Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Crossing the Sea, Setting Sail!

At Eagle Plume Beach, a man covered in iron armor was cautiously testing the seawater.

Touch it! Pull back. Touch it! Pull back.

Yu Jin was like a kitten encountering water, testing the water with his hands.

This was Yu Jin's first time trying to enter the water. There were no seas in the Dark Souls world, but there were seas in the elden ring world.

But were those real seas? The shallow sea was only about ten meters deep; beyond that, it immediately plunged into the You Sui deep sea.

It was less of an ocean and more like an incredibly deep cliff filled with water.

Even now, Yu Jin didn't know how deep the elden ring's seas were.

After much testing, Yu Jin felt that he should no longer be afraid of water. So, he plunged into the sea with a powerful leap.

The Spring Sprite's blessing began to take effect, a faint blue light covering Yu Jin's body.

He could feel an inexplicable force in the water lifting him, and oxygen from the seawater continuously permeated his body.

Waving his arms, Yu Jin felt as if he were a fish in the water, swimming a great distance in an instant.

"Hahaha, the first Undead to swim, I did it!" Yu Jin shouted, confirmed his direction, and began to swim tirelessly.

His arms moved so fast that only blurs could be seen. Correspondingly, the splashes behind Yu Jin soared high.

A pure white wave sped across the vast sea, and Yu Jin swam from dawn until...???

Yu Jin looked up at the Sky; dense dark clouds hung over the sea, with dragon-like purple lightning flashing within them.

Looking further, a faint purple aura shimmered in the air above the sea. Substantial element of Electro formed streaks of lightning dancing in the seawater.

It was impossible to tell the time at all!

Yu Jin floated in the water, thinking that no one mentioned Inazuma's waters having such a huge storm.

He thought for a moment, and then nine rings inlaid with yellow gemstones appeared on his fingers.

Lightning Scorpian Charm (Original, +1, +2) — Three sets of the Scorpian Charm, widely known as a symbol for knights. The yellow ring is given to those who hunt dragons, increasing lightning DMG negation.

Immediately after, three small yellow shield-shaped talismans appeared on his waist belt.

Boltdrake Talisman (Original, +1, +2) — A talisman depicting a yellow Ancient Dragon, which increases lightning DMG negation.

In the prehistoric era, before the Golden Tree appeared, Ancient Dragons were said to be the rulers of that age and the impenetrable shield protecting the king. Thus, the dragon's image was regarded as a symbol of various blessings.

Yu Jin looked at the talismans on his body, and the more he looked, the more he felt his lightning resistance must be around 90%.

He relaxed and swam into the storm zone.

"Boom!!!" A deafening roar of thunder came, and lightning from the Sky poured down!

Purple light exploded all over the sea surface where Yu Jin was, the extreme high temperature directly causing the seawater to Vaporize, and the sea churned as if boiling.

"A bit intense," Yu Jin felt the lightning pass through his body, only feeling a tingling sensation.

"However, to stop me, it's still not enough," Yu Jin smiled proudly, then began to paddle again.

But this time, the splashes behind him turned from white to purple, and lightning occasionally struck him.

Because the Sky was covered by dark clouds and everything was gloomy, Yu Jin couldn't tell how long he had been swimming.

"I'm really impressed. With such incredible weather, there are actually people coming to Inazuma. For the thrill of it?"

Another bolt of lightning struck Yu Jin. Although it couldn't cause DMG, it was extremely insulting.

Yu Jin didn't know that this storm was a manifestation of the Raiden Shogun's will. He only felt that Inazuma was a treacherous place.

At the same time, he began to admire Ryota; it was truly not easy for an ordinary person to pass through such a fierce storm.

Yu Jin swam and swam, finally seeing land appear in the distance.

"Finally here!!!" He had already passed through the storm zone, but the subsequent sea was calm, making him doubt if he had swum to the wrong place.

Fortunately, perseverance paid off, and Yu Jin finally saw land... The coast of Ritou was still calm. Since the Sakoku Decree was issued, the usually bustling Ritou had become much quieter.

But what everyone didn't know was that a figure quietly climbed onto the coast of Ritou.

Yu Jin glanced around nervously; he had stowed away again. This was the biggest bad thing he had done since coming to Teyvat.

"With my achievements of saving two worlds, can't I just stow away a little?" Yu Jin thought, and his chest puffed out again.

But it was still better to be careful. He felt that Inazuma's administrators wouldn't listen to his explanation.

So, Yu Jin once again transformed into an agile wildcat, leaping through the bushes of Ritou.

Soon, Yu Jin was having a blast.

After climbing over a cliff, an ancient port city built by the sea appeared before Yu Jin's eyes.

"Let's see if I can get a permit," Yu Jin looked at the city before him, feeling a bit eager. Not being able to go in and play was a bit frustrating.

He concealed his figure, silenced his movements, and began his familiar parkour over roofs and walls.

Inazuma's atmosphere was completely different from Mondstadt's. The city before him clearly had a somewhat grim atmosphere, with spear-wielding Ashigaru patrolling the streets from time to time.

This made Yu Jin even more nervous.

When he first saw the city, he felt it looked familiar. Now, seeing the Ashigaru here, he finally remembered: the style here was almost identical to the Eastern Country in The Lands Between.

Unfortunately, the Eastern Country was beyond the mists of The Lands Between, and after becoming Elden Lord, he didn't have time to explore it.

Based on his battles with the Eastern Country samurai in The Lands Between, he felt that the Eastern Country people were somewhat stubborn, even extreme. He wondered what the people here were like.

Yu Jin chose a high vantage point and observed carefully.

He noticed that many people in different attire were going in and out of a courtyard. They seemed to be foreigners.

Were they like him? Foreigners who wanted to get permits?

The more Yu Jin thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. He took advantage of the crowd and blended in.

Looking at the distressed faces of the people before him, Yu Jin was a bit confused. He casually pulled aside a person next to him and asked,

"Brother, what brings you here?"

The person was startled. Although he found Yu Jin's attire strange, he was too preoccupied with his own troubles to care about others.

"Sigh~, I want to know when my shipment will clear. It's been held by the Kanjou Commission for ages."

Yu Jin nodded, not understanding.

Then he asked others, receiving similar answers. Not a single person was there to apply for a permit to stay in Inazuma.

He had a bad feeling.

Just as Yu Jin was about to sneak away, a woman suddenly called out, "Hey! What are you doing here? I haven't seen you before."

Yurika saw Yu Jin looking around suspiciously and couldn't help but feel doubtful. She had seen all the foreigners in Ritou, and she didn't recall anyone like him. Could he be new?

"Me?" Yu Jin pointed to himself.

"Yes." Yurika was sure; she had never seen this foreigner.

"I want to get a permit. I want to stay in Inazuma for a while. Can I?" Yu Jin scratched his head, sounding a bit unconfident.

"You can? It just takes four million Mora and an island entry permit." Yurika found it a bit amusing. What kind of idiot stowed away to Inazuma without even knowing these basic facts?

"How much?!" Yu Jin's voice distorted in surprise. Four million Mora, he would have to sell seven Courtier's Straight Swords!

The key was, who would carry so many flashy but useless things?

"Four million, and an island entry permit." Yurika emphasized her words. Then she said,

"Outlander, may I see your island entry permit?"

Yu Jin immediately deflated, stammering and unable to speak.

"What are you standing around for? Seize him!" Seeing Yu Jin's reaction, Yurika immediately knew he had stowed away.

At Yurika's command, the Ashigaru of the Foreign Affairs Commission swarmed forward, surrounding Yu Jin.

Yu Jin saw that things had escalated and loudly explained, "Don't! I'm just delivering a letter. I'll leave as soon as I'm done."

Unfortunately, the Ashigaru didn't listen to his explanation. Left with no choice, Yu Jin leaped out of the encirclement.

"Hehe, next time I'll be fully prepared. Inazuma, I'll definitely be back!"

Yu Jin, in the distance, leaped and shouted confidently.
