With the declaration successful, a copy of Obelisk promptly appeared within Yinjian Xiaobiao's Deck.
Outside of the DM world, Duelists across the other worlds all shivered.

Yinjian Xiaobiao's Deck actually does run Obelisk.
With the declaration successful and a copy taken from the Deck, the choice of the two effects fell to Yinjian Xiaobiao.
Naturally, Yinjian Xiaobiao chose the first effect.
In other words, Obelisk the Tormentor was added to his opponent's hand.
Choosing to ignore the Summoning conditions and Special Summon Obelisk would hurt far too much.
No one in their right mind would pick the second effect.
In the clip, BlueEyesWhiteDragon immediately smiled, as if he had long predicted Yinjian Xiaobiao would pick the first effect.
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "I activate this Spell!"
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "[Soul Crossing]!"
"As long as it's a Tribute Summon for a Divine-Beast, I can use the monsters on your field as Tributes instead."
"As the cost, after this card resolves and until the end of the next turn, I can only activate 1 card or effect for the rest of this turn, except Divine-Beast monster effects."

The Dark Magician player's three monsters on the field became a dowry gifted to BlueEyesWhiteDragon.
If it were them in that spot, they'd be spitting blood already.
Never mind summoning a God — even any other monster would make this unbearably painful.
This is bad.
Disastrously bad.
In the clip, however, Yinjian Xiaobiao didn't care at all that his monsters had been devoured as Tributes by a God.
What he noticed was that Avramax's floating effect didn't activate.
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Why didn't my Avramax—?"
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Why didn't its floating effect activate?"
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "You must understand. This isn't just a monster. It's a Divine card — a noble God."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "It has powerful suppression — upon a successful Summon, neither player can activate cards or effects."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Alright, direct attack. This ends now."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Heh heh heh, Sore wa dō kana!"
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "I activate the effect of [Spiritual Swords of Revealing Light] in the Graveyard."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "During the opponent's turn, I can banish this card to activate it. This turn, your monsters cannot attack directly."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Heh heh heh, a dying struggle."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Main Phase 2, I Set 1 card."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Turn end."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "In your End Phase, I flip my Continuous Trap, [Eternal Soul]!"
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Come forth, Dark Magician!"
"At the same time, Magician's Rod in the Graveyard triggers. I Tribute Dark Magician to add Rod back to my hand."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Muda muda muda!"
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "I activate the Quick-Play Spell, [Called by the Grave]!"
"I choose your Magician's Rod to banish."
"Monsters banished by this effect, and any monsters with the same original card name, have their effects negated."
Under the pressure of Obelisk the Tormentor, the back-and-forth interruptions pushed Yinjian Xiaobiao deeper into disadvantage.
Duelists in all worlds couldn't help but secretly sweat for him.
But those who had meticulously tracked every card sent to the Graveyard did not believe the advantage would remain with BlueEyesWhiteDragon after this turn.

Superconductive Wave Thunder Cannon — fire.
In the double detonation, Slifer and Obelisk both hit 6000 ATK.
In that explosive instant, both Divine cards were sent to the Graveyard.
Meanwhile, by [Clashing Souls], since both Duelists' monsters were destroyed in that battle, all cards on their respective fields were sent to the Graveyard.
Both fields were wiped clean.
BlueEyesWhiteDragon's Life Points were left at 1000.

He had thought he could deal a lethal blow.
He hadn't expected his opponent to have such deep pockets.
Even the Set card turned out to be something you don't see every day.

Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Turn end."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "My turn."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Draw one."
"Given the situation, I have no choice but to wield the Whip of Defeat."

"I Tribute the [Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon] in my hand."

"Bring forth the chaos ritual that heralds defeat!"

Yinjian Xiaobiao: "I flip my Trap, a second [Eternal Soul]!"
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "I revive Dark Magician from the Graveyard!"

Many Duelists blinked when they saw Yinjian Xiaobiao do that.
Ruling out misplay, there was only one possibility.
His back row is incredibly hard.

Once the attack came, a back-row card might end the Blue-Eyes player on the spot.
It was obviously a trap.

BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "My [Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon] cannot be destroyed by card effects."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Oh? Sore wa dō kana?"
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "As if I wouldn't know that."
"I flip my third Trap."
"[Destined Rivals]!"
"As long as there's a Blue-Eyes White Dragon or a Dark Magician on the field, I negate the effects of all monsters on your field until the end of the turn."
"Be destroyed, [Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon]!"
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "In that case—"
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "I can activate [Deep-Eyes White Dragon] in my hand — souls crossing from endless time."
"Let its trembling wings descend as a Special Summon."
"I activate this card's effect on Special Summon."
"[Deep-Eyes White Dragon]!"
"On Special Summon, you take damage — 600 for each different Dragon monster name in my Graveyard."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "Is that so? I chain a Trap in the Graveyard."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "I pay half my Life Points. [Transaction Rollback] — activate!"
"I copy my Graveyard [Holy Life Barrier]!"
"I discard 1 card. For the rest of this turn, all damage I would take from your effects becomes 0, and my monsters cannot be destroyed by battle."
"Your damage is negated."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "I continue with [Deep-Eyes White Dragon]'s effect. I target Chaos MAX in the Graveyard."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "Its ATK becomes 4000."
"I activate the Spell Card, [Stamping Destruction]!"
"I destroy your Eternal Soul and inflict 500 damage."
"Due to Eternal Soul's effect, I destroy your Dark Magician."
"My turn ends."
Dumbfounded.
After seeing that back-and-forth standoff, Duelists in every world were left dumbfounded.
The advantage swung back and forth as the two Duelists kept interacting.
You'd think summoning Chaos MAX had sealed it.
Unaffected by targeting and can't be destroyed by opponent's card effects.
Surely it could break through somehow.
Who knew — the Dark Magician side's three Set cards slugged Blue-Eyes right back.
Just when you thought the Blue-Eyes player had no way to strike back, the "bride" in hand brought hope surging again.
Both sides were digging deep into their Decks with abandon.
Especially the Blue-Eyes player.
Even Seto Kaiba in the DM world could barely keep a straight face watching move after move more "Kaiba" than Kaiba himself.
Other Duelists couldn't help but ask themselves who the real Seto Kaiba was here.
Could the opponent be a Kaiba from a parallel world?

BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "But if you destroy this card, I'll activate the 'bride's' effect."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "If this face-up card is destroyed by an effect, destroy all monsters your opponent controls."
"Your Gandora goes to the Graveyard too."
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "In that case, I activate the effect of [The Revived Sky God] in my Graveyard!"
Yinjian Xiaobiao: "I place [Monster Reborn] from my Deck on top of my Deck."
"Then I draw 1 card and add Monster Reborn to my hand."
"My turn isn't over."
"I activate Monster Reborn."
"Your Blue-Eyes White Dragon — revived to my field."
"I attack directly."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "I activate the effect of [Battle Fader] in my hand."
BlueEyesWhiteDragon: "It Special Summons itself in Defense Position, and this Battle Phase ends."
Magnificent.
Absolutely magnificent.
Yet another round of back-and-forth counters.
The appearance of Gandora was something no Duelist saw coming.
And it was precisely Gandora's entrance that set every Duelist's blood on fire.
Their whole bodies burned with the will to Duel.
This was nothing like the Tearlaments matchups.
But the sheer interactivity was even more exhilarating.
This is the charm of classical Yu-Gi-Oh.
DM world.
Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba exchanged looks.
If not for being told this was footage from a higher world, they might have thought they were the ones Dueling.
The mutual annihilation of Slifer and Obelisk.
The Ritual Chaos MAX and the "bride."
Gandora and Magical Contract Door.
"It's over. I really thought it was Yugi and Kaiba."
"Same. Those plays were exactly what Yugi and Kaiba would do."
"Too bad it isn't. But at this point neither side has gotten a decisive edge."
"Phew, I honestly don't know who's going to win."
Around them, the voices of Joey Wheeler, Téa Gardner, and Mai Valentine grew louder.
They were all the more curious about the final formula for victory.
