Chapter 36 - Bad Luck, Plan Failed

"Oh? That's really unfortunate, Nobita. I just sent all the gadgets to be repaired. They probably won't be back for two days."

Doraemon spread his hands towards Nobita, making a helpless expression.

"Huh? How can this be... Then I'll just have to go buy them myself..."

After hearing Doraemon say that, Nobita knew there was no way to ask Doraemon for help with the gadgets anymore.

So, Nobita could only carry his shopping basket and return to the first floor, putting on his shoes again to go out and buy things.

Doraemon could only look at Nobita's back with an embarrassed smile, unable to help.

Of course, this news was also somewhat frustrating for Lin Feng.

In fact, from the moment Doraemon emerged from the Time Tunnel entrance in the desk drawer, Lin Feng had a subtle feeling that something was amiss.

Usually, Doraemon wouldn't use the Time Machine on his own without a good reason.

But something like sending a gadget for repairs, although it did appear several times in the original story, Lin Feng always felt that his luck shouldn't be that bad.

He'd finally managed to come and borrow a gadget from Doraemon, only to find that he had just sent it off for repairs.

That kind of luck was truly something else.

"Doraemon, it's the first time we've met, and I didn't bring much. I heard from Nobita that you like Dorayaki, so I bought some on the way here. I hope you like it."

With only Lin Feng and Doraemon left in the room, Lin Feng smiled slightly and took out the Dorayaki he had just bought, handing it to Doraemon.

No matter what, since he'd come to Doraemon's world, it was definitely the right move to get on good terms with Doraemon. Those magical gadgets of his might come in handy someday.

"Dorayaki! Wow! Lin Feng, you're the best!"

Seeing the Dorayaki, Doraemon's eyes practically turned into the delicious treats themselves. He already thought highly of Lin Feng, and now he felt even more certain he'd made a good friend.

Lin Feng smiled, watching Doraemon excitedly pick up a Dorayaki and savor it.

Sometimes, even though Doraemon seemed more mature than Nobita, he could still reveal a childish side, like he was doing now.

Doraemon's usual personality was quite gentle.

Because his original function was to look after children, he was a butler-type robot, and his personality included a tendency to be a busybody.

Even though he often advised Nobita to use gadgets cautiously, warning of potential negative consequences…

Lin Feng knew very well that Doraemon himself had made mistakes that had escalated situations on more than one occasion.

When Doraemon panicked, he would completely lose his mind and often pull out useless gadgets to set up a stall.

In some previous incidents, he even, at Nobita's suggestion, called the United Nations to offer his opinions.

His recklessness in certain aspects was no different from the clumsy Nobita.

And sometimes he wouldn't consider others' feelings, doing things that angered them, and he often scolded Nobita when he was useless.

However, Doraemon also had a romantic side. It was true that he often argued with Nobita, but the deep friendship between them was also real.

Because Lin Feng understood Doraemon's personality, he knew very well how to get along with him.

Since Doraemon's gadgets were all sent for repairs, Lin Feng's previous plan had to be scrapped. In the next few days, he could only rely on himself to work hard on the manuscript and draw the comic.

While Doraemon was eating Dorayaki, Lin Feng wasn't idle. He placed his schoolbag beside the bookshelf, then got up and began to wander around the room where his dreams began.

The thing he was most curious about was probably the entrance to the Time Machine, located in the drawer of the desk near the windowsill.

So Lin Feng went straight to the desk and opened the drawer.

However, the Time Tunnel he imagined didn't appear. There was nothing in the drawer except for some pencils and scrap paper.

It looked just like an ordinary desk drawer.

"Lin Feng, what are you doing over there?"

Doraemon, who was eating Dorayaki, was a bit curious about Lin Feng's actions, so he began to ask.

"Oh, nothing much, just a little curious."

Lin Feng closed the drawer casually with a slight smile, and said to Doraemon.

"Curious?"

"Oh... I see, Lin Feng, you want to see this, right?"

After hearing Lin Feng's answer, Doraemon was stunned for a moment before he understood.

Once he realized what was happening, he popped a Dorayaki into his mouth, walked over to the desk, casually pulled open a drawer, and said with a smile to Lin Feng.

As Doraemon spoke and moved, a unique light emanated from the drawer, attracting Lin Feng's attention.

He looked at Doraemon, then walked to the drawer and peered inside.

Unreal, ethereal.

That was Lin Feng's first impression of the Time Tunnel.

That's right, the ordinary drawer that Lin Feng had just pulled open had transformed into the entrance to a Time Tunnel.

Directly below the drawer's entrance, a Time Machine was parked. The surrounding tunnel resembled countless illusory clocks, emitting a peculiar light that made one's head spin slightly.

From the outside, this was a completely independent space.

"Lin Feng, is this Time Machine what you wanted to see?"

Doraemon saw Lin Feng gazing into the Time Tunnel with great interest and asked with a smile.

"Yeah."

Lin Feng nodded. There was no need to lie. Doraemon's presence here was also due to this Time Machine.

However, as a transmigrator from the modern world, he still found it somewhat unbelievable to witness this time-traveling device firsthand.

"So, Lin Feng, are there any specific eras you'd like to visit? Although I've sent my other gadgets for maintenance, the Time Machine is still operational."

Doraemon noticed Lin Feng's interest in the Time Machine and spoke to him with a smile.
