Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Not How You Fight

"Mondstadt? No, some places are different." The Damselette suddenly realized, how did she end up in Mondstadt Square?

Even more bizarre, there wasn't a single person in Mondstadt at this moment; it was like an illusion.

But the feeling of the ground beneath her feet, the caress of the breeze—everything felt so real.

"Who are you!" Suddenly, a deep voice came from behind her.

The Damselette turned to look and saw a Knights of Favonius holding a sword. The Knight raised his Favonius Greatsword, the tip pointed at the Damselette, his resolute face filled with vigilance.

"Who am I? I am… I am…" The Damselette had intended to answer that she was a Fatui Harbinger.

But the words caught in her throat, unable to be spoken.

The Damselette felt this man was so familiar; she had so much she wanted to say to the Knight, yet she didn't know what to say. She had forgotten many things.

"Why are you inside Rosalyne! Where is Rosalyne, where is she?! Tell me!!!" The Knight's expression turned grim; his mind was losing control.

He held onto a belief; he saw sin on the Damselette and thought Rosalyne was still alive, that he could atone with her.

But now, it seemed Rosalyne was indeed dead.

If that was the case, he couldn't allow someone to continue committing heinous acts in Rosalyne's body!

With a decision made, Young Wolf Rostam swung his greatsword, attacking the Damselette.

"Stop! It's not like this!" The Damselette didn't retaliate; she screamed and dodged.

Her heart felt as if it had shattered into pieces; never had such a piercing pain afflicted her body.

Vaguely, an orange-yellow flicker of fire flashed in her eyes.

Despair attracts the Frenzied Flame. What could be more despairing than having your beloved draw a sword against you?

...Inside the Initial Fire Pit, You Sui saw the Frenzied Flame twist into strips and immediately felt very confused.

"Despair, more despair, despair deeper than death!" The Frenzied Flame twisted; it seemed very happy.

"Alright, another one gone crazy." You Sui saw the Frenzied Flame completely turn into a "strip" of fire and thought that a lunatic was a lunatic, incomprehensible.

"You're not far off; who plays chess with himself?" Another identical puddle of mud opposite You Sui said.

"Why are you even scolding yourself?" You Sui asked.

"Because I am a lunatic." You Sui replied… "Stop, don't… don't…"

"I'm sorry… I'm sorry…"

"????!" Yu Jin looked at the Damselette, crying a river of tears, feeling as if he was dreaming.

What happened? Why couldn't he understand?

"Holy crap, Little Frenzy, what's wrong with you!" Yu Jin reached into his body and pulled out a strip of orange-yellow flame.

"Despair! Wonderful despair!" The Frenzied Flame, pulled out by Yu Jin, was oblivious; it was already immersed in the Damselette's love, hate, and emotional turmoil.

"Wham! Wham!" Yu Jin immediately gave the Frenzied Flame two big slaps, instantly knocking it back into a spherical shape.

"Are you awake?" Yu Jin asked.

The spherical Frenzied Flame swayed up and down, indicating that it was awake.

"What's going on?" Yu Jin looked at the crying Damselette in the dream and asked the Frenzied Flame.

"Reporting, Boss, it's like this…" The Frenzied Flame immediately recounted everything it had done to the Damselette to Yu Jin.

"You have a problem." Yu Jin looked at the Frenzied Flame, which was starting to twist again, then looked at the crying Damselette, only feeling that the Frenzied Flame might have awakened some strange Hobbies.

However, Yu Jin didn't pay too much attention; he grabbed the Frenzied Flame and shoved it back into his body—break time was over.

"I didn't expect you to have such a tragic past." Yu Jin stroked his chin, muttering as he looked at the Damselette's face, full of pain and despair.

"But you'll still have to burn!" Yu Jin made a judgment about the Damselette because he felt that those who died because of her were even more tragic.

Clapping his hands casually, Yu Jin walked out of the hotel.

"Hmm—" Yu Jin stretched, then disappeared into the night.

Time flowed silently, and the sun once again hung in the Sky.

"Phew!" The Damselette suddenly woke from her sleep.

She looked at the already soaked bedding, and the image of the man in her dream drawing his sword against her resurfaced in her mind.

"Hiss!" The Damselette clutched her chest as a heart-wrenching pain swept over her again.

She touched her cheek and found tears had unknowingly slipped down again.

"Who am I? Who is he? Why! Why can't I remember anything!" The Damselette clutched her head, a splitting headache assailing her.

Suddenly, the Damselette looked up; she gazed in one direction, and in her eyes, a small flame flickered, like a beacon from the other shore.

However, the beacon in the Damselette's eyes was currently peeking at a young girl.

"Tsk, this little girl, why hasn't she improved?" Yu Jin looked at Ellin, who was continuously swinging her sword below, and subtly complained.

Ever since he started peeking at Ellin, he had always seen her swinging her sword repeatedly, with no change in time or posture.

Practicing like this, when would she achieve results?

"That's not how you fight, little one." Yu Jin jumped down from the city wall and said to Ellin.

"My name is Ellin, may I ask who you are?" Ellin saw Yu Jin jump down, first introducing herself, then asking.

"Yu Jin, give me the sword." Yu Jin casually replied, then snatched the wooden sword from Ellin's hand.

"Watch closely!" Yu Jin walked to the middle of the wooden stake group, then he gripped the sword with both hands and spun agilely twice.

The immense force even generated gusts of wind, and at the tip of the sword, the air created visible white streaks due to his rapid movement.

Spinning Slash—a combat skill used by highly agile swordsmen, allowing them to spin significantly and slash at enemies, and can be followed up with a chase attack if used again.

Yu Jin stopped spinning, and the surrounding strong winds gradually subsided as they lost their momentum.

Once everything settled, only Yu Jin remained standing in the space where he stood. On the ground were only fragments of shredded wooden stakes.

"You… how did you do that!" Ellin's eyes widened. To achieve such great power with only martial arts, without using any element energy, was something she had never heard of.

"Want to learn? I'll teach you." Yu Jin saw Ellin's hesitant expression and said with a smile.

"Really? Really?" Ellin was a little disbelieving; she said somewhat shyly, "But my family doesn't have any extra Mora."

"No Mora needed."

"My family doesn't have any treasures either."

"No treasures needed."

"Then why do you want to teach me?" Ellin looked at Yu Jin warily, thinking, 'It couldn't be...' Yu Jin saw what Ellin was thinking and said helplessly, "Because of this of yours."

Saying that, Yu Jin tapped his chest.

"This?" Ellin also followed suit and covered her chest, still looking a bit confused.

"Seeing a vibrant yet tenacious heart, I'm very happy; that's why." Yu Jin nodded, explaining.

"Ah!" Ellin's face immediately turned red; it was the first time a stranger had praised her like that.

"Learning or not?" Yu Jin found it somewhat amusing.

"Learning, learning, learning!" Ellin immediately agreed, afraid Yu Jin would run off.

"Alright then, let's start with the most basic stance. Your previous stance had some issues…"

A gentle breeze swept through, and the resolute shouts of the young girl once again echoed in the secluded clearing, but this time, there was also the chattering of another person.

The sunlight changed from warm to scorching, then to dim. A day passed in a flash.

"It's getting late, I should go back." Yu Jin looked at the sunset on the horizon; standing for a whole day, he was a bit tired too.

"Take these, and you go back too. Don't practice so crazily; it's bad for your body." Yu Jin handed Ellin a book and a string of perfumer's potions.

The book was "Straight Sword Techniques Explained—with Beginner-Friendly Combat Ashes," and the perfumer's potion was his specially made Invigorating Aroma, used to relax muscles and bones.

"Ah? Oh!" Ellin, holding a pile of things, was a bit at a loss.

"Tomorrow, same time, I'll wait for you. Beginners need to learn a lot; it'll be better later." Yu Jin waved his hand, his back to Ellin, and walked into the distance. Then he suddenly remembered something and said:

"Oh, by the way, I live at Windmill Street, No. 34. If you have any questions, you can come find me."

Ellin watched Yu Jin's receding figure, then suddenly shouted loudly, "Master—thank you—"

Hearing the young girl's call from behind him, Yu Jin felt a little happy. What kind of flowers would the seeds he planted bloom into?

He was a little excited.
