"This is what you wanted, not a single Mora less." Schubert sat by the Shitou table and placed his briefcase on it.
The Fatui opposite opened the briefcase and saw it was full of Mora vouchers. Judging by the flowing element imprints on them, the amount was probably not small.
"Hahaha, we really didn't find the wrong person. Truly worthy of the Lawrence Family!" The Fatui touched one of the vouchers, their face immediately beaming with joy.
Their appearance was less like a Fatui and more like a con artist. At least, that's what Yu Jin, who was hiding behind, thought.
"It's good you know. Cooperating with our Lawrence Family is definitely the most correct choice for you Fatui." Schubert's nose almost turned up to the sky upon hearing the Fatui's praise.
"Where are the goods?" Schubert stopped showing off after a while. He wasn't running a charity.
"They're here." The Fatui waved a hand, and several soldiers came over, carrying large boxes.
Upon opening them, they revealed many colorful potions neatly arranged inside, looking particularly eye-catching.
"This…" Eula, glimpsing the contents of the box from afar, immediately recalled the strange drinks that had appeared at the family dinner a few days ago.
At the time, Schubert had kept urging her to drink more, and she hadn't expected these "drinks" were actually purchased from the Fatui. She had even thought her uncle had changed his ways!
Eula immediately closed her eyes, carefully sensing the changes within her body. The Fatui's goods were probably not good stuff.
Unfortunately, she didn't find anything unusual.
"What's wrong?" Yu Jin asked, seeing Eula's expression.
"Nothing, just watch their transaction. If I'm not mistaken, they should have already made several transactions," Eula shook her head, not saying much more.
She could investigate her body later; the immediate priority was to figure out the source of those potions and what schemes the family and the Fatui were up to.
"Are these potions really effective? It seemed like nothing changed after I drank them last time." Schubert looked at the potions in the wooden box, a little doubtful.
"Are you questioning the Lady Harbinger's credibility?" The Fatui glanced at Lei Chui and Anemo Boxer behind him.
The two understood, stepped forward, and then each picked up a bottle of purple and a bottle of green potion and drank them.
After drinking, they each flexed their muscles.
Looking at Lei Chui and Anemo Boxer's muscles, which were thicker than his own thighs, Schubert couldn't help but gulp. How wonderful it would be if he also had such strength.
"Do you know why all our Fatui soldiers are so strong?" The Fatui opposite spoke.
Schubert shook his head.
"It's because they drank this potion! Drink it, and a sixty-year-old becomes thirty, a forty-year-old becomes twenty, and a twenty-year-old becomes… uh."
"Ten," Schubert supplemented. He could still do that kind of math.
"The strength doubles," Anemo Boxer corrected from the side.
"Right, a twenty-year-old's strength doubles!" The Fatui opposite Schubert nodded, almost giving away the secret.
"Then why do you want to trade with us?" Schubert had another question. Why would the Fatui trade such confidential items with them?
It must be because they were moved by the glory of Lawrence!
The Fatui looked at Schubert, who had become inexplicably smug, and only thought he was insane.
However, he was a big fat… oh no, a big client, so satisfying his requests was very necessary.
Everyone's operating expenses and salaries depended on him. Thinking of this, the Fatui's gaze softened.
Who could refuse someone who brought them money?
"Ahem!" The Fatui cleared his throat and explained, "Your Lawrence Family's spirit of resistance moves us, and our goals are consistent. Both are to strike at, and even destroy, the Knights of Favonius. Therefore, providing you with some assistance is necessary and worthwhile."
Schubert nodded. Indeed, to some extent, their goals were consistent. Then he asked again, "I have one more question…"
"What? Why are you so troublesome?"
"Just one last one."
"Ask," the Fatui nodded helplessly. One last question, he might as well indulge him.
"Even if our Lawrence Family's strength greatly increases, compared to the Knights of Favonius, this power…"
"You don't need to worry about that!" The Fatui waved his hand and said, "Do you know why our prices were so high the previous times?"
Schubert lowered his head in thought. Indeed, the prices for the potions the previous times were ridiculously high. They had almost depleted half of the Lawrence Family's cash flow. Why was the price so low this time?
"That's because the previous times, the Lady Harbinger was testing you! Now you have proven your will to overthrow the Knights of Favonius with your determination."
The Fatui opposite Schubert patted his chest and continued, "Now the Lady Harbinger already considers you our allies. You should be secretly delighted to receive such an honor with just some external possessions."
"Really?" Schubert was a little excited after hearing this. If it was truly as this guy said, to be able to connect with a Harbinger just like this, then it was truly a stroke of luck!
"At that time, we Fatui will definitely back you up." The Fatui nodded. He just said it; whoever believed it was a fool.
"Hahaha! It seems that after a thousand years, the glory of Lawrence will eventually descend upon Mondstadt!" Schubert laughed heartily, looking up at the sky.
The image of the Knights of Favonius's flag being replaced by the Lawrence Family's emblem already appeared before his eyes!
Schubert was excited, the Fatui were happy, and Yu Jin, Kaeya, and Eula were all bewildered.
"Is this really the Fatui?" Yu Jin looked at Kaeya, then at Eula, "Is your uncle a bit… not right in the head?"
As he spoke, Yu Jin even tapped his own head, implying that Schubert's mind had issues.
"It… it should be the Fatui." Kaeya twitched the corner of his mouth, looking at Lei Chui and Anemo Boxer, who were flexing their muscles.
"My uncle is just swept away by the desire to restore the family; he's usually normal," Eula said, then recalled her uncle's usual behavior and suddenly felt a little guilty.
"Well, it seems he's not normal usually either." Eula looked at Schubert, who was still laughing loudly, and covered her forehead.
"Alright, let's make our move. This is a good opportunity to catch them red-handed," Kaeya observed the surroundings, and his heart immediately felt much calmer.
It seemed these guys were quite relaxed; they hadn't even left themselves a way out. Now, as long as they came out, they could directly catch them like a turtle in a jar.
With that, Kaeya drew his Sword and charged forward.
"Oh dear, it seems I must interrupt your pleasant business. This is hardly a suitable place for negotiations. How about you come with me to the Knights of Favonius?"
"It's spacious and bright there, and there's even free tea. No matter how long you talk, you won't have to worry about a dry throat." Kaeya performed a Sword flourish, the tip of his Sword pointing at the two people nearby.
"The Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius? How is this possible? How did you follow us?!" Schubert first retreated a few steps in panic, but then, remembering he had the Fatui backing him, he calmed down.
"Hmph, it seems some bugs have followed us." The Fatui opposite's expression darkened. Interrupting the Fatui's good deeds never ended well.
He glanced at the soldiers standing behind him. The latter understood, stepped forward confidently, and met Kaeya's gaze.
Kaeya scanned the area. There were quite a few people, two standard squads, a dozen or so. If he were alone, it would indeed be difficult to handle.
But he also had companions.
"Uncle, don't be so stubborn. Come back with me obediently and strive for leniency!" Eula, dragging a beautiful greatsword like a lyre, advised Schubert opposite her.
No matter what, Schubert was still her uncle. If possible, she didn't want to draw Swords against him.
"You… Eula! Get rid of that Cavalry Captain next to you, and I might still forgive your betrayal of the family." Schubert was greatly angered when he saw Eula was also there.
She was truly a disgrace to the family, actually helping outsiders!
"I'm here too!" A dark figure leaped forward from behind Eula, it was Yu Jin, making his grand entrance!
"Surrender now! You can't escape!" Yu Jin shouted loudly. Then he saw the Fatui opposite actually put down their weapons and raise their hands.
"We surrender!"
"???" × 4.
