Chapter 5 - Nobita's Jealousy

Just as Lin Feng and Shizuka found a topic and began chatting happily…

A gaze filled with a hint of jealousy came from behind, directed straight at Lin Feng, who was enjoying his conversation with Shizuka.

Without a doubt, the owner of that gaze was Nobi Nobita, who had been late on the first day of the new semester this morning.

Nobita had already been paying extra attention to Lin Feng because of his status as an international transfer student.

Later, when he saw how popular Lin Feng was with the classmates, especially the girls, Nobita's spirit of jealousy began to burn fiercely.

Why was it that when he, Nobita, entered the classroom, he would be met with merciless mockery from his classmates?

And this so-called international transfer student, just by casually chatting with the classmates, could gain everyone's favor? This seemed too unfair!

Actually, if it were just this, it wouldn't be so bad.

But what Nobi Nobita found most unacceptable was that Shizuka, whom he liked and cared about the most, actually shared her lunchbox with this new international transfer student!

Watching the two of them chatting and laughing, Nobita felt as if the whole world was abandoning him.

Even though if Nobita himself had forgotten to bring his lunch, Shizuka might have shared her lunch with him.

But Nobita would have felt that this was perfectly natural, because from the very beginning, Nobita had regarded Shizuka as his future bride.

So now, seeing Shizuka getting along so well with a strange international transfer student, the jealousy hidden in his heart was somewhat overflowing.

"Damn it... Why does this guy get so much attention the moment he arrives? He's just an international transfer student..."

Although he had already resented this suddenly appearing international transfer student in his heart, Nobita couldn't do anything now, and could only eat his lunch quietly, head down.

Lin Feng chewed the food in his lunchbox as if it were the detestable transfer student.

Perhaps even Lin Feng didn't know when he had inexplicably offended Nobi Nobita, that vinegar-loving guy.

Regardless of what Nobita thought, after a conversation with Shizuka, Lin Feng had a more detailed understanding of the world he had transmigrated into.

First of all, this was indeed the world of Doraemon.

Although he didn't know what the future held, since heaven had given Lin Feng another chance at life, he definitely intended to seize it and live well this time.

Besides, this was still the world of Doraemon. It might not seem like much now, but who knew if there would be exciting adventures waiting for them later?

Thinking about it this way, Lin Feng should prepare accordingly in advance.

Because there was a lunch break at noon, Lin Feng and Shizuka didn't talk for very long. After all, it was their first meeting, and they would have plenty of opportunities to get to know each other in the future.

There was no need to rush to say everything they wanted to say right away.

Of course, Lin Feng enjoyed chatting with a quiet and gentle girl like Shizuka. Shizuka was also very interested in some of the customs and culture of China.

The lunch break arrived. After the overhead fluorescent lights were turned off, the classroom, with its curtains drawn, became dim.

The students who had been chatting sparsely also became quiet of their own accord.

After all, schools in Japan had a tradition of a lunch break, which was to allow students to rest well and relax.

Only then could they listen more attentively in the afternoon.

After the morning's exchanges and absorbing a lot of information, Lin Feng did need a little rest. The half-hour lunch break could indeed relieve fatigue.

However, some people in the classroom couldn't fall asleep.

This naturally included Nobi Nobita, who was practically pickled in jealousy. Ever since he saw that the new transfer student, Lin Feng, had been assigned to sit next to Shizuka, he couldn't help but feel uneasy.

He spent the entire morning thinking about it, so he naturally didn't listen to any of the teacher's lectures.

"That's right! How could I have forgotten about Doraemon!"

Thinking about it, Nobita suddenly remembered that he had a strong backing waiting for him at home.

As long as he went back and acted pitifully, and begged Doraemon a little, he would definitely soften like he usually did, and then lend him some gadgets.

Then, with Doraemon's gadgets, just see how this new transfer student would show off in front of his classmates!

It has to be said that Nobita's habit of going to Doraemon to borrow gadgets for help had become a daily routine.

Got beaten up by Gian, go back and complain to Doraemon.

After being humiliated by Suneo, Nobi Nobita went back to Doraemon to complain.

When he went to Shizuka's house to play, he found out that Shizuka had gone to find Dekisugi, so he went back to Doraemon to complain again.

It has to be said that since Doraemon appeared in Nobi Nobita's life, it did bring about some changes.

However, at the same time, Nobi Nobita also developed a strong dependence on Doraemon.

No matter what he encountered outside, if he couldn't handle it himself, his first thought would be to go back to Doraemon for help.

Even Doraemon himself felt somewhat helpless about Nobi Nobita's tendency to rely on him, but he didn't have a good solution.

After all, Nobi Nobita had always been like this. If a scolding could change his bad habits, then he wouldn't be Nobi Nobita.

The lunch break passed quickly.

Lin Feng had just been resting his head on his desk for a bit, taking a short nap. He hadn't been asleep, though; he was actually thinking about his plans for the future.

Just as he sat up and was about to stretch, Lin Feng noticed Shizuka, who was also taking a midday nap at her desk.

As expected of the most beautiful girl in Doraemon, even when she was sleeping, her expression was incredibly cute.

Looking at Shizuka's slightly upturned lips, he figured she must be having a pleasant dream.

Lin Feng smiled briefly and then turned away, not wanting to stare. It wasn't polite to just stare at someone while they slept.
