"WAKE UP DUMBASS!!"
Nathan's voice rings out in the distance as he hurries down the path.
The girl 's voice gasps out of her mouth as she wakes up hurriedly.
"W-what happene.."
Before she could say anything Nathan grabs her by her arm and runs in the opposite direction.
The black humanoid figures were closing in at a great speed erasing everything in their path. A low humming sound is heard when they awre getting closer.
The siblings run as fast as they could not caring about whatever they passed. Mai's desperate cries for a breath is getting louder second by second. Her eyesight getting narrower as she struggles to run any more.
Don't give up on me legs
She thinks while running even slower. The path seemed stretched even further as they grew nearer.
"Can you run?" Nathan asks worryingly as he looks at her with pity.
"Y-yeah.. I can run."
She replies with low energy as her face is red. She pushes on not wanting to give up.
The horde of the creatures were starting to catch up even more. Their low humming grewing nearer by the second.
Nathan looks back behind his shoulder and a cold sweat runs down his face. The horde of the creatures were very close to them and in a few seconds they could be eaten and forgotten in the void.
Nathan looked to his side and saw a small cave opening. He seized the moment and throws himself and his sister across the cave.
The horde went on destroying everything in their path never noticing them.
Low breathing sounds came out of both of them as they sat down in the mouth of the opening.
"That was pretty close."
Mai sighed as she pressed down her face to her knees.
Nathan leaned back against the wall as he closed his eyes.

In a grass field filled with wheat moved methodically with the wind, a small boy ran through the field giggling as he looked back.
A man in his forty's smiled joyfully as he chased down the boy through the field playing with each other. After some time they went inside the hut and the man sat on the floor.
'Here's your lunch.' the man said putting a can infront of the boy.
'Thank you for the food!'
The boy said crossing both hands in a namaste pose.
'Nate listen to me' The man said seriously with a cold expression.
'Yes father.' the boy said while eating his lunch.
'When I'm gone... You have to take care of your little sister'
After a long pause he added
'You will protect her understand?'
'Yes father!' the boy says with passion.
'You are a good boy Nate.'
Suddenly the voice of a girl rings out in the background as Nathan wakes up frantically as he looks to Mai's direction.
"You fell asleep for some time so I thought you were dead." Mai said with worry.
"Sorry I dozed off."
As Nathan recollected his thought process he spotted a small bright lighting the distance.
"What is that?"
