"What are club activities?"
"There are various clubs in the academy like the research clubs, adventure clubs, battle clubs and many more. You can join one of them or create one yourself. You'll need two more members to form one though." Aeron replied.
"Those who are in the clubs have to join for activities on these two days, and those who are not, well, holiday for you." Aeron said with a smirk.
"Then, we'll have to only attend the classes for three days a week?" Austin was a bit surprised. even universities in his old world had classes for five days a week. "Haha! Great then."
This was great news for him, since more free days he had, the more he could focus on his training and cultivation. Also, knowing most of the settings of this world, he could exploit them to level up as fast as possible.
Just then they arrived in front of the classroom door, with C written on the board above and stepped inside.
Rows of wooden desks filled the room, with the next row above a step from the first one. Most of the seats were taken. Austin recognized the uniforms instantly. They were all in black blazers with the academy crest. It was definitely auxiliary C class.
All the classes had different uniforms. They all had the same black trouser or skirt, along with the white linen shirt. But each class had different color blazers. The C class had black, the B class grey, A class blue and the S class had red.
Heads turned as the two of them entered. Some looked up from their books and some stopped amid their conversations. Whispering started when they saw Austin. Some sneered and started jeering at him.
Austin ignored all of them and moved to an empty seat on the last row. Aeron followed and sat beside him.
The buzz of conversation and whispering continued as some stole glances at Austin and laughed mockingly, discussing about him and the duel from the day before.
Just then the door opened again. the room fell into silence instantly.
A young woman, probably in her thirties, a little short in stature, long frizzy and curly hair, round glasses rested on her nose and wearing the black professor robe entered inside. she was holding a big stack of books in her arms and moved teetered trying to balance herself.
BAM!
She stomped the stack of books on the table hard. Finally relieved, letting out a deep sigh.
"H-Hello! I'm your eclipse beast a-anatomy professor, Anna Rathmay. Nice to meet you all." She said, quite nervous and shy.
Austin tried to recall if there was any character named Anna Rathmay, but nothing came to his mind. "She's teaching the C class. Definitely not a main character." Austin thought.
"Since today's the first class of the year, I'll just give all of you a brief introduction about the eclipse beast ranks and a few anatomical descriptions of the lower ranks ones." Just when she started the class, her nervousness and shyness vanished, her demeanor changed completely to that of an experienced professor.
Playing the game for more than five years, Austin knew everything about the beasts and their weaknesses. But still, he decided to listen carefully. The world in the game and this one, though are the same, may have some stark differences then what he knew.
"Let me start with the realms of the eclipse beast." Anna started explaining.
"There are six classes or so as to say realms of eclipse beast that have shown themselves. The first class are called the Warped. They are four legged and smaller in size, about the same as a wolf. They are weakest ones and also the most abundant."
"Their weakness are their necks. One hit and they die. The second class are the Scourge. They are a bit bigger in size, about the same as a tiger or lion. Their weakness is the same. The neck. You cut it off and they die immediately."
"The third are the Shadowhearts. They are squad captains. They always lead a small team. They grow as big as twelve feet in height. This is where it becomes tough for young aura fighter and mages like you all to deal with it."
"Many final year students have lost their lives fighting this beast in the past. Unless you're in the fourth realm of Aura, don't even dream of facing it." She said in a grave tone.
Austin knew that she was not trying to scare the students. Shadowhearts were the first mini boss in the dungeons. Many used to get stuck and were unable to progress. Being level 40 was the basic requirement to even have a fighting chance.
Eclipse chronicles used to be infamous for its difficulty. It had destroyed the careers of many streamers who couldn't even survive a year playing it. It gradually lost more and more players and went down in popularity. Austin was the only one who survived and played for five years.
"And as the name suggests, their weakness is their heart. Next are the Styngian. They are like our military major ranks. They are very fierce and cunning and often lead operations for the eclipse beasts. Like the shadowhearts, their weakness is also the heart."
"The fifth class are the Gloomweavers. This is where they start taking human shape. Though deformed, they stand on two legs and each has different shapes and characteristics. No known weakness till now. they are classified among the most dangerous and those below the sixth realm are prohibited from engaging with it."
"If you ever come across one of them, don't act brave and just run." She said sternly.
"So this is their limit. I guess it's understandable. It means I have an advantage here then." The corners of Austin's lips lifted into a wide smirk.
