Chapter 4 - AMIR

'All aboard, All aboard' that was what Lisa first heard when she opened her eyes, her vision was still blurry and hazy but she could make out the vague figure of the sky, she was lying on warm hard wood and the smell of salt, specifically sea salt clouded her nose, immediately she grasped the state of her situation, she wasn't home in fact she wasn't at land anymore she was at sea and the shock quickly rejuvenated her senses.

'What? Where am i?' she said as she stood up, she was really at sea, no... the ship was no longer sailing it was on a bank of an unfamiliar place, somewhere that didn't look like home.

'What in the world?'

'Where am i?' she said as she looked around, searching for answers.

'Thought you would never wake up' said a voice behind her, she immediately turned around to see a little boy, he folded himself at a corner and Lisa noticed that his legs were shackled by heavy chains, Lisa felt a weight on her legs too and looked down to realise that her, herself was shackled too.

'What? What is this?' she said as she crotched to release herself from the shackles.

'It's no use' said the little boy again.

'How long was i out?' lisa asked, she had given up on the activity quite easily.

'Quite long, it's been three weeks, now we are in the foreign people land, they call it England' He replied, still folded so his voice was a little bit muffled.

'What?!' she yelled, but then she remembered the last memory of anything she had was when she went to close up the windows in her coven's shopping centre and she blacked out after inhaling a strange smoke. She then noticed that the ''All aboard'' she heard earlier was actually coming from another ship but not this one. She looked at the boy and began to wonder how he ended up there

'Hi, what's your name?' she asked the distressed boy.

'Amir'

'Where are you from?'

'I was brought from Pakistan, then to Egypt then here'

'Pakistan? Never heard of there before, how did you end up here?'

'My Dad owed a bunch of people so i was staked as a loan easer'

'I am sorry' she said and she noticed that the boy was tearing up and she too began to tear up, they both began to sob, hot tears streaming down her face and his, she crawled to his corner and cuddled him, the boy after a little while succumbed to her embrace. The boy looked up and gazed at her face

'Your eyes, it has a beautiful color'

'oh thank you....wait' she realised, her eyes had revert back to its original colour for a while now and if she didn't fix it, she would attract unwanted attention but when she tried to tap into a mystical wave and found nothing, she found out how non spiritual England truly was, it had no magic reserve so that meant that her powers were limited from 0-1 there was no opportunity to cast the simplest spells and this sent Lisa Into a frenzy, how will she be able to hide her eye colour now.

'Any problem?' asked Amir, as he interrupted her stream of thoughts.

'No, don't worry... come to think of it how did you learn the Egyptian language if you aren't one '

'Oh, i actually served a master as a slave in Egypt for five years, but he suddenly sold me out when he ran low on money ' he replied beaming, he was not folding anymore he had regained his confidence.

'Wow...you went through a lot' Lisa said, she looked around collectively taking in the state of environment, this part of the world was quite developed, she could sight the bricked roads and the bricked buildings not far from the sea bank, she could see the carriages, horses, the women on gowns and shawls some on less impressive clothing, it began to dawn on her that she needed freedom, she had to get out of here quickly. But just as she was about to muster a plan, her chain togged, three men that seemed to be her buyers came towards her

'Ah, yes this one would bring fine money to our business' said one of the men, but Lisa couldn't understand what they were saying, it was an entirely different language from what she knew, she turned to see Amir staring, crouching attentively to hear what they had to say

'Do you understand what they are saying?' she asked.

'Yes, it's English' he replied still crouching listening to the men

'You do? English? Well what are they saying?' Lisa asked, her eyes indicating her surprise.

'Seems like you will be taken to a brothel' he said indifferently, he seemed to be an entirely different person, he was no more that timid, perplexed boy Lisa had comforted moments ago.

'What?!Way to break a news Amir!!' she yelled, the men bowed and woofed at her, Lisa suspected that they were telling her to shut up and she did, Amir however didn't reply, he was simply listening. Lisa at that moment, began to miss Aurora a lot, she felt sad, but she inwardly decided to summon up courage, when the men cackled and left, Amir withdrew, his demeanour switching back to his shy, timid self, Lisa found this quite upsetting and most of all suspicious, was Amir a special powered human of some sort?.

''Is there anything you want to tell me?' Lisa asked

'Oh, yes we are going to be separated in a few moments from now, we have different buyers, so we won't get to see each other after today, apparently my buyer is some kind of priest or so and yours is a brothel manager' he said, timidly.

'Wow' Lisa said sadly, Amir held her hands grasping it tightly

'It was truly a blessing meeting you here, thank you' he said, Lisa grasped his hands tighter.

'I promise i will find you' she said as they both leaned on each other, shoulder to shoulder, seating on the warm wooden floor, shaded from the sun by the ship flag.

A balding fat man came up the ship, he had gold chains everywhere but his face, he wore a brown grown embroidered with silver thread designs, the three men from earlier walked up to him and shook his hand, they all laughed and began pointing at Lisa, all she could do was stare

'Good bye...wait you never told me your name'

'It's Lisa'

'Good bye Lisa'

'Good bye for now, Amir' it wasn't long before the men walked up to them, she immediately surrendered raising her hands up to be taken, she was helpless and powerless, she had nothing to do. A bag was put over her head, she lost her vision, she lost her freedom.
