Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 If you continue, you will be charged

Connors was caught between two impossible choices.

On his left was Cindy, soft and ample. On his right was Harley, more compact but undeniably firm and elastic. Both were, in their own way, his favorite. If he were forced to choose just one, it would be a truly difficult decision.

Cindy Moon seemed determined to win. After a brief tug-of-war, she decisively stretched out her fingers to launch her spider silk. From her posture, it looked like she was about to tie Harley Quinn up.

But Harley Quinn was no pushover. She reached down, swiped a hand along her calf, and produced a serrated combat knife.

"Hey, sister," she said with a saccharine smile. "How about we each get half?"

After saying that, Harley gestured over Connors with the saw-toothed blade, but her eyes remained fixed on Cindy Moon. "Do you think it's better to saw vertically or horizontally? Gosh, it's so hard to choose… Or, how about I take the internal organs and you can have the body?"

According to a normal person's thinking, the correct response would be to wave one's hands repeatedly in a panic. But Cindy Moon actually started to look Connors up and down, genuinely considering the offer.

No, sister, don't take a joke seriously, please!

Connors was caught between the two women. The brilliant stage lights flashed above his head while the star singer in front of him sang and danced. He was finally beginning to regret why he had come to this concert at all.

Change the scene to a closed room, tie me up, and the next Saw movie can start filming, Connors thought jokingly.

His Spider-Sense could clearly detect that neither Harley nor Cindy had any real malice, so he was content to let them have their fun. But it was going to be even more difficult for him to escape now.

"No," Cindy said, her expression serious as she looked at Harley. "I have a feeling that I would be very sad if he died." It was the first full sentence Connors had heard from her since they'd met. Harley Quinn's voice was as crisp as spring water, and Cindy Moon's was like a warm spring breeze.

"Red, can I kill her?" Harley Quinn asked, still saying terrible things in a harmless, cheerful manner.

"You can't kill me," Cindy stated, confident.

"I can do anything for my Red," Harley shot back.

"Who is Red? …Oh, it's Connors Patterson. So can I. We all have spider-induction, and on a genetic level, I have an advantage over you," Cindy Moon was not to be outdone.

"I used my mouth."

"I've used it too."

Connors hadn't told Cindy his name, but in the comics, she was a highly intelligent genius. Living in the same city, he didn't feel his name could be hidden from her for long.

Seeing Harley Quinn and Cindy Moon going tit for tat, playing each other, Connors couldn't help but feel a little anticipation for where this was going. According to the plot of some comics, there was basically a charge later. But just as he was looking forward to their next development, an unprecedented sense of crisis enveloped him in his Spider-Sense.

Cindy Moon reacted faster than he did. Almost at the same time Connors sensed the danger, Cindy had already flown away—not to escape, but straight towards the ventilation ducts located throughout the closed concert stadium.

Airtight cobwebs after airtight cobwebs began to tightly seal the vents, but the number of vents in a stadium built for 10,000 people was in the thousands. At Cindy Moon's speed, it would take her almost half an hour to finish. But the danger had already been detected in his spider-induction, indicating that the crisis was approaching. It was too late.

Cindy Moon, too, quickly noticed that the progress of sealing the vents was too slow. She launched a strand of spider silk and swung back down to Connors.

"Connors, I can feel someone planning to drop poison gas here through the exhaust system, and the spider-sensor reminds me that this person is very dangerous!"

There were only a few people in Gotham City who loved to use poison gas.

"Any characteristics?" Connors asked. "Your spider-sensing should be able to sense what the other person looks like." He remembered how "Spider-Silk" had been in the comics.

"Wearing an ugly hood, with longer hands and feet than an ordinary person, driving a tanker…" Cindy Moon described.

"That's enough," Connors interrupted her, then glanced at Harley Quinn. "Scarecrow!"

"Damn it, I knew I should have kept him locked up in the first place!" Harley Quinn said with some frustration. When she had previously helped the Joker escape from Arkham Asylum, she had released all the prisoners, including Scarecrow, Penguin, Bane, etc.

"Unfortunately, I don't have Batman's contact information…" Connors was thinking differently from Harley at this time. An incident was about to happen right in front of him. This melon, Connors was destined to eat, but he had no intention of dealing with the Scarecrow himself. It would be nice to leave it to the superheroes to fight the criminals, but he wouldn't mind stalling for time until Batman could stop Scarecrow.

"The abilities I have now include intermediate mixed martial arts, spider-sensing, Green of All Things 1%, and Lockpicking Master."

"Among these abilities, in theory, spider-sensing can perfectly restrain them, but it is not 100% sure."

"Scarecrow came in a tanker? A full carload of 'Fear Gas'?"

The time for thinking was very short. Connors pondered for a moment, and then said to Cindy, "Cindy, you have to work hard to send me to the only road the Scarecrow can take to get here."

Cindy Moon nodded, launching spider silk from her fingertips, holding Connors in one hand and preparing to fly together.

Harley, next to them, was anxious. "Hey, what about me?"

One person does seem to be needed in my plan to grab the Scarecrow's attention… Connors nodded at Cindy, and then the three of them were tied together by spider silk and began to swing through the audience.

If Cindy Moon had been alone, she could have come and gone without a trace. But now there were three people hanging in the air, so conspicuous that the lighting crew at the concert, not knowing what to do, aimed their spotlights at them.

So wherever the three of them swung, the applause, whistles, and screams followed, making Shayna, who was originally singing well on the stage, look completely confused. Then, she quickly recognized Harley Quinn. Curious, a crystal-clear ice sculpture gradually formed in her appearance on stage, while Shayna herself quietly left and followed the trio.

A street away from the enclosed stadium, Connors was dropped by spider silk, with Harley Quinn at her side.

"Someone is following us…" Connors reminded.

Cindy Moon nodded, then leaned away, returning three minutes later with an extra woman tied up in spider's silk. She had a good face and a hot figure. Her hair was half black and half white, and her pupil color was the same. She was the star singer—Shayna—who was holding the concert.

Connors was stunned. "Why did you tie someone up?"

And it wasn't just that. The key was the way she was bound. Why did it look a bit familiar?
