Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Uptight Yet Provocative

Amidst the swirling smoke, Sienna Thornton instantly spotted Simon Forrester.

Even though they had only met once before, and despite the passage of time, she still vividly remembered this man's... perfectly sculpted backside.

In her eyes, he was the most outstanding in terms of image and charisma among all the men she had ever seen.

At that moment, he was dressed in a double-breasted, deep gray suit, paired with a crisp white French shirt and a burgundy tie, with a pocket square in matching colors adorning his chest.

His dense dark brown hair was elegantly styled and crisply arranged at his forehead, further enhancing his deep-set features.

His thick eyebrows and high nose were particularly striking, and the tightly pressed thin lips conveyed a single message—this man's temperament was cold, perhaps even too cold to engage.

Yet, the suit and tie combination subtly hinted at his reserved yet provocative nature.

This way, Sienna could approximate his personality.

Sure enough, when Thomas Reed invited him to sit, he merely spared a cold glance at Thomas.

He sat down across from Sienna and gave a slight nod in greeting.

His gaze was indifferent and unfamiliar.

Sienna thought he might have already forgotten that she had once delivered a puppy to him and had seen him with his pants down.

It's just as well if he doesn't remember, it avoids awkwardness.

Sienna pressed her lips together and gracefully handed over the legal letter.

Simon Forrester took it without expression, opened it, glanced casually, and then tossed the letter lightly to Thomas Reed, saying flatly, "I don't know this person."

Sienna then handed over the provided copy of the agreement.

Thomas Reed took it, directly looked to the end page's signature, and within seconds, seriously slammed the agreement onto the table, "This agreement is forged! The signature is fake!"

Sienna did not question it.

Thomas Reed was a seasoned lawyer and Simon Forrester's cousin, nobody knew what Simon's signature looked like better than him.

This bizarre case seemed to finally have arrived at a somewhat normal trajectory.

Sienna gathered her thoughts, retrieved a leather notebook from her bag, and began documenting as she asked, "I will re-confirm the authenticity of the agreement with my client. Is there anything else you'd like to add, Mr. Forrester?"

The man, who had been aloof all along, finally lifted his gaze to look at her. But this glance was also quite bland, devoid of any meaningful intent.

He did not directly address her but raised the agreement and turned his face to ask Thomas Reed, "With this forged compensation agreement, can I sue the other party for extortion?"

"You can wait until Sienna negotiates with the other party tomorrow and then decide on what remedial actions to take."

The man raised an eyebrow, tossed the agreement to Thomas Reed, stood up swiftly, and elegantly adjusted the black diamond cufflinks on his wrist, "Handle the ending for me, I'm leaving."

He walked away without a thought to preserving face.

Sienna glanced at Thomas Reed without showing any emotion, his face reflecting a rather helpless smile.

He served Sienna a bowl of soup, advising her first to eat well to have the energy for legal battles, before starting to explain Simon Forrester's dismissive demeanor: "Cyrus is an architect, his work is quite demanding, and he doesn't like socializing much, so his attitude just now was a bit cold; don't take it to heart."

Sienna smiled and said nothing.

She was completely unconcerned with Simon Forrester's attitude.

Yet, Thomas Reed's conversation revolved entirely around Simon Forrester, as if he couldn't resist narrating Cyrus's entire life story.

"He's a peculiar one, never liked playing with girls since childhood; while peers were already considering engagement, he packed his bags right after college and ran off to Britain to study! When he returned, he was a renowned award-winning international architect..."

Speaking of which, Thomas Reed's tone held noticeable pride, yet suddenly he began to 'complain' about Simon Forrester: "Now he's at an age where this matters, still not dating, nor seen getting close to any girl; we're quite worried he might be gay, so how could he possibly be involved in such a thing..."
