Chapter 29 - Chapter 0029: The Name WEI

Chapter 29: The Name WEI

Wei Shiyan slowly retracted his soul space.

The dazzling soul rings, the majestic wheels, the suffocating aura, and his entire overwhelming domain—all of them faded away. They disappeared as though reluctant to leave, vanishing into the unseen depths of his existence.

Now, suspended above the air, Wei Shiyan stood alone. His figure seemed ethereal, almost otherworldly, like a banished immortal descending into the mortal realm.

His crystal hair swayed gently in the silent wind. His robes fluttered, untouched by the destruction around him.

But when his eyes shifted downward, the scene before him was chaos.

Thinking and envisioning that if not for the previous hell zone that the heavenly dao creates this is truly what will happen to this zone

The land beneath him will be messy, devastated by the battle that had just occurred. Deep cracks will marred the earth, mountains lay torn, rivers reversed their flow, and the once-vibrant surroundings will now be stained with the lingering remnants of battle.

Wei Shiyan sighed softly.

He knew.

He always knew.

Whenever more than two of his soul rings manifested, a change would overtake him. His nature itself would shift, transforming him into something colder, harsher, and terrifyingly detached.

His emotions vanished, as though swallowed whole. Compassion, warmth, hesitation—they all slipped away. What remained was a man devoid of softness.

Cold.

Emotionless.

Heartless.

In that state, he no longer thought of right or wrong. He no longer cared for compassion or morality. All he wanted was dominion.

No disagreements.

No objections.

Only worship.

Absolute rule.

That was the price.

The terrifying side effect of his growing strength.

And yet… that very state made him sharper than anyone else. In those moments, every angle, every possibility, every threat and opportunity was clear to him. His focus became perfect, his will unshakable.

It was not what he wanted. Wei Shiyan did not wish to live as a heartless sovereign. Yet the world left him no choice.

For in this world—

strength reigned supreme.

And he had chosen his path.

…Meanwhile, in a far-flung part of the vast Galaxy.

A starry domain stretched endlessly, glittering with cosmic brilliance. At its center burned a vibrant star, majestic and colossal, its light pouring life into the surrounding expanse.

Upon this radiant star lay natural wonders beyond imagination. Mountains soared into the heavens, covered in verdant peaks. Rivers of celestial qi cascaded like waterfalls of divine light. The very air shimmered with abundance, thick with primordial vitality.

At the heart of this realm stood an ancient, immortal castle.

It was not merely a structure, but a sovereign presence. Its colossal walls gleamed with runic engravings. Rising above it was a massive tower, a pagoda that pierced through the void itself.

The pagoda's tip stretched so high, it seemed to connect to another cosmic plane.

Before the central palace gates of this immortalic castle, a woman appeared.

She was beautiful beyond description.

Her hair was white, crystal-like, shimmering under the radiant starlight. Her figure was valiant, her posture heroic, as though she were born to stand tall against the cosmos.

Her brow furrowed.

Her eyes, sharp yet indescribably beautiful, gazed at the massive gate before her. Impatience colored her perfect face, contrasting with the serene atmosphere of the realm.

A deadly aura suddenly surged from her body, overwhelming and oppressive, sweeping across the palace grounds. The contrast between her tranquil beauty and that dreadful aura was staggering.

Her voice rang out—calm, soothing, feminine—yet carrying a hidden blade within its softness.

"Are you coming out from this cultivation session now, or must I break this door and drag you out?"

The words were calm. The tone was soft.

But no supreme being in the entire Galaxy would dare take them lightly.

Because this woman was no ordinary figure.

She was feared.

She was dreaded.

She was known as a madwoman who hardly ever spoke, yet when she acted, blood stained the stars.

Her beauty could bring kings to their knees, but her wrath could extinguish worlds.

The gate remained closed.

Her displeasure grew. Her voice sharpened, no longer calm but filled with irritation.

"Are you truly not coming out?"

Her eyes narrowed dangerously, her aura swelling as she prepared to cause a scene.

At that moment—

A sigh.

Deep. Heavy. Resonant.

The massive palace gates creaked open.

From within emerged a man.

He was tall and broad-shouldered, his very presence bending the laws of heaven and earth. His black hair cascaded freely down his back, flowing like a cosmic river, shimmering with a brilliance that rivaled the stars.

His eyes were terrifying. Within them swirled endless secrets, so vast that no being could bear their weight. They carried a depth that seemed to contain all of creation, and yet a danger that threatened to destroy it.

He was a man drenched in contradictions—

a serene face that could inspire devotion,

yet an aura that reeked of peril.

The Galaxy knew him well.

And feared him well.

When provoked, he was merciless. Few wished to ever see his wrath. Those who had… paid with blood, and their names were etched in history only as cautionary tales.

But despite his frightening presence, there was one thing he could not hide.

When it came to his family—he would become a devil.

Cruel. Ruthless. Unforgiving.

No matter the price.

He stepped forward, the air trembling with each movement. His very existence resonated with the laws of the universe.

When his gaze fell upon the woman, however, all the danger in him faded.

His lips curved faintly. His voice, deep and steady, carried a softness that few would ever believe he possessed.

"What is it, Yan'er?"

The woman pouted, her beautiful lips trembling with suppressed emotion. Her hazel eyes, shimmering with crystal clarity, welled with tears.

"You don't seem to care about our son," she whispered, her voice thick with indignation, trembling between sobs and rage.

Her words cut like a blade. Her heart ached with suppressed grief, her tears threatening to fall.

The man's expression softened even further.

He stepped forward. With that step, the heavens resonated, the laws bent, and the air itself yielded to him. In an instant, he appeared before her.

His large hand reached out gently, patting her head with a tender affection unimaginable for someone of his fearsome reputation.

"Let's go," he said simply.

"Let us do as you wish."

The woman's trembling eased slightly, though her eyes still glistened with tears.

The two of them vanished.

A moment later, they reappeared.

They stood in a vast, boundless dark space. Violent ripples surged through the void, each wave carrying enough force to annihilate entire worlds.

The woman frowned, her impatience rising once again.

Her voice sharpened with displeasure:

"What are we doing here? They don't care about us."

Her eyes gleamed with defiance, her aura flaring restlessly.

The man, however, remained calm. His voice was steady, serene, unshakable.

"Father is coming out of seclusion."

He said nothing more.

Before them hovered an ancient world.

It was not like other worlds.

This one existed like a totem. It hung quietly within the void, ancient beyond imagination, yet radiating an aura so profound it seemed to be the pinnacle of existence itself.

A mysterious and overwhelming pressure emanated from it. The sheer force of its presence pressed against the dark space, as though the entire cosmos recognized it as supreme.

Above this vast world, thick mist gathered. The mist churned endlessly, shifting and twisting.

Then—

The mist condensed.

It formed into a colossal character.

One single word.

"WEI."

The name glowed across the heavens, towerin

g, magnificent, boundless.

The Galaxy itself trembled.

And Wei Shiyan's fate… was about to be rewritten.
