Chapter 28 - Chapter 0028: The Fall of the Nine Rotation Abyssal God Beast

Chapter 28: The Fall of the Nine Rotation Abyssal God Beast

The beast felt as though it had fallen into a quagmire—

a thick, muddy place where even its mighty claws could not find purchase.

The ground beneath it was strange, rippling with watery patterns. The ripples seemed soft and harmless on the surface, yet they radiated a deadly vibe, a suffocating aura that pressed against its very bloodline. A chilling, frigid wind surged forth, cutting across its colossal frame. The air grew so cold that the beast felt as if its very blood had frozen solid inside its veins.

Its body trembled.

For the first time in countless years, fear gripped its heart.

The beast was astonished.

It widened its scarlet eyes, trying to understand the changes unfolding in the space around it.

Above, the beast totem—the mark of its lineage—roared madly, releasing a sorrowful and indignant cry as though sensing the danger closing in on its descendant. The ground quaked beneath the beast's feet, but the true terror was not from below.

It was from what stood in front of it.

The beast looked forward and almost froze out of sheer disbelief.

Hovering above Wei Shiyan was a crystal-like wheel, gleaming with a divine luster. The wheel circled around the previous two rings that had already manifested before, and together, three mighty wheels now rotated in unison.

Their rotation created a force so chilling and so overwhelming that even the ancient beast could not suppress its instinctive terror.

The pressure spread like icy tides.

It was a force that seemed to dictate life itself.

Every turn of the wheels felt as though they could grant fortune, misfortune, or even extinguish existence entirely, depending on the wielder's will.

Wei Shiyan stood tall amidst this dreadful atmosphere.

His crystal-like hair flowed naturally with the wind, glimmering with a brilliance that made him look like a figure detached from the mortal realm. His posture was calm and composed, with his hands resting lightly behind his back.

His expression was serene, but in that serenity lay an arrogance and confidence that pierced deeper than any sword.

When he finally spoke, his voice was clear, calm, and resounding—

yet it carried a weight that pressed directly against the soul.

"You have your bloodline," Wei Shiyan declared.

"And I… have my soul."

His gaze was indifferent, his words absolute.

"Submit."

The command was not shouted, nor was it accompanied by any visible gesture of dominance. It was simply spoken. Yet it carried an authority that made even the heavens and earth tremble faintly.

The beast roared in defiance, its deep voice rolling like thunder across the domain.

It was a roar filled with indignation, fury, and disbelief.

This human… this mere human… was the very definition of impossibility!

Its bloodline origin—the foundation of its existence—was weakening, collapsing, failing it at the most crucial moment. It could no longer control the power that once belonged to it, all because its cultivation was not strong enough to resist the suppression.

Its pride screamed for rebellion, but its body screamed for surrender.

Wei Shiyan's eyes narrowed slightly.

He raised his right hand, and with a slow motion—yet paradoxically swift at the same time—he curled his fingers slightly. The motion was bizarre, simple yet containing endless profundities.

The world responded.

All the laws of heaven and earth within his domain stirred restlessly. They bent, twisted, and then enveloped the beast in an unbreakable embrace.

The giant creature felt suffocated. Its blood, its veins, even the watery fluids within its colossal body began rejecting its own existence.

The beast roared again, its cries echoing with fury, fear, and boundless indignation.

Yet Wei Shiyan's face remained completely still.

Expressionless.

Emotionless.

His lips moved slightly as he repeated, calm and commanding:

"Submit."

But the beast refused. Its roar shook the heavens. Its voice thundered with will:

"Stop your wishful thinking! I would rather die than submit!"

Wei Shiyan's face darkened slightly. His calm voice dropped to an icy tone:

"I am running out of patience."

The beast responded with an even more furious roar. Its voice vibrated through the space, shaking the already ruined place near and in the distance.

That roar was its answer.

Wei Shiyan's brows furrowed deeply.

His patience had reached its limit.

Interest drained from his eyes, leaving only cold indifference.

He exhaled slowly, then said flatly:

"As you wish."

The beast's eyes widened.

For the first time, a flicker of regret surfaced within them.

It had not expected that this human would truly kill it.

Not yet.

Not so soon.

Not without another chance to resist.

But Wei Shiyan's gaze was flat, his decision unwavering.

He clenched his fist.

The beast's massive body shuddered violently. Its flesh and bones cracked under the terrifying pressure. Its blood burst like rivers, its scales shattered, and in the next instant—

Everything tore apart.

Wei Shiyan stretched out his right hand again and slapped forward casually.

BOOOOOM!

The space trembled. The beast's mighty form disintegrated instantly, its colossal body reduced to mere ashes under the overwhelming strike.

For a moment, silence reigned.

Wei Shiyan lowered his hand slowly.

But before he could even react further—

His soul stirred.

It wasn't his choice. His soul moved of its own accord, surging like a vortex of infinite power. The immense pull drew in the beast's essence, siphoning away its blood essence and something far deeper.

Wei Shiyan froze.

That… that presence…

He could sense it clearly. He could not mistake it.

It was the soul of the beast.

The final fragment of its existence.

His mind shook violently.

His soul space trembled, and his consciousness was immediately pulled inward.

What he saw left him utterly baffled.

Inside his soul space, a ball of radiant light had appeared, enveloping a vague beastly shadow. The shadow slumbered within, curled up like a sleeping guardian.

The radiant light was not ordinary light. It pulsed with endless runic patterns, shifting like living scripture. The light seemed alive, covering the beast's shadow like an egg.

The shadow itself was still faint, but the longer Wei Shiyan watched, the more real it appeared.

The light wasn't just protecting it.

It was nourishing it.

Nourishing… the Nine Rotation Abyssal God Beast.

Wei Shiyan's breath caught in his throat.

His lips moved unconsciously, muttering aloud in shock:

"Is my soul… trying to reforge, rebirth, or reincarnate the Nine Rotation Abyssal God Beast?"

His brows furrowed deeply.

"But… I just killed it."

The contradiction twisted in his mind. The impossible was unfolding right before his eyes, and yet it was happening inside his own soul.

The light continued to pulse rhythmically. Each pulse resonated with the shadow, strengthening it little by little, as if guiding it toward a new existence.

Wei Shiyan stood still, dumbfounded.

At last, he muttered again, this time with a calm yet resolute voice:

"Well… whatever it is, my soul will not create something that will harm me."

His words lingered in the still air.

But deep within his soul space, the radiant light continued to glow brighter and brighter. The shadow of the beast shifted faintly, as though it was responding.

Wei Shiyan could not yet see what would emerge from that light.

But one thing was c

ertain—

the Nine Rotation Abyssal God Beast had not disappeared.

Its fall… was only the beginning.
