Chapter 7 - "Infinity Train: A Glimpse into the Future"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Clack!

Clack!

Clack!

The steam train roared forward, wheels hammering against the tracks.

Delicious!

Delicious!

Delicious!

Inside the carriage, a young man with fiery hair and a larger-than-life spirit was absolutely demolishing his meals. Each time he polished off a beef bento, he slammed down his chopsticks with conviction and declared, loud and proud: "Delicious!"

Before him, empty boxes stacked into a miniature mountain.

"Is it really that good?"

"Watching him eat is making me hungry!"

"Say no more, I'm ordering takeout right now!"

Across the multiverse, countless onlookers watched Rengoku Kyojuro's enthusiastic "food stream," inspired to dig into their own meals at the same time.

Of course, not everyone was focused on the food. For many, the real anticipation lay in the battle that was about to begin.

"That cheerful guy—if I'm not mistaken, he's one of the strongest in the Demon Slayer Corps, right?"

"Correct. One of the Nine Hashira, the Flame Hashira, Rengoku Kyojuro. He showed up briefly during the earlier introductions."

"The story from the boy's perspective has been great so far, but… power-wise, he's still just a rookie."

"Now that the Flame Hashira is stepping in, could this mean a direct showdown with the Demon King himself?"

Speculation buzzed across worlds.

Demon Slayer World

"Rengoku-san, is this one of your missions? And wait, does this mean you knew Tanjiro and the others this early on?" Mitsuri asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

"No," Rengoku said, shaking his head firmly. "Today was the first time I met young Kamado here. And as for that train… I have no memory of ever boarding it."

"What?!" Everyone's jaws dropped.

"I don't remember it either!" Tanjiro quickly added, raising his hand.

"Then what is this scene we're seeing?" Sanemi frowned, brows knitting tightly.

"It must be," said Ubuyashiki calmly, "a glimpse of the future. We had just finished Mount Natagumo and gathered here under my summons.

No one has had the time for another mission. Given both Kyojuro and Tanjiro's words, there's only one explanation: this is an event yet to come."

"Nani?!"

"The future?!"

"This screen can show what hasn't even happened yet?!"

Shock rippled through the Demon Slayers.

"Yes… I agree with Oyakata-sama. That's the only explanation that makes sense," Shinobu nodded lightly.

"If that's true, then maybe we can learn from this and prepare for what's to come," Obanai added thoughtfully.

Mitsuri beamed. "But with Rengoku-san there, I'm sure everything will turn out fine!"

"Ha! Lucky kids. With Kyojuro on your side, you'll live to see another day," Tengen laughed, his flamboyance shining through.

"Indeed," the other Hashira murmured in agreement, their respect for Rengoku clear.

Watching the Flame Hashira earn so much praise, Giyu pressed his lips together in silence.

"…At least they don't hate me," he thought.

The Projection Continues

The Infinity Train rumbled endlessly onward. Rengoku finally set aside his bentos, turning his attention to chatting with the younger trio.

But then—

Click.

Click.

Click.

The sound of tickets being punched cut through the air. With every snip of the conductor's scissors, passengers slumped into their seats, falling asleep as though spellbound.

Even the mighty Rengoku Kyojuro wasn't spared. He too slipped into dreams.

And when the entire train had succumbed to slumber, the true "main course" appeared—Lower Moon One, Enmu, ready to devour over two hundred souls aboard the train.

Naruto World

"Is this… genjutsu?" Kurenai's eyes widened in disbelief.

She wasn't the only one—every genjutsu specialist in the shinobi world was floored by Enmu's technique.

"What did that demon just do?"

"I thought I saw something in his hands…"

"Could it be a transplanted Sharingan?"

"No, impossible. Even a Mangekyō needs eye contact first!"

Enmu hadn't even entered the car, yet somehow put everyone to sleep. A terrifying ability, impossible to defend against.

"Not eyes… more like his mouth. Hmph. If I get the chance, I'll tear it out and keep it for myself," Danzo muttered coldly, stroking his bandaged arm.

"To knock out two hundred people across a confined space… quite the genjutsu," Kisame mused. "Itachi, could you do that?"

Itachi said nothing.

"Hmph. Just a parlor trick," Obito sneered behind his mask. "Compared to the Eye of the Moon, this is nothing."

Fairy Tail World

"Eh?!"

"What kind of magic is that?!"

"To knock out that many people in an instant… wait, why does this feel kind of familiar?"

Happy, Natsu, and Gray all shouted in shock.

"This method is very similar to Mystogan's magic," Erza said, her eyes narrowing.

"Yeah, every time he comes back to the guild, he uses that sleep spell to knock us all out," Mirajane added with a soft smile.

Lucy, still new to the guild, blinked. "Mystogan's an S-Class wizard, right? Who is he, really?"

"Not a clue," Natsu and the others admitted, shaking their heads. Even they didn't know Mystogan's true identity.

Dragon Raja World

In a certain infamous host club—

"Forcing people into sleep… that's a dangerous speech spirit," Caesar said gravely, golden hair gleaming under the lights.

"It must be an unknown word spirit. Perhaps a White King bloodline?" his stoic senior commented, face as expressionless as ever.

"…Although," Lu Mingfei grinned with his usual shamelessness, "dying painlessly in a dream doesn't sound so bad. Especially if it's with, say… a certain senpai I like…"

His imagination was cut short by a cold, mocking voice.

"Big brother, you really are pathetic."

Mingfei froze. Looking around, he saw the scene shift—his younger brother, Lu Mingze, stood there, smirking at him with open disdain.

"Little devil! Perfect timing. Tell me—is this your doing? What are you planning?"

"Flattered as I am that you think so highly of me, even I can't pull this off," Mingze replied, shaking his head. "But here's a hint: doesn't the term 'multiverse' ring a bell for you, big brother?"

Demon Slayer World – Infinity Castle

"Enmu. That's you, isn't it?" Muzan's crimson eyes bored into the demon.

"Yes, Lord Muzan! That train was indeed my hunting ground. But I've never crossed paths with a Hashira there."

"So… this is yet to happen. A vision of the future?"

Realization struck Muzan like a thunderclap. The screen wasn't just replaying history—it was showing events that hadn't even unfolded.

And for the first time in centuries, the Demon King felt his grip on control slipping.

"..."
