Chapter 4: Spirit Awakening Ceremony.
Su Yuntao had become accustomed to the increasingly chaotic scene before him. After using his spirit power to quiet the children, he spoke in a comforting voice.
"Children, I've told you not to be afraid. This is my spirit, Lone Wolf. If any of you become a spirit master in the future, you will also use this ability."
With this, Su Yuntao swiftly clapped his hands, and six faint green lights were injected into the six black stones on the ground. Suddenly, a golden glow emanated from the six stones, forming a pale golden shield that enveloped the boy who had been the first.
Points of golden light drifted out from the black stones on the ground and entered the boy's body. Then, the six black stones also surrounded the boy.
The boy's body began to tremble slightly, and he wanted to scream but couldn't.
"Stretch out your right hand," Su Yuntao's dark green eyes fixed on the boy, commanding with authority.
The boy instinctively extended his right hand.
Suddenly, all the points of light burst forth, and within a split second, the lion spirit possessed him.
Su Yuntao took a deep breath and thought to himself, "It appears to be the beast spirit of a lion. I believe this child has the talent to become a spirit master."
The golden light gradually faded, and the boy looked at his own transformation in surprise, somewhat bewildered and even frightened.
"Master..." The boy looked at his spirit timidly, his voice trembling.
Su Yuntao frowned slightly and said, "This is because your spirit is a lion. You shouldn't be afraid of it. Later, let me test your spirit power. However, in my opinion, you should be able to awaken your innate spirit power, as your spirit is the beast spirit of 'lion' after all."
"Then Master Su Yuntao, what should I do?" the boy asked, finally mustering some courage.
Su Yuntao said calmly, "Use your mind to retract your spirit. Whenever you need to use it again, do so with your mind. Then, let's test your innate spirit power."
He then held out a transparent crystal ball to the boy, instructing him to place his right hand on it after retrieving his spirit.
However, the boy tried for a long time, until even Su Yuntao grew impatient.
Finally, he successfully retracted the lion spirit into his body. Then, tremblingly, the boy raised his right hand and placed it on the crystal ball in front of him.
A moment later, a soft, pale blue light appeared on the previously dark crystal ball.
Seeing the test results on the boy's crystal ball, Su Yuntao smiled faintly and said, "Martial Spirit Lion, Innate Spirit Power Level Four."
Then, looking down at the boy, he said, "Not bad, kid. You actually have Innate Spirit Power Level Four, two levels higher than I had back then. Wait over there for a moment, I'll register you both later."
Then, Su Yuntao looked up and continued, "Next..."
Various scenes unfolded one after another. Nearly ten children's Martial Spirits awakened. Some of their Martial Spirits were average, some were inferior, and one or two were even useless. Furthermore, no more than three of them were able to awaken their Spirit Power. The others' Spirit Power was also judged by Su Yuntao as "none."
However, so far, even among those who had awakened their Spirit Power, none had achieved a higher Innate Spirit Power than the boy who first awakened the Lion Spirit.
As time passed, it was soon Xuan Mo's turn to awaken his Martial Spirit. But now, his heart was even heavier than before. It felt like the impending college entrance exam results in his previous life.
Just as Xuan Mo was feeling the agonizing pain, he suddenly noticed the calves of the boy in front of him were trembling.
Seeing this, Xuan Mo sighed softly. He understood the boy's feelings perfectly. He felt the same way.
Then, Xuan Mo quietly placed a hand on the boy's shoulder and patted him. "It's okay. Relax. Trust yourself. Don't be nervous."
At first, the boy was startled by Xuan Mo's gesture, but then he realized he was trying to comfort and encourage him.
The boy slowly turned around, smiled shyly at Xuan Mo, and said, "Thank you, I'm just a little scared."
Xuan Mo smiled wryly and shook his head silently. His words, besides being meant for the boy, were also meant to comfort himself.
Soon, Xuan Mo and the boy in front of him were the only ones left with awakened spirits. Of the thirty people who had arrived, only five remained in the hall.
As for the others, their martial spirits had all awakened, including the wooden barrel, silver needle, and blue silver grass. It could be said that they had all awakened. However, not a single one of them possessed even half a level of soul power.
So, aside from those who had awakened soul power and those who hadn't yet, the rest of the children had already been eliminated.
"Next."
It was clearly the boy in front of Xuan Mo's eyes, but he was still a little apprehensive and hesitated to step forward.
Xuan Mo couldn't help but sigh, "Then let me go first! You stay last, keep going."
With that, Xuan Mo stepped over him, under the boy's grateful gaze, and bravely took a large step forward, standing in the center of the awakening formation in front of Su Yuntao.
Meanwhile, Su Yuntao was exhausted. After all, awakening the martial spirits of approximately thirty children had taken a tremendous toll on his own soul power.
Even during the awakening process, Su Yuntao had stopped to recover his soul power four times, and now he was almost exhausted.
However, when he saw that there were only two children left, he was ready to help both of them complete the awakening process.
As Su Yuntao injected six soul powers, a pale golden light lit up, and the six black stones continued to rotate around Xuan Mo under the blessing of the soul power.
Suddenly, Xuan Mo, with his eyes closed, felt that he was in a warm world. The warm breath slowly seeped into his body, and then gathered into a warm current that flowed through his limbs and internal organs. He felt an indescribable comfort.
"Okay, little guy, close your eyes, concentrate and carefully feel where your martial soul is. Don't be distracted."
Then, under the influence of this warm breath, Xuan Mo realized that a shackle in his soul seemed to be broken, and all the warm breath quickly gathered towards his forehead.
