The system window was much longer than it had been just a few days ago. Honestly, it's a huge relief — knowing I can probably solo a few floors now.

As for the description of Gabriel's Wrath, it sounds a little... chuunibyo, to be honest.

Well, there wasn't anything I could do about it so all I could do was hope for the best.

I left the area where the X-Factor Gate had appeared and headed home. My sister in this world wasn't there — the house felt strangely empty. As though I was back to my old self, wasting time playing games and ignoring everything that mattered. I told myself I wouldn't let that happen again. I won't abandon this life… or the sisters I have in it.

There was still some time before sundown, so I went to the Player Association to formally register as a player. My sister had no idea I wasn't registered yet. To climb the towers, clear them, and earn absolute riches, one had to be a registered player in Korea.

It was within walking distance, so I made my way there. The building stood towering over the city—so tall that calling it the tallest in the world might not even be an exaggeration.

As I walked toward the entrance, a group of female players passed by. They honestly looked cute.

"Hey, isn't he cute?" one of the four girls said.

"Yeah, he is."

"Is he a new player?"

I could clearly hear them, but it didn't seem to bother them that I did. Their gear looked cheap, so I guessed they were probably C-rank players.

I entered the building and immediately saw players everywhere—some in armor, others in casual clothes. I went straight to the reception desk facing the entrance. Behind it sat a woman with long dark hair and soft brown eyes, the kind of brown that reminded me of chocolate.

"Hey! How may I help you?" she asked brightly.

"I'm here to register as a player," I replied, then added with a grin, "but wow, I've gotta say—you look really cute."

"Eh! T-thanks," she stammered, her cheeks turning pink—like, embarrassingly pink.

"Well, anyways, please follow me this way," she said, her cheeks still pink.

I followed her as we passed a series of rooms. They weren't covered with walls—just glass panels, so anyone could see what was happening inside.

Curious, I asked her name, even though I could have easily seen it with my [Odin's Eye] skill.

"M-my name is Shin Valerie," she replied shyly.

"Cute name. I'm Arthur Park. Nice to meet you, Valerie."

"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Arthur Park," she said, a small smile on her lips.

"There's no need to call me 'Mr.' Please, I insist."

"Okay, Arthur!!" she exclaimed.

"We've arrived at the room I was taking you to. Inside, you'll find a machine we call a Mana Resonator. It will evaluate your Mana level and assign your rank."

"If my Mana is low, it gives out a full blue color—right?" I asked.

"And if it's high?"

"If it's high, it emits a bright gold light," she replied.

Honestly, my Mana wasn't ordinary—I'm an anomaly. My Mana rank was far above average… or so I thought.

The machine was enormous—me standing next to it, I'm sure I would have looked tiny. A large sphere covered in arcane patterns, it rested atop a sturdy pedestal. I had seen this countless times while getting my Mana rank assessed in the game before, but seeing it up close… it really was massive.

Valerie instructed me to stand on the platform and place my hand on the sphere. As I did, a series of beeping noises filled the room.

BEEP!

It was honestly creepy… until a white light burst from the sphere. The brilliance was blinding, unlike anything I had ever seen.

"Ah!"

I could hear Valerie's shocked gasp—probably because of my astonishing Mana rank. I mean, I was probably strong, so it would explain the bright color.

But there was something Valerie had forgotten to mention: the machine could display another color. A bright white light meant that your Mana level was below F rank—essentially as ordinary as an F-rank player in their eyes.

I had also forgotten about that.

"I'm sorry but congratulations on being a player". She sounded disappointed… and sad at the same time. It was strange—someone in this world with the Tower could feel sadness for another person.
