Chapter 105 - Chapter 105

In the past, Kawasaki Keika sister would come home very late, and the moment she lay down, she would fall asleep immediately.

Even she could feel how exhausted she was just by looking at her.

Now, her sister slept soundly every night and no longer felt drained.

All of this was thanks to Akira nii-san.

Unfortunately, he already had a girlfriend.

Deep down, Kawasaki Keika secretly wished that her sister and Akira nii-san could be together.

That way, her sister would be genuinely happy.

While, she was thinking about it — Akira and Yuigahama Yui went upstairs together.

As Kawasaki Kyoka watched their backs, then glanced at Hiratsuka-sensei beside her.

Hiratsuka-sensei seemed unusually unfriendly toward Akira nii-san.

But she didn't know why.

Akira nii-san is such a good person. I don't understand why Sensei is angry at him.

.....

In Akira's Room,

Akira was focused on a new original animation project.

This was going to be a long-running series—lighthearted, warm, and funny.

There was so much material he could incorporate: a bunny café, camping stories, fishing trips…

A girl who becomes an idol to save the shopping district.

Or a students who debuts as an idol to save their school together.

The more Akira wrote, the more he realized that this series could spawn multiple original animations.

If idol girls were made into a project, it could bridge the gap between the two-dimensional world and reality—or even launch a virtual idol plan directly.

Wouldn't that be a huge opportunity?

Virtual idols were still experimental in this world.

Within the next five years, many companies would certainly try them out.

Within ten years, the competition among virtual idols would be fierce.

If they started cultivating virtual idols now, they could become popular in under a year.

You could even create animations to tell their stories.

"Instead of acquiring an existing idol agency, why not start a new one?" Akira said to himself. "So many girls want to be idols—it wouldn't cost nearly as much…"

Whether it was for the virtual idol project or for Miura Yumiko, an idol agency was essential.

Akira picked up his phone and quickly dialed Yukinoshita Haruno.

Not long after, she answered.

"Akira-kun, do you miss me?" Her teasing voice can be heard from the phone.

"Do you have time? I want to discuss something with you," Akira said directly.

"New ideas?" Haruno's tone hinted she already suspected something.

"Yes. This idea should be just as valuable as a future comic publishing venture," Akira said, gazing out the window.

"Should I meet you at Sakurasou? Or do you want me to come to the bar?" Haruno asked.

"I'm coming to the bar." Akira replied.

"Don't tell me it's because of your girlfriend? Lucky you—Yukino makes animations for you, and you have a kind, gentle girlfriend."

"Jealous?"

"I am. Akira-kun is obviously mine, yet another girl took you away. I wish i could get you back."

"When did I become yours?"

"You figure it out."

"I can't guess."

"You have already guess it, right…"

"...I'll be at the bar soon."

Akira hung up, quickly jotted down his thoughts, and left his bedroom.

Standing outside Yuigahama Yui's small room, he hesitated for a moment before gently pushing the door open.

Yui was inside, looking over some papers.

After hearing the door, she turned toward him.

"I'm going out for a while and may be back late. You should go to bed early," Akira said softly from outside, not entering the room.

"Are you going to meet another girl?" Yui blinked.

"Yukinoshita Haruno," Akira answered truthfully.

"Akira-kun, you can't…" Yui's voice trailed off.

"She's my partner, not the kind of relationship you're imagining. Don't overthink it," Akira said, shaking his head.

"I'm just reminding you," Yui said, smiling shyly.

Seeing this, Akira smirk and entered the room.

Yui's face turned crimson instantly as he approached the bedside.

When he kissed her, she closed her eyes and hugged his neck.

A few minutes later, she reluctantly let go. Akira kissed her forehead once more before leaving the small room.

.....

It took Akira just over half an hour to get from Sakurasou to the bar, thanks to the light traffic.

He parked his motorcycle and took the elevator up to Angel's Stairway.

Elegant piano music floated through the air as he entered.

Akira went straight to Yukinoshita Haruno's private room.

Her driver quickly opened the door when she spotted him.

Inside, Haruno greeted him with a warm smile.

Akira closed the door behind him, walked to the sofa across from her, and sat down.

He quietly handed her the written document he had prepared.

Haruno took the papers and read them carefully.

.....

Traditional idols required long training periods and significant resources. Virtual idols, on the other hand, demanded much less time and fewer resources.

That didn't mean traditional idols were bad. Each had advantages and drawbacks.

Popular traditional idols brought massive profits to agencies and fame to themselves.

Virtual idols, through live broadcasts, could attract fans without much requirements, as long as the content was entertaining.

The downside of traditional idols: long training periods, and success was never guaranteed.

The downside of virtual idols: limited real-life exposure, meaning they could remain obscure to most people.

Virtual idols existed in a virtual world, with personalities and backstories often pre-determined.

...

After Haruno finished reading Akira's proposal.

"Starting from scratch to create an idol agency is indeed cheaper. Many underground idols struggle to debut, so signing contracts with them would be easier," she explained.

"What's the catch?" Akira asked.

"An agency won't gain public recognition without popular idols," Haruno replied.

"And the virtual idol project?" Akira asked, nodding.

"That's a major opportunity. Virtual idols have more advantages that normal idols don't, and they can attract more audiences," Haruno said approvingly.

"So what's your recommendation?" Akira asked.

"We can proceed with the virtual idol project first, without needing established stars. Underground idols can be recruited, trained, and given resources to develop independently. Popular idols depend on opportunities—they all have contracts, so recruiting them is difficult," Haruno explained.

"So acquiring an existing idol agency would be more effective?" Akira realized.

"Yes. A new agency would make underground idols suspicious. Some agencies claim to train idols, only to secretly exploit them…"

"Okay. Then we can buy an idol agency."

Haruno smiled, raised her wine glass, and clinked it with Akira's. As He sipped in response.

"Akira-kun, do you want to manage the agency yourself, or should I send someone?" she asked meaningfully.

"You send someone. I just want to help a friend become an idol," Akira said, shaking his head.

"A friend? Girlfriend, right?" Haruno said, as she moved closer, sitting beside him.

"..Not yet," Akira said calmly.

"Not yet? In other words, she could become your girlfriend eventually? Akira-kun, you're the worst. You already have three girlfriends and still want more," Haruno teased, slightly resentful.

"Three?, don't count yourself in. Even if you want to, I won't agree," Akira replied lightly.

Haruno grabbed his arm and locked eyes with him.

Akira didn't move, returning her gaze steadily.

They stared at each other for several seconds before she leaned in and closed her eyes.

Akira raised a hand, stopping her.

"Akira-kun, can't I do this? Am I am good enough?" she asked softly.

"It's my problem. You're very attractive," he said.

"Is this your strange sense of responsibility again? I don't need you to be responsible for me," she replied softly.

"You don't have to, but I'd feel guilty otherwise," Akira admitted.

Haruno sighed, and Akira set down his hand, lifting his wine glass instead to drink.

Haruno saw this and lightly grabbed his hand.

Seeing this— Akira sighed as he understood what she want.

He slowly moved the glass in front of her. She smiled gently, completely unfazed, and took a sip.
