Chapter 106 - Chapter 106

Then she blinked and looked at Akira.

Akira had no choice but to pick up the wine glass and drink the red wine in it.

(T/N: You lying son of a gun)

When Yukinoshita Haruno saw this, and a smile appeared on her face.

...

Early Morning,

Akira woke up.

He glanced at Yukinoshita Haruno lying on the sofa opposite him, then at the blanket covering himself.

Last night, he had drunk a little too much and had not returned home. Haruno had gotten drunk before him.

The blanket had originally been on her, but now it was on him. This meant that Haruno had covered him when she woke up.

Thinking of this, Akira sat up, brought the blanket to her side, and gently covered her. As he stare at her for sometime before he glanced at the time and looked away.

There were very few people in the bar at this early hour, and the waiters were all seating down to rest.

Akira took the elevator down to the underground parking lot, put on his helmet, and set off.

After half an hour, he returned to Sakurasou.

By then, dawn had already arrived.

Akira parked his motorcycle and placed his helmet in the spacious trunk, which could easily hold two helmets and other belongings.

Just as he closed the trunk and prepared to go upstairs, the door of Kawasaki's family opened.

Akira saw Saki Kawasaki stepping out and wasn't too surprised—she always got up early.

"Good morning," Akira greeted her.

"...Good morning…" Saki Kawasaki was slightly stunned upon seeing him, more specifically his face.

"What's wrong?" Akira asked, puzzled by her reaction.

"You… your face…" Saki Kawasaki pointed at his cheek.

Akira immediately understood—it must have been a prank by Yukinoshita Haruno.

Fortunately, the one who saw it was Saki Kawasaki. If it had been Hiratsuka-sensei, he would really have been beaten.

"Thanks for letting me know. Don't tell anyone about this," Akira said.

"I… I won't," Saki Kawasaki replied, bowing her head.

Akira then went upstairs. Hiratsuka-sensei was about to wake up, so staying any longer would be unwise.

Saki Kawasaki watched Akira's back, remembering what her sister had said before going to bed last night:

"If my sister could be with Akira nii-san, she would be very happy."

She hadn't answered at the time, but now, doubts formed in her mind.

Would she really be happy together?

.....

Akira went to the bathroom, noticed the kiss marks on his face, he stare at it before quickly washed them off.

As he walked out, his phone rang.

It was a message from Yukinoshita Haruno:

"Sorry, Akira-kun. I hope my prank didn't cause you any trouble?"

Akira sighed, thinking about it, and replied:

"Next time, try a different place."

A few seconds later, she responded:

"Okay, if Akira-kun wants."

Akira didn't reply, putting his phone away.

Next up was his morning run. He was looking forward to testing the results of his super-improved physique.

.....

On a quiet road,

Hiratsuka Shizuka watched Akira with a confused expression.

He seemed… different today. Running had never looked so effortless.

Previously, Akira would get a little tired reaching the park, but now, he seemed practically unstoppable.

Could this level of exercise have improved his stamina so quickly?

He ran all the way to the park without sitting down to rest.

Instead, he practiced the fighting techniques Hiratsuka-sensei had taught him, performing every move perfectly.

"...Aren't..you tired?" Shizuka Hiratsuka asked involuntarily.

"Sensei, this level of morning jogging doesn't affect me anymore. You take your time to rest, I'll go back first and continue practicing the moves you taught me."

After saying this, Akira quickly sprinted toward Sakurasou.

Hiratsuka Shizuka's expression was a mix of disbelief and irritation.

She clenched her teeth and gave chase.

She couldn't lose to this kid.

The two returned to Sakurasou—one in front, one behind.

Akira felt slightly tired, but Hiratsuka Shizuka could hardly speak from exertion.

"Sensei, don't overdo it. You're not as young as me, and I still am," Akira reminded her.

"I am young! You brat!" Shizuka Hiratsuka snapped.

"Okay, let's continue?" Akira assumed a fighting stance.

"You still need more practice before you're qualified to spar with me," she said, turning her head.

She knew that if she fought Akira now, she would lose. With her personality, she would never let herself take it easy.

Akira smiled knowingly and walked upstairs.

Hiratsuka Shizuka clenched her fists, fuming.

Is he mocking me? How despicable! I'll definitely give him a proper lesson next time.

.....

After breakfast, the three of them went to school together.

The exam began, after he completed the test.

He had time to do his work.

The difference was that today, he focused on writing a new original animation project instead of just drafting the beginning like last night.

Now, he had ample time to perfect the plan.

The first part of the project was a story about friendship between girls, divided into light and heavy versions.

The light version included more comedic elements and didn't take the romance too seriously.

The heavy version focused on emotions in detail, emphasizing psychological changes and facial expressions. It had to be delicate and nuanced.

The second part of the project also revolved around girls, but highlighted effort and positivity.

Examples included an idol girl working to save a shopping street, a new employee at a gaming company, or a story about animation production.

In these stories, the heroine works hard and ultimately grows, gaining recognition.

The third part laid the foundation for virtual idols and 3D idols.

This could be gradually developed, starting with comics and later producing animations.

By the end of the morning, Akira had written a detailed plan.

The original animation project now had enough scripts to select from.

Wakaka Tamura, Hitoshi Niino could all produce these animations, though manpower alone was still insufficient.

The animations required skilled animators.

Tamura Wakaka would need to select original works from their companies, then integrate them into this project.

It seems I need help from Flash Animation studio and other studios, Akira thought.

He wanted to produce four animations per quarter: two original, two adapted from light novels or comics.

This required supervision at the level of Niinohara. The ideal choice was animators who had left Flash Animation.

.....

Lunch Break,

Akira ate in the classroom before heading to the rooftop to call Kana Sada about recruiting animators.

Kana Sada immediately assured him it was no problem. Some excellent animators soon arrived at Flash Animation studio.

The three animation production studios could now add staff.

Niinohara and Tamura Wakaka had also recommended animators who had left. They knew Flash Animation had a new president and wanted to return to continue creating animations.

Unfortunately, a good animation director—a team's soul—was missing. Directors rarely leave their companies. Those who had left must have been disappointed; Flash Animation could have become a much larger company if its original animations had been properly developed.

Akira sighed and asked Kana Sada to do her best in finding talent.

After hanging up, he returned to the classroom, pondering:

Should he make Yukinoshita Yukino and Kanae Takahashi work harder, or could he take on animation director duties himself?

.....

The afternoon exam ended.

When, Akira took the Yukinoshita family's car with Yukinoshita Yukino to Flash Animation after saying bye to Yui, Yumiko and others.

He discussed the new original animation project and the shortage of manpower with Yukino on the way to the Studio.
