Lucas breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he had just been saved.
''Thank you.'' He breathed out, giving Samantha an appreciative smile.
Samantha gave a curt nod.
The sound of horn's blaring made all the inmates jump to their feet.
Lucas who was still seated immediately stood up, his eyes darting around in confusion.
''What is going on?'' He asked, staring at Samantha with a raised brow.
''You'll see.'' Samantha breathed out, his eyes rooted to the door.
The sound of keys clanging was the next thing Lucas heard.
Then the door creaking open.
He took a step forward in curiosity but Samantha held him back.
''Not yet.'' He muttered, making Lucas's brow furrow.
Then he heard it, another horn blaring.
Before he could say another word, he saw his other roommates shove past him and run out of the room.
The sound of shoes drumming against the floor was the only thing that reverbarated around the place.
