Chapter 109 - Chapter 109

"Nice to meet you," Hikigaya Komachi smiled at Hayama Hayato.

"Nice to meet you. Hikigaya-san, Totsuka-san, I hope we can become friends," Hayato Hayama said after glancing at Komachi, then looking toward Hikigaya Hachiman and Totsuka Ayaka.

"Hayama-kun…" Totsuka Saika was a little surprised at this approach.

Hikigaya Hachiman frowned.

Hayato Hayama was part of this group but had no prior connection with him. Why would he say something like that?

He glanced at Akira, suspiciously.

Akira smiled but said nothing.

"Onii-chan, you can't refuse other people's kindness. Even Senior Hayama said so," Hikigaya Komachi said, turning to look at Hachiman.

"Alright," Hachiman said helplessly.

Hayato Hayama exhaled in relief and looked at Komachi with gratitude.

Komachi smiled but glanced at Akira.

Senior Hayama had been brought here by Akira, so the reason for his words must be connected to Akira. But Hayato's tone was sincere, and Komachi didn't worry that her stupid nni-san would be taken advantage of.

"Let's go. I already have an appointment. There's a professional tennis coach here to give lessons," Akira said.

Totsuka's eyes lit up at this.

.....

After half an hour, they arrived at the tennis court.

Everyone changed into tennis clothes.

Totsuka Saika challenged the professional coach, while Hayama Hayato smiled and invited Hikigaya Hachiman to play.

Hachiman wanted to refuse, but with Komachi watching (more like staring), he had no choice but to agree.

Akira watched as they walked toward the empty court.

"Fujimiya nii-san, thank you," Komachi said softly.

"You're welcome. Although your Onii-chan has a strange personality, he is a good friend," Akira replied, observing the two who had started playing.

"...Does Fujimiya nii-san know Onii-chan very well?" Komachi asked after a moment of hesitation.

"I heard it from others," Akira said simply.

"What others say may not always be accurate," Komachi said, looking at him.

"And that is why, I joined the tennis club," Akira said, turning to Komachi.

Their eyes met, and neither looked away for a long time.

Komachi looked away first.

"Fujimiya nii-san gives me a very different feeling," she said.

"Does it make you feel excited? Or scared?"

Akira said as he again glanced at Hachiman on the court.

"It feels like...Fujimiya nii-san knows Komachi very well," she said after a moment of silence.

"I do know a lot, and it wasn't Hachiman who told me," Akira nodded.

"Then what does Fujimiya nii-san think of Komachi?" she asked, a grin appearing on her face.

"A sister with a very delicate mind," Akira said slowly.

"Does that means that Komachi is very clever?" she blinked.

"Almost," Akira said casually.

Hearing this, Komachi pouted.

Akira glanced toward Totsuka Saika.

"I want your Onii-chan to work for me."

"...What kind of job?" Komachi asked, slightly surprised.

"It's an ordinary job that will let him adapt to office life in advance. The monthly salary will be the same as a regular office worker, and it will take place during summer vacation," Akira explained.

"Fujimiya nii-san, do you trust Onii-chan that much? Aren't you worried about his work ability?" Komachi asked, firing two questions at once.

"I believe he won't let me down," Akira replied.

"In that case, Komachi will help you convince Onii-chan. What's your plan?" she asked, without hesitation her grin never leaving her face.

"Yes, you just need to…"

"Okay, Fujimiya nii-san, I promise to complete this task," Komachi said confidently.

.....

Hikigaya Komachi was smart, and a very responsible sister. Although she had her own thoughts, they were always well-intentioned.

So, when Akira explained matters concerning Hachiman, Komachi agreed to help without hesitation.

Poor Hachiman—he didn't yet know that his summer vacation was already planned.

.....

Totsuka Saika's tennis skills had improved considerably.

Under the guidance of professional coaches, he understood many techniques he hadn't grasped before.

Hayama Hayato's relationship with Hachiman also improved slightly after their match.

Under Akira's guidance, Komachi learned tennis as well, practicing against a serving machine.

While Totsuka Saika rested, Akira played against the professional coach, receiving their praise.

The coach said Akira had abilities far beyond a high school student. If he joined a high school tennis tournament, he could become the champion.

Akira wasn't interested in competing.

He simply wanted to test how his enhanced physical abilities affected his tennis.

After practicing, he concluded: with some improvement, he could potentially become a professional player.

.....

At lunchtime, they all went to a ramen restaurant recommended by Akira.

The ramen uncle smiled slightly upon seeing him.

"Not bringing your girlfriend today?"

"Still the most delicious ramen," Akira replied with a shake of his head, then sat down, without answering.

"What's the most delicious ramen?" Totsuka Saika asked curiously.

"It should be the ramen the chef thinks is most delicious. Am I right, Fujimiya nii-san?" Komachi asked, smiling.

"Instead of choosing myself, I prefer to let a reliable chef decide," Akira said, scanning the menu.

"Having trouble deciding?" Hachiman muttered.

There weren't many customers. So, the ramen uncle quickly served the dishes.

The ramen in front of Akira looked different from last time.

As the five were very hungry after playing tennis, they quickly started eating quietly.

After Komachi tasted her ramen, and her eyes lit up.

"Uncle, this ramen is delicious!" she exclaimed.

"Thank you, little girl. Come again next time, and I'll give you more side dishes," the uncle replied, smiling kindly.

"I will definitely come again," Komachi said happily.

"Hayama-kun, how does it taste?" Akira asked.

"It surpassed my perception of ramen," Hayama said seriously.

"Hayama-kun probably rarely visits ramen shops, right?" Totsuka asked.

Hayama nodded.

He'd been to ramen restaurants fewer than five times in his life. The most memorable food for him had been instant ramen.

"When you're tired, even ordinary food can seem delicious," Akira said, continuing to eat.

"Delicious food becomes even more delicious," Hayama smiled, as he added.

.....

Soon, they finished lunch.

"My schedule is for the whole day," Akira said.

"Thank you, Akira-kun," Totsuka Saika said, his face lighting up.

"Hikigaya-san, shall we continue?" Hayama asked Hachiman.

"Okay," Hachiman said, noticing the gaze beside him.

"Komachi, let's go shopping?" Akira asked.

"No problem," Komachi said, surprised before it got replace by her usual smile.

Hachiman frowned, wanting to object, but Totsuka Saika tugged at his clothes. He looked at her, remembering Akira's family situation, and fell silent.

A few minutes later, the five separated in front of the ramen shop.

Komachi watched Hachiman leave, then turned to Akira.

"Fujimiya nii-san, where are we going?"

"Would you like to visit my company?"

Komachi blinked.

"Let's go," Akira said, stretching out his hand to hail a passing taxi.
