The female driver was very familiar with motorcycles and explained many things to Akira Fujimiya, including several common problems, different types of motorcycles.
The motorcycle that Yukinoshita Haruno had given him was professional-grade — in both value and quality. It was the kind that could be used in competitions, something ordinary people would never buy.
With this, Akira began to learn carefully about driving and motorcycles under her guidance.
.....
Lunch time—
At the restaurant not far from Yukinoshita Construction Company.
Akira parked the motorcycle outside.
Yukinoshita Haruno was sitting by the window. When she saw him, she waved with a smile.
Akira remove his helmet, walked into the restaurant, and quietly took a seat across from her.
"How do you feel?" Haruno asked, resting her chin on her hand.
"I feel like a medieval knight," Akira replied casually.
"Well~ I don't have much work to do this afternoon. Could you, Mr. Knight, give me a ride somewhere?" she asked with a playful grin.
"With my level of driving experience, I can't carry passengers, right?" Akira reminded her.
"Theoretically, no," she admitted with a smirk. "But if you're confident, you can try."
She gestured to the waiter for their order.
"If you're not afraid," Akira said, glancing at the motorcycle outside the window, "I can take you to the beach. I'd like to see the scenery there."
Haruno chuckled softly, then pulled out a documents from her bag and handed it to him.
Akira took the documents, skimmed through it, and quickly realized she had accepted his idea.
"I asked my assistant to do some research," Haruno began. "The Digital manga industry is still in its trial stage, but there's already a considerable overseas market. As long as we hold the copyright, it will greatly increase the value of Future comic's in the future. I must say, Mr. Fujimiya, your suggestions might be worth billions."
"Is that all you see?" Akira asked calmly.
"Oh?" Haruno's eyes gleamed with curiosity.
"Just creating an Digital Manga app won't revolutionize the publishing world," Akira explained. "If you think that's the whole future, then your vision is too narrow."
He pulled out another document and handed it to her.
As Haruno began reading — With each page, her expression grew more astonished.
Inside were plans for revenue sharing, website panels, recommendation slots, advertising slots, four-panel comics, light novel contracts, animation crowd-funding, and overseas copyright systems.
The concept was simple but filled with innovative ideas that shocked her.
If realized, this project would make electronic comics platforms far more valuable than traditional publishers.
"Akira-kun… these plans…" she murmured.
"The main issue is copyright," Akira said. "Everything else can be solved easily. We already have an animation studio, and have partners in Future comic, and all we need is to acquire a video platform to push it further."
"To build a huge entertainment platform?" Haruno said, finally understanding.
"Exactly. Once the platform appears, it'll become the focus of the entire industry. How far it goes… depends on you."
He was simply describing a system that had already succeeded in his original world — but for this one, it was something new and groundbreaking.
Even if he didn't act, someone else eventually would.
"Akira-kun, you really gave me a surprise," Haruno said, sighing regretfully. "It's a shame I don't have enough capital right now."
"You're planning to do it yourself?" Akira asked, a bit surprised.
"If I want freedom, I have to break away from the Yukinoshita family's control," she replied seriously.
"So...you plan to borrow money?"
"Mm. I have a valuable asset I can mortgage — something anyone would want."
Haruno smiled as she looked at Akira.
"This joke isn't funny," he said with a frown.
But she kept smiling, her gaze sharp and calculating — as though she wasn't looking at a person, but at a gold mine.
For a brief moment, Akira considered leaving. But lunch had already been served, and wasting it would be a shame.
.....
After lunch,
Haruno excused herself and went to the restroom.
Akira quietly sipped his coffee and gazed out the window.
He knew Haruno was contacting someone — someone who could influence the Yukinoshita family.
But would that person really be interested in him?
If they were… then—
"Akira-kun, I'm back," Haruno's voice broke his train of thoughts.
As he turn around to see that Haruno has return, with a pleasant expression.
"What's wrong?" he asked, he suddenly had a bad feeling after seeing her expression.
"Fifty billion yen," Haruno said, sitting down. "If you can't repay it, all the stories you create in the future will belong to the lender — and you must fulfill three of their wishes. Those are the terms."
"I'm… worth that much?" Akira blinked in disbelief.
"I didn't expect it either," she admitted. "The contract will arrive within two hours. As soon as you sign, you'll receive fifty billion yen."
"... Fifty billion yen," Akira repeated slowly. "You want me to hand it all over to you to manage?"
"If your plan fails, I'll compensate you," Haruno replied lightly.
"What kind of compensation?"
At that, Haruno stood up, leaned close, and whispered something into his ear.
Akira froze for a few seconds, then gave her a complicated look.
"Are you sure that's compensation and not revenge?"
"This deal benefits both of us," Haruno said, swirling her coffee with a smile. "If it succeeds, I'll never need to marry anyone. At worst, my reputation will suffer a little."
"I hope your 'worst' never happens," Akira replied flatly.
"If your plan succeeds," Haruno continued, "I'll leave the Yukinoshita family and help you run the business. I only want ten percent of the shares."
"I'll give you five percent at most."
"I thought you'd say that," she laughed. "The remaining five percent isn't for me."
"You mean, regardless of my success, you'll still do this?"
"More or less. If you fail, I lose my chance anyway. If you succeed, I'll be happy — and I expect a reward from you."
"If Yukino heard this, she'd probably be even colder toward you."
"Akira-kun, as long as Yukino doesn't know and no one else finds out, it'll remain our secret," Haruno said sweetly, as she placed her hand over his.
Akira looked down but didn't pull away.
She smiled, slowly tightening her hold over his hand.
He lifted his coffee cup, letting her hold his hand. As long as it didn't go beyond that, he could accept it.
Haruno's eyes softened—
She knew Akira wouldn't accept more — not yet.
But she had patience.
Even if he never did, she had a backup plan.
.....
Two hours later,
A luxury car stopped outside the restaurant.
Haruno stood up, adjusting her dress.
Akira followed her as they approached the vehicle.
The car door opened — and a maid stepped out.
Despite the uniform, she carried herself more like a bodyguard. Her expression was cold, her long black hair tied neatly behind her.
She bowed slightly. "My name is Asaka. I serve as my Lady's maid."
"I'm Akira Fujimiya," he replied politely. "Nice to meet you, Miss Asaka."
Asaka nodded, her expression same as before. "On the way here, my lady has finalized some conditions for the arrangements."
"Please, go ahead," Akira said evenly.
"You may use the fifty billion yen as you wish," she explained. "And If you cannot repay it, there are three alternatives."
"What are they?" Akira asked, narrowing his eyes a little.
"First, one hundred original stories, Second, fulfilling three wishes from my lady, or Third, you must return assets equivalent to fifty billion yen."
"Which one is the hardest?" Akira asked, while also thinking about the conditions.
Asaka paused for a moment, then said quietly, "My lady's three wishes."
"Can I know what they are?" Akira asked.
"The lady prefers you not to know for now," Asaka replied. "She hopes you'll repay her through results — not promises."
"How long do I have?"
"Five years," she answered.
"I accept her conditions," Akira said firmly. "And please tell your lady — when I'm qualified to meet her, I hope for a proper conversation."
Asaka studied him carefully, took out a document, and handed it to him.
Akira reviewed it carefully for over ten minutes before signing.
Asaka turned around and returned to the car, opened her laptop, and pressed a key—
Moments later, Akira's phone buzzed — Fifty billion yen had just been transferred.
"This contract holds no legal binding," Asaka said coldly, closing the laptop, "The lady simply trusts you. I hope you won't disappoint her."
"I understand," Akira said sincerely. "Please thank her for me. I'll return both the money and the favor."
Asaka studied him silently, then nodded and got back into the car.
Haruno spoke up for the first time. "Give my regards to the young lady. I'll make sure to visit her next time I'm in Tokyo."
Asaka nodded her head without replying, then closed the car door.
The vehicle drove away, leaving Haruno and Akira standing side by side in the afternoon sun.
The real challenge had just begun.
