Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: The Great Adventure!

"Wow! A Vision!!!"

"Yu Jin, which god are you?"

"I think it must be the God of Pyro!"

"Is a Pyro Vision like this?"

...The carriage gradually moved further away, but Yu Jin's mind became lively with Garura and Collei chattering incessantly.

"Alright, stop guessing. It's neither of those."

Yu Jin interrupted their bickering and then instructed:

"I didn't give you these to be lazy. If I find out you're not studying properly, you'll get a beating!"

His original intention was actually to give Garura and Collei some means of self-preservation, as he wasn't sure if the Fatui would find them again.

"Don't worry, Yu Jin! My miracles will definitely surpass yours someday! When that happens, you can hide behind me!"

"Hmm, I will. Then I'll be waiting for Yu Jin to check on me."

After a conversation in his mind, the sadness of parting was greatly diluted. Upon realizing this, Yu Jin's mind quieted down again.

There will be plenty of time in the future.

"Hmm--" Yu Jin stretched at the gates of Mondstadt. The sadness of parting was more evident in Garura and Collei.

As for Yu Jin? Sorry, his darkness had long been buried, and no negative emotions could affect him in the slightest.

Now that Garura and Collei had left, he could go on more distant Adventures.

Yay! It's a Great Adventure!

Yu Jin quickly ran into Mondstadt and arrived at the Adventurers' Guild counter.

"To the stars and the abyss, welcome to the Adventurers' Guild." Seeing someone arrive, Katheryne showed a professional smile.

"Katheryne, do you have any big commissions for me, preferably international ones!" Yu Jin excitedly patted the counter, a bit impatient.

"Oh? Mr. Yu Jin wants to take on a big commission?" A hint of surprise appeared in Katheryne's eyes.

Generally speaking, new Adventurers like Yu Jin, who had not been in the Adventurers' Guild for long, were not qualified to accept big commissions.

However, Yu Jin was a bit special; Vice-President Cyrus had specifically instructed her that if Yu Jin wanted to take any commission, she should give it to him directly.

Unfortunately, after joining the Adventurers' Guild, Yu Jin had only taken D and C-rank commissions. Now, suddenly wanting to do a big commission, it genuinely surprised Katheryne a little.

Katheryne didn't realize that she shouldn't have felt such an emotion.

"Hmm, preferably something like saving the world or exploring ancient ruins," Yu Jin said with some anticipation.

"Haha, Mr. Yu Jin is joking. The Adventurers' Guild doesn't have such commissions, and if such a situation were to arise, the Adventurers' Guild wouldn't be able to solve it," Katheryne said, checking for commissions and responding.

Then she pulled out a dusty commission from the wooden cabinet behind her and said to Yu Jin:

"This A-rank commission has been accumulating in the Adventurers' Guild for almost a year. This is already the highest-ranked commission we have here."

"?" Yu Jin's brow twitched. The Adventurers' Guild was not lacking in powerful individuals, and they always had an almost obsessive devotion to Adventure.

Whenever there was a big commission, they were always the first to rush to the front, which was why Yu Jin liked staying there.

But now, an A-rank commission had left these "veterans" unmoved, which made Yu Jin a bit curious.

He'd heard them brag in the taverns about how amazing they were, but an A-rank commission made them chicken out? He hadn't expected that.

"???" Yu Jin looked at the commission, and more question marks appeared above his head. All it said was to deliver a letter.

"Is the letter you're sending very strange?" Yu Jin asked. If the item being sent was dangerous, then it would warrant an A-rank commission.

"It's just an ordinary letter." Katheryne shook her head.

"Then this place called Inazuma must be very dangerous, right?" Since the letter itself wasn't the problem, then the destination must be.

"Uh..., it's barely dangerous, I suppose. The situation is quite complex. Why don't you talk to the client?"

Katheryne thought for a moment, not quite knowing how to explain it to Yu Jin, so she told him the client's residence.

"Alright." Yu Jin nodded, then grabbed the commission and rushed out in a flurry.

The client's name was Ryota, rumored to be an illustrator who had gone out for material and then stayed in Mondstadt.

When Yu Jin found him, he was sitting on a street bench, writing and drawing.

"Hey! Mr. Ryota?" Yu Jin patted Ryota's shoulder, waking him from his thoughts.

"Ah! I'm Ryota, and you are?" Ryota suddenly woke up, put away his sketchbook, and asked Yu Jin.

Although he was surprised when he saw Yu Jin's attire, he quickly adapted. This was Mondstadt, after all.

"I accepted your commission and wanted to ask about the details." Yu Jin shook the commission in his hand.

"Commission? What commission?" Ryota was startled at first, then suddenly reacted and said, "You're talking about that commission from last year, right!"

He then apologized, "I'm sorry to have troubled you. Let's just forget about that commission; you don't need to do it."

"Hmm? What do you mean? Looking down on me?" Yu Jin was a bit displeased. He had finally gotten a big commission, and he didn't want to give it up just like that.

"No, no! On the contrary, I should be thanking you for being willing to take my commission." Ryota quickly waved his hand, afraid Yu Jin would misunderstand.

Yu Jin listened, put his arm around Ryota's head, and said with a grin, "That's fine. You just tell me, and I'll take care of the rest."

"Sigh~, it's a long story. You know Inazuma, right?"

"I don't know." Yu Jin shook his head.

Ryota's words paused. He somewhat doubted his decision. "It's like Mondstadt, one of The Seven Nations."

"But our Electro Archon, Ei, for some reason, announced the Sakoku Decree, prohibiting all foreigners from entering."

"What's even more outrageous is that even Inazumans who are abroad aren't allowed back in!"

At this point, Ryota stomped his foot in anger. What kind of situation was this? He went abroad once and ended up becoming stateless.

"So you want to send a letter home to let your family know you're safe?" Yu Jin guessed his thoughts.

"Yes, my home is in Higi Village. This is the letter; just give it to the village chief. I'm an orphan, and the village chief is a good man who raised me. It's been so long since I've written to him, it feels wrong."

Ryota scratched his head and then said, "Wait a moment, I'll write it now. I put all my previous ones in message bottles."

Saying that, he propped open his sketchbook again and began writing in front of Yu Jin.

Yu Jin watched Ryota writing furiously and felt something was missing. Then he clapped his hands together. What kind of letter was it without an envelope?

So Yu Jin ran to the nearby general store and got an envelope.

"Here, put it in, write the address and recipient so I can find them easily." Yu Jin handed an envelope to the somewhat stunned Ryota.

"Thank you." Ryota seemed not to have expected Yu Jin to be so thoughtful and accepted it, somewhat flattered.

After all preparations were complete, Yu Jin carefully put away the envelope Ryota handed him and swiftly left.

Standing atop the city walls of Mondstadt, Yu Jin felt a bit emotional. He hadn't expected to be going on a long journey himself. But before that, there were still some things to handle.

Yu Jin looked at a luxurious tall building in Mondstadt, which was the Goth Grand Hotel, long since a Fatui stronghold.

Having been there once, Yu Jin's second entry into the Goth Grand Hotel was somewhat familiar.

His hidden form didn't attract anyone's attention as he passed through the wall and arrived at the Lady's desk, while the Lady beside him didn't notice him.

Yu Jin peered over the Lady's shoulder. It was something he didn't understand.

He scratched his head and said to the Lady, "So focused, what kind of scheme are you cooking up now?"

"Who!" In just an instant, the Lady turned around and froze Yu Jin in place.

"No? Although I was at fault first, there's no need to be so agitated, is there?" Yu Jin said, pulling his legs out of the ice pillars.

"What do you want!" The Lady stared intently at Yu Jin, not daring to be careless in the slightest.

"Nothing much. I'm going on a long journey, so I came to warn you." Yu Jin crossed his arms, seemingly feeling that this wasn't harsh enough, so he added:

"Lady! You had better be careful and not do anything bad! I know where you work, and I know where you live. You'd best remember that, understand?!"
