Chapter 11 - Ch-11 Like a True Uchiha

The metallic tang of smell spread in the air. The heat prickled from the explosions happening all around him.

Kyojiro couldn't help but clash with both the Chunin at full pace, 'My full pace without Fire-breathing.'Unlike how he had thought he would have to go all out.Which, if he went, he could kill them both just from his sheer speed.

SWOOSH

Displacing the kunai once more, he immediately slashed at the other Chunin. His sword pulsed with strength and purpose.Kyojiro had one very simple plan, 'I don't need to let them get far—keep the battle as close as possible.'

Every time one tried to make distance, Kyojiro moved with a little bit of speed—immediately cutting their flow.

The Chunin facing him couldn't help but be on the defensive.Kyojiro had just improved too much in recent times. The memories of Rengoku Kyojuro had transformed his swordsmanship beyond his imagination.

'The man fought against demons twice his speed. His skill in the sword was so great—he could deduce attacking trajectories before they happened.' Kyojiro's Sharingan sharpened, and he jabbed at the Chunin opposing him.

From the corner of his eyes, he could see Kakashi finishing his battle. Kyojiro sighed, 'I too need to finish this... but how?'

He looked at his opponents. Vests accompanied their figures, their eyes sharp and cautious, no longer considering him an easy opponent.

Their faces were tanned, muscles outlining their arms.Kyojiro's jaw tightened, 'I don't need to show my swordsmanship... but I can use my Jutsu.'

SWOOSH

'Uchiha swordsmanship.' His sword slashed through the air, the blade immediately falling on the kunai.

TING

His Sharingan revolved dangerously. He rushed in, immediately delivering a knee strike to the unsuspecting Chunin.

The other ninja shouted, his kunai rushing toward Kyojiro.

'Bad technique.' His sword immediately slashed at the kunai, breaking off the man's flow.

'Full concentration breathing.' He took in a huge gulp of air, his muscles strengthening within a second.

Grabbing him by the hair, Kyojiro moved his elbow, the sharp, pointy bone clashing directly into his face.

BOOM

His face broke upon impact, the hard bone fragmenting under Kyojiro's elbow.

Kyojiro couldn't help but wince for the man as he made his nose non-existent.

.

.

.

The Chunin felt pain unlike any before. Somebody had just kneed him directly in the chest, pushing all the air from his body.

He coughed and panted, waiting for a strike that never came. Shivers ran down his back as he saw the man smashing apart his teammate's face.

CRUNCH

He winced, his arm trembling as he witnessed the nightmarish scene. A simple realization echoed in his brain: 'Were he facing us alone—we would long be dead. Is that the difference in our close-range technique?'

His stomach sank, his legs shook from fear. But Iwa had told him one thing:'Shinobi have to stand tall—like a rock, against any adversity.'

The will of rock coursed through his body. Despite his fear, he moved, immediately slashing at the man, 'I can't let him continue—the moment only one of us is left, we are dead.'

SWOOSH

Kyojiro's back trembled, his eyes darted only to find the other Chunin almost reaching him. His legs moved without hesitation, backing away in a single second.

The Chunin with the broken nose let out a wail of pain, his face covered in his own blood as he raged at Kyojiro.

Both immediately distanced themselves, their hands blurring through hand signs.

.

.

.

Kyojiro's eyes widened at the sudden turn of events, 'I am still too immature... I shouldn't have let them make distance.'He berated himself.

'Full concentration breathing.' Vitality filled him like an empty tank. His hands blurred through familiar signs.

'Fire Style: Fireball no Jutsu.'

Heat coalesced around his throat, his muscles tightening as he expelled the ball of fire.

WHOOSH

Meanwhile, both Chunin finished their jutsu—the ultimate Explosion Release, meant for large-scale combat.

Despite their defeat in close-range combat, both had their hearts steady.

'We are ninjutsu specialists... let's see what puny jutsu you can cough up against our explosion.' they thought, hope coursing through their veins.

Their hearts stung from the crushing defeat they had just faced, yet the Chunin smirked, 'You made a big mistake letting us create distance.'

They immediately expelled a huge ball of earth. Just a single one was the size of a car. Their chakra plummeted down like a leaking pond.

The ball of earth rumbled as it moved through the air—its cracks showing orange energy coursing through it.

The air trembled in anticipation.

Their excitement rose, 'Nobody—nobody can tank this... and definitely not a close-range expert like you.'

Yet...

Their eyes widened as their opponent let out his jutsu.

Their stomachs dropped, despair and disbelief clung all over their faces, 'What—what is that thing?'

Their skin prickled just from the heat of that ball of fire.

They couldn't help but brace themselves at the last second.

The huge ball of fire met the twin balls of explosion in the middle... and as if a chemical experiment had just been released, they clashed with one another—competing for dominance.

All the shinobi occupying the battlefield turned their eyes to the jutsu clash.

Kakashi ran as fast as he could away from the battlefield. Obito and Rin, despite their distance, hid behind a tree.Minato teleported without a single hesitation.

BOOM

A huge explosion rocketed the area, the heat multiplying and spreading in all directions. Kyojiro used his breathing technique with the Body Flicker jutsu, rushing out of the area in a second.

The other two Chunin, however, were unlucky. Their legs gave up as the explosion reached them in a second.

The heat first burned through their skin, before melting their muscles. Their bones burned and charred, flung through the air—their bodies turning into puddles.

Shinobi had skills, but ultimately—they were fragile.

After all, there was a risk to every jutsu.

And the Risk to their Jutsu was Kyojiro Uchiha himself.
