Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

On our way, I looked at the review mirror and saw that she was sitting cross legged staring at me.

She couldn't tell that I can could her, so I let her be.

Her behavior is intriguing but I won't engage. Not yet at least.

Belinda's POV

I couldn't help but admire him tonight. I swear it's not the wine, I've just never seen him like this.

I've only known him for 2 months to be fair and I'm always busy with something so I hardly focus on his facial features.

His HAIR!!

It's so beautiful I wanna touch it but that's weird.

He cut his beard differently too. You'd swear he did this on purpose.

"Is everything okay Bel?"

His voice caught me off guard, causing me to nearly choke.

"Yeah." I responded, embarrassed and coughing.

I wonder if he could tell I was thinking about him. I think I played it cool enough.

"Then why were you staring at me biting your lip?" He asked laughing.

I hate that he has no filter and speaks his mind.

"I wasn't...I was just thinking about that Calvin guy. He seems nice right?"

I don't know if he believed me because he didn't respond, but I was too embarrassed to overthink that right now.

Soon we arrived at the club and he parked the car in a reserved spot for us.

He opened my door, and looked like he was deep in thought, so none of us said anything. I don't think he wanted me to anyways.

Maybe he just chose to step into bodyguard mode early so I'll let him be.

When we walked in, the guards let us through with no hassle.

Not a surprise but I didn't think it would be that easy knowing it was my first time here. I'm not complaining.

We then made our way up to VIP to meet with the clients.

I could feel Jackson tense up from behind me as we made our way through the crowd. He was barely an inch away from me making sure to stay close at all times.

We reached the top and were immediately greeted by shots.

"Hey miss Knight! Welcome! Welcome! Take a shot or 15, who's judging?" A man with tattoos all over his body except his face greeted.

I looked back at Jackson to let him know it was okay, and I watched him stare the tattooed man down. His name is Miles.

"Easy there tough guy!" One of the other men named Arthur taunted Jackson.

They didn't realise what they just did.

Knowing Jackson I quickly stepped towards the shot tray and I took 3, causing all the attention to be redirected towards me. I couldn't have Jay killing anyone before I signed the paperwork for this place.

"Oh yeah! I know a party animal when I see one!" Arthur obnoxiously yelled, causing the others to cheer.

"So boys, ready to make this a done deal?" I asked taking a seat.

I noticed Arthur putting his arm behind me on the couch and move closer but I didn't say anything yet.

I needed them to sign these papers first before I dealt with them.

"What's the rush hot stuff? Let's party a little. We have the whole night ahead of us." Miles shouted, making everyone laugh and echo his words for him.

I could feel Jackson's eyes pierce through my skin in rage but he did not move a muscle.

I couldn't stand these men but I needed to play it as cool as possible just until the deal was done.

I flicked my hair in a flirty way, leaned forward slowly and grabbed my drink, making sure to focus on Miles because he's clearly the ring leader. The key is to mess with his head here and make him think I'm interested in his disgusting ninja-turtle-looking face.

"Oh please can we do the signing first Miles" I flirted, taking a sip of my drink.

The men made weird barking noises, and Miles gave in. Soon they all signed the papers and a sense of relief flooded my body.

We then walked over to a more private area to 'talk'

Jackson handed me my purse, and I walked away with the group of men.

As they all sat like idiots thinking they won the lottery, I pulled out my gun with a silencer and shot them all in the head.

That's for cat calling me and disrespecting me.

Soon Jay stepped in and told me he'd handle it so I stepped back out and had more drinks while I waited.

The music was good here so I walked over to the dance floor.

As I did this I noticed the bodyguards being overly strict with the crowd so I could walk through with ease.

They must've been aware I'm the new owner or something then because I have never met these men and women before.

It's a bit suspicious because I noticed this when we walked in as well. I don't mind it but it's quite interesting. I like this place. I can see the vision of owning a place like this.
