Early morning, outside Mondstadt City.
The previously desolate wilderness was now bustling with people.
They were Yu Jin's friends and the Adventurers' Guild examiners.
"Hahaha! I didn't expect it to be this lively! Newcomer, I already foresee that this Adventure will be exceptionally exciting!"
Cyrus, with his golden hair and monocle, was still wearing his perpetually green Adventurer's attire.
At this moment, he was full of enthusiasm, shouting loudly.
As the Guild Master of the Adventurers' Guild's Mondstadt branch, Cyrus valued every Adventurer in the Guild. Whenever a newcomer came for a test, he would always be one of the examiners.
"Alright, newcomer, the Hilichurl camp is just ahead. Let me see your fighting style!" Cyrus waved his hand and led everyone forward.
"No problem!" Yu Jin excitedly followed behind Cyrus. He was already a little impatient.
Soon, a depression appeared before everyone's eyes.
In the depression, several Hilichurls and a Samachurl were aimlessly wandering.
Next to them, several explosive barrels were casually placed. Those were products of condensed Pyro element, exuded by the Pyro Slimes captured by the Hilichurls.
Cyrus looked and was very satisfied. The camp's strength was neither too strong nor too weak. There were ordinary Hilichurls to test the newcomer's close combat skills, and a Samachurl to test the newcomer's response to elemental power.
Coupled with the explosive barrels for assistance, it could also test the newcomer's combat wisdom. Perfect!
"Newcomer, drive these Hilichurls away!" Cyrus said to Yu Jin.
"Drive away?" Yu Jin thought for a moment, feeling confident this time.
"Watch closely!" Yu Jin roared and rushed furiously towards the Hilichurl camp below.
"Hey…" Cyrus was about to remind Yu Jin not to be so reckless, but he was quickly choked into silence by the scene before him.
"Ya, Biat (Human, beat up!)" The Hilichurls in the camp saw someone rushing over and immediately yelled, charging forward.
"@# (Not human, it's Hilichurl)" Yu Jin mumbled a string of Hilichurlian, then released a Hilichurl aura.
That was the Hilichurl soul aura within his body. Of course, they had now reverted to humans.
"#^$/ (New Hilichurl! Familiar aura!)" The Hilichurls immediately became friendly towards Yu Jin, and even the Samachurl gathered around.
"★&..." Then, under everyone's astonished gaze, Yu Jin and the Hilichurls began chatting animatedly.
Yu Jin pulled out a pen from who knows where and started scribbling on the Samachurl's Forbidden Scroll.
He also occasionally tapped the Samachurl's head, leaving the other party stunned.
"Tomo! (Thanks)" The Hilichurls began dancing around Yu Jin.
Yu Jin pointed his hand deeper into the wilderness, and the Hilichurls understood. They packed up their families and ran towards the depths of the wilderness.
Yu Jin looked at the empty camp. Mission accomplished!
"Are you kidding me! Has this guy mutated into a Hilichurl with normal intelligence?!" Kaeya frantically complained about the scene before him. It was his first time seeing someone communicate so fluently with Hilichurls.
"How interesting, the mysteries are piling up." Lisa, seeing this unexpected scene, couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle.
"How was it, Guild Master!" Yu Jin gloated for a while, then scurried back.
"Uh… alright! First test, passed!" Cyrus was not a pedantic person and immediately announced Yu Jin had passed the first test.
"Don't get too happy, newcomer. Combat is only part of an Adventure, but not all of it!" Cyrus, fearing Yu Jin would get carried away, reminded him.
"I didn't fight just now." Yu Jin said seriously.
"Don't mind the details. Next, the second test: Adventuring Techniques, begin!" Cyrus pretended not to hear Yu Jin and quickly led everyone to the next test location.
Finally, everyone stopped before a dilapidated ruin.
"Come on, newcomer! Show your wisdom and intelligence, solve the puzzle, and open the door to the treasure chest!" Cyrus shouted loudly, as if he himself was taking the test.
This was a ruin of a lost ancient civilization, and the hardness of its door was rare in the world. To pass, one could only find the mechanism.
"Open?" As everyone knew, Yu Jin was good at grasping the main point, and this time was no exception.
Yu Jin took a deep breath and walked to the door. Then, an enormous great hammer was slung over his shoulder.
From a distance, the gigantic hammerhead completely obscured half of his body.
Crushing Giant Hammer — a massive rock hammer used in the Giant War. The heaviest weapon in The Lands Between.
"Ah—" Yu Jin braced his feet on the ground and let out a loud roar, the immense sound wave kicking up the earth around him.
Troll's Roar — Roar towards the distance, knocking back surrounding characters and creating a shockwave. After activation, a heavy attack can be performed, striking fiercely.
"Wait…" Cyrus wanted to say something, but his voice was quickly drowned out—Yu Jin's voice was too loud.
Immediately after, he saw Yu Jin raise the giant rock hammer above his head, and a massive power began to accumulate within him.
"Boom!!!" A tremendous sound came from Yu Jin, the ground trembled, and dust flew everywhere.
After a long while, everyone saw a pulsating dark shadow appear in the dust and smoke. Yu Jin jogged out from it.
Damn it! Everyone's eyes widened at the scene before them.
That pulsating dark shadow wasn't Yu Jin, but the Crushing Giant Hammer! Yu Jin was now holding the hammer with one hand, the giant hammer swinging with the movement of his arm. In his other hand, he held a white piece of paper.
"Guild Master, did I pass?" Yu Jin handed the paper to Cyrus, his face full of anticipation.
Cyrus tremblingly took the paper. He looked at it; it was indeed the paper he had placed inside the ruin's door.
He looked at Yu Jin, who was holding the Crushing Giant Hammer, which was larger than a Mitachurl, with one hand, then looked at the ruins, which had been reduced to rubble in the distance.
He loudly announced: "Very… very good, newcomer, you have passed the second test!"
"Truly… wild." Diluc twitched the corner of his mouth. Yu Jin always surprised him.
"Wow! Brother Yu Jin is so strong!" Amber looked at the large crater on the ground, wondering how many Baron Bunnies it would take to create such a blast.
"Alright, now finally the last item! Takeoff test, starting now!" Cyrus quickly adjusted.
The Adventurers' Guild Branch Master was not a title earned in vain!
The last test was the simplest of the three, much easier than a flying license test!
"Come on, newcomer! As long as you can successfully fly down this slope, you will officially become an Adventurer!" Cyrus pointed to a high slope, speaking with passion.
Another newcomer was about to become an Adventurer. Just thinking about it was exciting!
To everyone's surprise, Yu Jin's eyes narrowed upon hearing this. Indeed, becoming an Adventurer wasn't that simple. It seemed the last item was the real test.
"Hey, Brother Yu Jin doesn't seem to have a Wind Glider, does he?" Garura whispered to Collei.
"Uh, I don't think he does." Collei scratched her head. Yu Jin indeed didn't have a Wind Glider.
"What? He doesn't have a Wind Glider?" Cyrus overheard their whispers, somewhat disbelieving.
He looked at Yu Jin standing against the wind in the distance, a bad premonition in his heart.
Yu Jin felt the breeze on the high slope and made a decision. Was he forced to use that move?
He pulled out a Half-Leaf Greatsword, raised it above his head, and began to spin it continuously.
"Buzz buzz buzz!" The Guan Dao sliced through the air, and the immense lift carried Yu Jin off the ground, sending him flying into the Sky.
Secret Technique — Spiral Ascension!
"Swish swish swish!" Yu Jin spun the Guan Dao above his head, slowly flying next to Cyrus with a strong gust of wind.
The immense wind bent the large trees and flattened the grass.
"Guild Master, did I pass?" Yu Jin stopped his rotating arm.
Cyrus rubbed his reddened eyes—those were sparks from Yu Jin's rapidly spinning hands that had fallen into his eyes.
He shouted loudly: "Newcomer, celebrate, for you are now officially an Adventurer!"
"Yay!"
