Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Summer Lowell Pretends to Compromise

Maxim Sinclair ignored her words, turned around, and went outside to bring breakfast, placing it in front of Summer Lowell: "Eat up, and rest well after you're done."

Seeing that his tone had normalized a bit, Summer cautiously spoke, "Maxim Sinclair, can you take off this chain? I still have to go to work. Let's talk this out, okay? Don't do this kind of thing, please?"

"Ah, I almost forgot," Maxim feigned a look of sudden remembrance.

Already trembling like a frightened bird, Summer asked in a shaky voice, "What?"

Maxim walked over, picked up Summer's phone, and casually entered the password. As he did, he glanced back at the bewildered Summer in bed and said, "I helped you take a leave."

At this moment, Summer had no energy to ask him how he knew her phone password. "Maxim Sinclair, please be reasonable. I apologize for what I just said, and for everything in the past, it really was my fault."
