right? I heard it holds all the wisdom of Teyvat." Collei's body trembled, and she was still muttering something.

"Brother Yu Jin, do you think there's knowledge there that can remove the 'thing' inside you?" Collei looked up and asked Yu Jin seriously.

Yu Jin's hand stiffened slightly, then he smiled and said, "I imagine there is. After all, that is the nation of the God of wisdom."

"Maybe I'll even have to rely on you in the future."

Collei's eyes widened. She also smiled, "Then Brother Yu Jin must wait for me to return after my studies, okay?"

The entanglement in her heart was swept away. Why was she born in a Fatui laboratory? Why didn't she have parents? Many 'whys' used to constantly torment Collei's heart.

But now it didn't matter. Her journey to Sumeru now had only one goal: to help Yu Jin find a way to make him normal.

"What, what? Why can't I understand what you two are saying?" Garura realized she couldn't understand what Yu Jin and Collei were talking about and immediately became anxious.

"It's like this..." Collei looked at the anxious Garura, leaned into her ear, and repeated what Yu Jin had told her before.

"Mmm—" Garura's small face puffed up like a squirrel's after hearing it.

Poke, poke again. Yu Jin found it amusing, so he poked Garura's puffed-up cheeks.

"Ow!" Garura got annoyed by the poking and immediately bit Yu Jin's finger.

A strong metallic taste instantly filled her mouth, causing her to let go immediately.

After spitting, she said indignantly, "Don't hide things from me anymore!"

"Alright, alright, no more hiding." Yu Jin rubbed Garura's head, saying helplessly.

"And you have to wait for me too." Garura, like Collei, now had a new goal in her heart.

"I will wait, don't worry, I'm always here." Yu Jin said with a smile.
