Chapter 120 - Still Treated as a Stepping Stone

Watching the Mafengka Pearl shoot upward as a streak of light and merge into the gathering Eye of the Storm, Lin Feng's brows tightened slightly.

The thing he least wanted to see… still happened.

But there was nothing he could do about it.

After all, the mastermind orchestrating everything behind the scenes was Dr. Storm from the twenty-second-century future—someone carrying tools even more advanced than Doraemon's.

And Lin Feng truly hadn't expected the other party to act this fast.

In less than half a day, they had already taken the Sealing Sword and the third Mafengka Pearl from Long'e Island, making Lin Feng's group rush there for nothing.

Not only that—they even managed to reach Tokyo within that short time, find Uranda, have him remove the seal on the Mafengka Pearl with a spell, and revive Mafengka.

Besides flawless planning and an exceptional mind, this was undoubtedly thanks to his futuristic gadgets.

That Dr. Storm from the twenty-second century must possess something like an Anywhere Door, a tool capable of crossing time and space. His versions might even be more convenient than Doraemon's.

For now, it was clearly too late to stop Uranda. The Mafengka Pearl, once unsealed by his spell and rising into the storm clouds, began radiating strange light.

At the same time, Fuko and Xiaohei—who were floating beside Lin Feng—seemed pulled by some mysterious calling. Their bodies paused mid-air, then began drifting unconsciously toward the center of the forming Eye of the Storm.

Seeing this, Lin Feng immediately grabbed them down and activated his Breath of the Sun with full strength.

Streams of pure solar energy surged through Lin Feng's body, eventually pouring into Fuko and Xiaohei, who absorbed all of it.

According to the original story, Fuko and Xiaohei were originally parts of the monster Mafengka, merely separated and sealed.

Now they had already developed independent thoughts and consciousness.

But once Mafengka was revived by Uranda's spell, they would be drawn back into its body again, fusing into it as part of the monster.

However, since Lin Feng already knew the plot development, he obviously wouldn't allow the same tragedy to repeat.

Pulled down by him, the dazed consciousness of Fuko and Xiaohei gradually cleared under the flood of pure solar energy.

The summoning from their original body also grew weaker and weaker.

"Haa…"

"Fortunately, that worked. You two okay?"

Lin Feng loosened the hands gripping them and gave a small smile.

Although the time they'd spent together wasn't long, Lin Feng had grown attached to them. Naturally, he didn't want to see them turned back into a mindless, destructive monster.

"Shu~! Shu~!"

Fuko, now fully awake, rubbed affectionately against Lin Feng to express both gratitude and reassurance.

Xiaohei didn't make a sound, but he did give Lin Feng a small nod—his version of acknowledgment.

No matter how cold or aloof he was, once he fused back into Mafengka, he would lose all sense of self and become nothing more than a creature of destruction.

Any being with even a bit of intelligence wouldn't want that future.

However, the storm wouldn't stop just because the two of them avoided being absorbed.

Instead, it intensified.

What had merely been a darkened sky now transformed into a full cyclone over the rear mountain—right under the Eye of the Storm.

Everyone's clothes snapped violently in the growing winds, and even keeping their eyes open became difficult.

"Hahahaha! Now I'll destroy everything here! And once that's done, the Lan Clan will rise again—hahahaha!"

Uranda's mission was complete. Laughing wildly, he stared at the sky where lightning storms were taking shape.

Soon, the wind monster Mafengka would be fully revived.

And this time, without their leader Noah of the Wind Tribe to stop it, no one could halt the Lan Clan's ambition to dominate the world.

The first step—was to drown this entire modern city in a massive flood and wipe modern civilization off the map!

Just as Uranda began imagining his future glory now that Mafengka's revival had succeeded—

A black, saucer-like craft rose slowly from the forest nearby.

"Oh, Uranda, not bad. You did well. Truly, you've worked hard."

"But now that things have reached this point… your mission ends here."

As the hatch of the black flying saucer opened, a figure familiar to Uranda stepped out.

And the words he spoke made Uranda narrow his eyes.

"Hm? Storm? What do you mean…?"

"Ugh—ahhh!"

Storm answered quickly.

He simply activated the switch on a high-tech container beside him, and a powerful suction burst out. Uranda couldn't even finish his sentence before he was instantly pulled in.

The whole thing looked eerily like someone holding a gourd up to Uranda and saying:

"Uranda, I call your name—do you dare answer?"

"Ah! That's… a Four-Dimensional Plastic Bottle!"

"And that saucer—that's a Time-Travel Machine!"

"So the barrier field around here was also one of your gadgets? Just who are you?!"

Seeing the advanced tools in use, Doraemon immediately realized the truth and shouted his question loudly.

"Hahaha, since things have come this far, I don't mind telling you. My name is Dr. Storm—an archaeological expert from the twenty-second century."

Standing in the hatch of the Time-Travel Machine, Storm flashed a wild, arrogant grin.

In his eyes, the plan to revive Mafengka using Uranda was already complete. No more variables existed.

So telling Doraemon and the others meant nothing.

After all—they were about to be destroyed along with the city.
