Nathan was surprisingly good at cooking as he roasted the meat with such ability that he could be in the Master chef.
"Hey, come eat!"
Nathan shouted to inform Mai to eat who had been sleeping soundly.
"Why were you sleeping in this time of day?"
"I felt so sleepy."
Mai replied lazily as she started snoring while standing.
The place that they lived was quite nice even in the apocalypse. Green hills everywhere , a shallow stream of water crossing through the hills. Birds circling the siblings and leaf cutters moving in line.
The siblings themselves lived in houses made up of logs and vines. They had a campfire between the two tents.
"Where are you going?"
Mai worryingly asked Nathan as he was mounting a spear on his back.
"Going to scout the area for danger."
Nathan said seriously without turning his back.
Nathan started to to climb the hill with uneasy and lack of courage as if something had been holding him back. He remembered the last night's dream and a cold sweat ran through his face. He acted all right in front of Mai but it had been bugging him very much.
why did I have the dream? He thought about it for a quite some time before reaching the top of the hill. The weather was very harsh that day. Nathan covered his face with his hand to resist.
Strange bird-like creatures circled the sky as if claiming the sky. Their eyes fixed at Nathan as if they were challenging their dominance.
Nathan looked over the horizon and his eyes contracted as a cold sweat ran down his face. His hands trembled as he instinctively dropped down.
'Oh, this is not fucking good!"
Hundreds of humanoid like creatures that were dark as the night itself were swarming towards toward the north that meant the horde was also going their way.
They were moving at a very great speed as they crossed hills in matter of minutes.
Nathan hurried down the mountain with great speed that exceeded human capabilities. As he was closer to the base of the hill he saw Mai sleeping like a soundless fool.
"WAKE UP!!!"
