On an open hillside, Yu Jin was huddled in a bush, just as he was when he first saw Dvalin at Windrise.
However, Dvalin was probably still crying in Stormterror's Lair and definitely couldn't make it. This time, it was the Fatui, who hadn't made a move in a long time.
In the wilderness, sneaky, evil organization… Yu Jin immediately felt a conspiracy's scent wash over him.
So, he naturally lay in wait, preparing to find an opportunity to thwart the Fatui's conspiracy!
"Hey, did you bring the stuff?"
"Don't question the Fatui's efficiency. Instead, did you bring enough of this?" As she spoke, the masked Fatui rubbed her fingers together.
"Hmph! What a joke. The Lawrence Family has been rooted in Mondstadt for a thousand years. We have as much of such vulgar things as we want!" Across from the Fatui was an arrogant, well-dressed man.
He lifted the box in his hand, seemingly displeased with the Fatui's questioning.
Even though this man was bossy, the Fatui opposite her didn't get angry. Most of Mondstadt's aristocrats were like this; as long as their goal could be achieved, they didn't care about such things.
"That's good. This isn't the place to talk. Come with me." The Fatui nodded in satisfaction, then turned to leave with Schubert Lawrence.
The latter also nodded. Discussing matters outdoors in the wilderness indeed damaged an aristocrat's dignity.
Yu Jin, in the distance, heard their conversation and immediately knew this was definitely a conspiracy between the Fatui and this Schubert Lawrence.
So, with the idea of nipping the conspiracy in the bud, a huge wooden club slowly extended from the bush.
It had brought many Fatui peaceful sleep, and he believed this time would be no exception.
Just as Yu Jin was about to spring out like a leopard, he suddenly noticed in his peripheral vision that two bushes were moving towards him.
Shock! Mondstadt's bushes had actually become spirits!
Unfortunately, that was impossible. Bushes couldn't become spirits and wouldn't move around.
"Quickly put away that big club of yours! We're about to be discovered!" A familiar voice came from the bush, startling Yu Jin.
"Kaeya, why are you here?" Yu Jin put away the huge club upon hearing this. Meeting Kaeya in the wilderness was a pleasant surprise.
Kaeya, like Diluc, was always elusive. He couldn't be found in Mondstadt City, but he was unexpectedly found here.
"You almost caused our stealth plan to fail. I'll remember this grudge!" From another bush, a woman's cold snort came.
"????" Yu Jin was a little confused, but he quickly identified the person from the voice.
"Oh—I remember now. You're the woman who made that lady eat dirt when she first arrived, right?"
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I've wanted to get to know you for a long time." A metal hand suddenly extended from the bush, accurately inserting itself into the bush where Eula was, and shook her hand.
"You..." Eula saw this scene and was immediately speechless. She had thought she was unique in Mondstadt, but she didn't expect Yu Jin to be even stranger than her.
As the captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company, Eula often roamed outside Mondstadt City, destroying monster nests.
Despite this, during her brief time in the city, she had heard that a new Great Adventurer had emerged in Mondstadt, whose behavior was unusual but who was also easy to get along with.
Seeing him today, he truly matched those rumors.
"Stop shaking hands! They're about to disappear!" Kaeya immediately reminded Yu Jin when he saw his hand, extended into Eula's bush, shaking non-stop.
"Got it. Let's follow!" Yu Jin immediately withdrew his hand and, with the bush, quickly followed behind the Fatui and Schubert.
Eula and Kaeya were stunned for a moment. They had initially planned to follow quietly, but seeing Yu Jin like this, they had to change their approach.
Thus, in the wilds of Mondstadt, two people walked in front, followed by three moving bushes behind them.
If anyone saw them, they would probably call it a strange sight.
Soon, the Fatui and Schubert in front arrived at a narrow crevice in the mountains. The two exchanged glances and walked in without looking back.
Seeing this, Yu Jin stood up. He stuck the bush next to the crevice entrance and said to Kaeya and Eula behind him, "Should we follow them in or launch a direct attack?"
As he spoke, Yu Jin even eagerly waved his fists.
"Don't act rashly." Kaeya and Eula were not as environmentally conscious as Yu Jin. They directly kicked away the bushes they had been in for a long time and stood up.
"I remember this place should be a ruined relic, intricate and complex. It wouldn't be good to tip them off," Kaeya added.
He looked at the crevice. The Fatui certainly knew how to pick a spot. Given the complexity of the passages within, even if they were discovered, they could still escape from some unknown nook or cranny.
"Furthermore, that person named Schubert is Eula's uncle, and he is very frail."
"Without confirming their crimes, a rash attack might harm him." Kaeya looked around and then said to Yu Jin.
"You're directly revealing my relationship with my uncle. Are you deliberately trying to embarrass me, Kaeya? I'll remember this grudge!" Eula glared at Kaeya, then walked in first.
"Let's go. If we don't go in now, their tracks might be hard to find." Kaeya shook his head. What difficult people.
As he spoke, he and Yu Jin followed closely behind Eula and entered the lost ruins.
Walking in from the somewhat cramped mountain crevice, the view suddenly opened up. Wide corridors, walls inscribed with unknown patterns, and dense architectural fragments all spoke of the place's long history.
When was this place built? Why was such a grand building erected in the mountains? These questions were probably long lost in the river of time.
However, Yu Jin and the others had no leisure to care about this. Their attention had already been drawn to the two people not far ahead.
Yu Jin looked ahead from behind a wooden box. Schubert and the others were walking incredibly slowly, as if on a stroll. Feeling a bit bored, he looked at Eula, who was concentrating intently beside him, and asked:
"By the way, why is your uncle colluding with the Fatui?"
"We are from the Lawrence Family." Eula simply said a few words and then said no more.
"What's wrong with the Lawrence Family?" Yu Jin asked curiously. What kind of family was this? He had never heard of it.
Eula looked at Yu Jin with some surprise, then said, "You don't even know the great name of Lawrence. I'll remember this grudge!"
"No, you hold so many grudges, can you even tell whose is whose?" Yu Jin complained when he saw her holding another grudge.
"They're all here." As she spoke, Eula even pulled out a notebook, filled with all the "grudges" she had recorded.
Besides minor grudges like "didn't sell her things" or "ignored her words," there were also things that couldn't even be considered grudges, such as "Sara left me food again" or "Amber invited me to eat again."
Yu Jin just took a glance and found that the small notebook was densely packed with these things. He looked at Eula. What a strange person.
"Don't look at me like that. You just need to know that the Lawrence Family brought great pain to Mondstadt; they are all Sinners." Eula saw Yu Jin staring at her and unnaturally turned her head away.
"Hmph, to make me talk about my family's sins myself, I'll remember this grudge!" She muttered as she spoke.
"You've made me remember three grudges in such a short time. I'll remember you!"
"Haha, if you can keep talking to her, three grudges are few. Eula means that you and she are friends." Kaeya, seeing Yu Jin's bewildered expression, explained with a smile.
Yu Jin suddenly understood, "So, she's a tsundere. Rare, rare."
As he spoke, Yu Jin carefully observed Eula. He had met tsunderes before; Ranni was a tsundere, so he was very familiar with it.
"Who... who's a tsundere!" As expected, Eula immediately denied it.
However, her expression quickly turned serious.
"Be careful, they've stopped."
