Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Fledgling Birds About to Take Flight

"I'm returning to Sumeru tomorrow morning, so prepare yourselves."

Early in the morning, Cyno arrived at Yu Jin's doorstep and laid out his plans to return.

"So soon?" Yu Jin frowned. Cyno had only been in Mondstadt for a few days, and he was already leaving?

"Yes, it's my duty. The Akademiya already has a lot of work waiting for me to handle." Cyno nodded and then explained, "There are very few clues. Staying longer won't yield any results, so it's better to go back and organize the clues I have."

"That's true. Then, see you tomorrow?"

"See you tomorrow."

After a simple farewell, the small house fell silent. Yu Jin looked at Garura and Collei, who seemed a bit down, and said with a smile, "Hurry and eat. After you're done, I'll teach you how to use the Sun Bracelet."

The two Damselette's eyes immediately lit up. Yu Jin had said that the Sun Bracelet had a teleportation function; they had never seen such a magical item before.

Under their ravenous eating, breakfast was quickly over.

Yu Jin held the Sun Bracelet and said to Garura and Collei, whose faces were full of anticipation, "First, this bracelet has two functions: communication and teleportation."

"You just need to place the bracelet on your head and think of the person or place you want to communicate with or teleport to."

"I only recommend you use the communication function, because teleportation is a one-way ticket. I'd have to send you back later."

Seeing Garura and Collei nodding like little chicks pecking rice, Yu Jin said directly, "Try it."

Then he walked out of the house, leaving Garura and Collei looking at each other.

"Sister Collei, shall we try?"

"Yes, we definitely have to try."

Yu Jin, leaning against the doorway, was idly watching the passersby when suddenly, a faint cry sounded in his mind.

"Are you there! Brother Yu Jin!!!"

"Brother Yu Jin?"

Two faint voices seemed to echo beside Yu Jin's ears. It seemed the two Damselette had mastered the trick to using the Sun Bracelet.

"Stop shouting, I'm here!" Yu Jin said in his mind, and this message was simultaneously transmitted to Garura and Collei's minds.

"Wow! How amazing!"

"It's true!"

Even Collei, who was usually more composed, couldn't help but exclaim. This was the first time she had seen such a magical item.

"Creak!" Seeing that everything was normal, Yu Jin entered the house and saw Garura and Collei shouting at the Sun Bracelet.

"Alright! You don't need to say it out loud, you can communicate in your mind." Yu Jin lightly tapped the two Damselette's heads.

"Hehe, it creates a better atmosphere, doesn't it?" Garura explained to Yu Jin with a smile. Communicating only in their minds felt a bit bland.

Collei, on the side, also nodded silently. She agreed with Garura.

Yu Jin looked at the sky; it was still early.

So he said to Garura and Collei, "We're leaving Mondstadt tomorrow. Come on, I'll take you to see Mondstadt properly!"

After speaking, Yu Jin, ignoring their shouts, carried one on his back and hugged the other as he ran out of Mondstadt City.

Yu Jin ran faster and faster with Garura and Collei, even the clouds in the sky couldn't keep up with his speed.

"We're flying!!!"

"Ah!!!"

The faster he ran, the stronger the wind became. Yu Jin felt the strong wind blowing past him and burst into laughter, spreading a pair of golden-red wings.

He rode the most violent currents, reaching places only Wind Dragons could reach before.

"Brother Yu Jin—what exactly are you—"

"Don't worry about it—"

Amidst the shouts of Yu Jin and the Damselette, they flew all over Mondstadt.

They listened to the wind's whisper atop the towers of Stormterror's Lair; imitated wolf howls in the dense forests of Wolvendom; chased Crystalfly on the great oak tree at Windrise; disturbed the Good Sleepers in Dadaupa Gorge, and watched the Good Meat clan's impotent rage from the sky.

Finally, Yu Jin sat with Garura and Collei at the edge of Starsnatch Cliff, watching the sunset.

Starsnatch Cliff was discovered by Yu Jin while wandering during his Adventure. From here, one could see a panoramic view of Mondstadt.

When he reached the cliff edge, Yu Jin decided he had to bring Garura and Collei here once.

"How is it? The place I found, isn't it beautiful?" Yu Jin stood up, looking at Mondstadt, where lights were beginning to twinkle in the distance, feeling exceptionally refreshed.

Whether it was the Dark Souls world or The Lands Between, there were countless places more perilous than Starsnatch Cliff.

However, he never had the leisure to look; a collapsing world always followed closely behind him. For the people and things he cherished, Yu Jin could only keep running, and unknowingly, he had run for tens of thousands of years.

But now, he had finally reached the end. A person like him even had the leisure to quietly observe this world.

"Hahaha! It's really good." Yu Jin stroked Garura and Collei's heads, letting out a sigh of emotion.

"What's good? That you can get rid of us soon?" Garura asked, feigning anger.

"Yes, it's really good." Collei wasn't as carefree as Garura. Today's experience, even in her most vivid dreams, had never occurred.

"Let's go. The steps towards tomorrow must be firm and profound. So, for the long journey, it's time to get some good rest!"

Seeing the hazy starlight on Starsnatch Cliff, Yu Jin knew it was getting late. He picked up the two Damselette again and flew towards Mondstadt City.

The stars' brilliance gradually shone, and Mondstadt City fell into slumber under the gaze of the stars and moon.

"How are you all doing?" Lying in bed, Yu Jin didn't chat with the four entities inside him as usual; he uncharacteristically indulged in memories.

"Solaire, Teacher Karla, Fire Keeper, Patches, Melina, Torrent…"

"Remember, I still remember you all, I haven't forgotten…"

...The morning sun illuminated Yu Jin's faceplate. He suddenly snapped back to reality. Had he fallen asleep?

How could an Undead fall asleep!

The scorching of the First Flame would not extinguish, and the gnawing of You Sui never stopped. The madness of the Frenzied Flame constantly filled his heart, and even rot wanted to bloom its Aeonian Flower on him.

How could he possibly fall asleep under such circumstances?

Many questions suddenly arose in Yu Jin's mind.

At this moment, inside the Initial Fire Pit.

You Sui, pressing down on the Frenzied Flame, recalled the scene from just now and said with a chilling laugh, "Hehe, I never thought that guy's Hollow face could show such a serene expression. It's truly a rare sight; even an Undead can sleep now."

"What do you say, you silly flame?"

The First Flame pulsed a few times, a rare regular rhythm. "Ah ba ah ba!"

He burned the rot even more vigorously… At the gates of Mondstadt City in the early morning, Garura, Collei, and Cyno were bidding farewell to Yu Jin.

"Hahaha, don't cry. The things inside my body still depend on you two to dispel them!" Yu Jin said jokingly, stroking the little heads of the two Damselette clinging to him.

Although he didn't think the God of wisdom could do anything about the four brats—oh no, three brats, the First Flame doesn't count—inside him, giving the Damselette some hope was always good.

"Then you must wait for me to return after I've learned!" Collei rubbed her eyes and said to Yu Jin.

"Me too!" Garura followed closely behind. She also wanted to do her part for Yu Jin.

"Let's go." Cyno, seeing that the two Damselette had vented enough, suggested they depart.

"Okay! (Mhm)" The two Damselette then got into the carriage next to Cyno.

"Here! This is my own simplified version. The Akademiya should have many smart people; study it. Even if it can't completely cure Eleazar, it can significantly suppress it." Yu Jin threw a scroll towards Cyno, who was a short distance away.

Cyno opened the scroll, quickly scanned it, then took a deep breath and said, "One day, when you come to Sumeru, I'll be your guide!"

He then also walked to the side of the carriage.

"Off we go—" With a long sigh from the coachman, the three moved further and further away from Mondstadt.

Inside the carriage, Garura and Collei remained silent, lost in thought.

Suddenly, a flash of light swept across Garura and Collei's waists—the brilliance of lightning and the profoundness of black flames.

They were startled and quickly poked their heads out, looking at the Mondstadt City gates behind them.

Yu Jin was still waving to them, as if forming a peculiar frequency with the two Visions on the Damselette's waists.

It turned out the gods had been watching them all along.
