Chapter 112Lily's POV
"Ahh! Shit!".
The scream ripped out of me as my hands slipped on the stone ledge. My stomach lurched, the world tilting into black sky and torchlight. I clawed at the air, desperate to catch something….anything…but there was nothing to hold.
And then I was falling.
The rush of air tore at my ears, my throat, my chest.
No, no, no!
The ground slammed into me with a bone-shaking thud. My body jolted, pain exploding through my ribs, my hip, my ankle. Shockwaves pulsed through every nerve, leaving me stunned, eyes wide open against the dirt.
For a second, I couldn't breathe. Couldn't move. Just pain. Hot and blinding.
But then…
What was that sound?!" I heard Jane's shriek through the chaos.
Ivan's voice boomed. "Break the door down! Now!"
Another crash shook the walls as wood splintered. And I was still on the floor, pain filling every part of me.
