Chapter 2 - Prologue

Dedication

To all the girls who mistook coincidence for fate and crowned him as their destiny — not every villain is gray in love; some are blackened by their own ego, and not all heroes wear golden crowns of white light.

Prologue

We met by chance. There was no fate, no destiny. I was the one who was mistaken. Or maybe I wasn't.

We met online. We fell in love. We broke apart.

It was a coincidence and nothing more—or so I thought.

Years later, we met again. And we recognized each other instantly, even after all that time.

I thought I had moved on. I swear I did. But that lasted only until that moment.

Even then, I didn't know if it was a by-chance meeting or if fate really wanted us together, or was it just a way towards my destiny?

What started as nothing—random messing around in a group chat—turned into late-night conversations that went on till the crack of dawn.

It became our everything. It felt like I had finally found my forever, but that forever lasted only for a short while.

Everything shattered into nothingness in the blink of an eye. I was left with nothing but betrayal and broken trust.

"I would never go down that path again," an unspoken promise I made to myself.

But some things make you want to give it a second chance, even though you know the pain it might bring. You just can't help it—you can't hold yourself back from giving in to that temptation, that fragile hope that maybe this time… the things you thought you deserved could finally become a reality.

But the sight of a person who is ready to bend even fate itself to get you is not always as dreamy as it seems.
