Chapter 38 - Chapter 38, Grouping Issues

"After the groups are finalized, everyone needs to go with your group member to watch a performance of Midsummer Night's Dream. I will provide free tickets.

After watching the performance, you will write a review together, and then perform the second act of Midsummer Night's Dream together. The specific parts to be performed have already been printed into a script, which I will distribute to you shortly.

Finally, you will record your performance and send the video along with your review to me. That's all." The professor finished speaking, seeing that the classroom was already buzzing with discussion.

"Have you ever acted?" A male student in the first row quietly asked his companion.

"Yes, I often feign illness to leave early." The companion shrugged, a smug look on his face.

"Please, everyone, do not discuss yet. I know you may feel apprehensive about acting.

If you truly do not wish to act, simply writing a review is also acceptable. As long as the review is sincere and outstanding, you can receive a maximum grade of B+, allowing you all to pass the final exam.

However, I still hope that you will all try acting. You are all young people, in a period of vibrant energy. Performing a love play might be an unforgettable experience for you.

Moreover, perhaps in the process of acting, you might even find your beloved partner. That would also be a good thing.

As for acting skills, you don't need to worry. As long as you take this step, I will give you high marks." The professor said kindly.

"But Professor, I already have a girlfriend!" A male student at the back of the classroom raised his hand and asked, then he was held down and beaten by several single students around him.

"Alright, the process has been explained. Everyone, please come and draw lots. Even if you only plan to write a review, you still need to come and draw, who knows, you might fall in love at first sight with your female partner." The professor finished speaking, then flipped the cardboard box over, revealing it full of slips of paper.

Since the professor did not mandate acting, the students were still quite happy, swarming to the podium, especially some single people yearning for love, who were even more impatient.

In the entire classroom, perhaps the unhappiest person was Jiang Yuhan; the killing intent emanating from her was almost overflowing.

"Vice President, you look very displeased. Aren't you going to draw lots?" Su Hao chuckled.

"It's not just 'looks,' I really am displeased! I don't want to draw lots right now, I just want to hit someone!" Jiang Yuhan slammed the table heavily, then reluctantly went to queue up for the drawing.

To get the highest scholarship, she could only resign herself to fate.

"Shuxin, shall we go too?" Su Hao said, standing up.

"Mhm, I hope we can draw together, that way we can rehearse with fatal love." Li Shuxin nodded, a hint of hope on her face.

"We should draw together." Su Hao smiled.

The queue moved quickly, and it wasn't long before it was Li Shuxin's turn.

"You're a very pretty student, comparable to my daughter." The professor saw Li Shuxin's appearance and stroked his beard with a laugh.

"Your daughter?" Su Hao looked at the professor's wrinkled face and found it hard to imagine his daughter being pretty.

"Shuxin, what number did you draw?" Seeing Li Shuxin thank the professor and then turn to walk aside, Su Hao casually grabbed a slip of paper and followed her.

"Number 12."

"I'm also Number 12." Su Hao and Li Shuxin opened their slips together, and seeing the same number, they immediately laughed.

This meant they were assigned to the same group.

"What number is Senior Student Yuhan?" Li Shuxin's lips curled up as she put away her slip and looked at Jiang Yuhan beside her.

"Number 18," Jiang Yuhan said through gritted teeth, then turned around: "Who is Number 18?"

"I… I am!" A random person walked over.

"Su Hao, when are you free? Let's find a time to go watch the play first." Li Shuxin shifted her gaze to Su Hao's face and asked in a low voice.

It was her first time watching a movie with a boy.

"How about this afternoon? Do you have class this afternoon?" Su Hao thought for a moment, deciding it would be better to deal with the play sooner.

After all, he still had Peilin and Lin Jiayu to accompany; they had just gone through that experience and needed comfort.

"This afternoon? Alright, I happen to not have class this afternoon." Li Shuxin nodded, her face slightly flushed as she asked, "Then shall we exchange contact information first? That way, it'll be easier to communicate."

"Sure." Su Hao said, taking out his phone.

"After each group exchanges contact information, choose one person to send me a message, and I will send the tickets directly to him." The professor looked at Su Hao and Li Shuxin, smiling.

"The professor is right here, I'll just tell him directly." Su Hao saved Li Shuxin's contact information, then turned and walked to the professor's side.

"This student is very efficient, it seems you had a good chat with that pretty female student? Did you two hit it off?" The professor pointed at Li Shuxin and winked at Su Hao.

"No, we already knew each other." Su Hao shook his head and held up his phone: "Professor, this is my contact information. How will you give me the tickets?"

"Simple." The professor finished speaking, added Su Hao as a friend, then sent him four characters.

"Free… tick… et… s." Su Hao looked at the four-character mantra on his phone screen, speechless: "These are the legendary free tickets?"

"That's right, isn't it convenient?" The professor patted Su Hao's shoulder: "The play's venue is written on the script. When you get there, just show these four characters and my profile picture to the ticket seller, and you'll be fine."

"Understood." Su Hao nodded, looking at the professor's aged face, and deeply understood what true "face-recognition" meant.

"Then I'll be off. You two go have lunch together, too. Make sure to cultivate your relationship well." The professor finished speaking, just about to leave.

Jiang Yuhan suddenly ran over: "Professor, wait a moment, I want to be in his group too!"

"You too?" The professor looked at Jiang Yuhan's beautiful face and muttered, "I didn't expect this young man to be quite popular, just like me when I was young!"

"Yes, my group member has a girlfriend, he wants to perform with his girlfriend," Jiang Yuhan quickly explained.

Su Hao turned his head and saw the random person who had just been talking to Jiang Yuhan was now quietly chatting with his girlfriend, his face full of an indescribable expression, as if he was saying something wicked.

"Then what about the student in his girlfriend's group? Why don't you partner with him?" the professor asked in confusion.

"Because he also has a girlfriend!" Jiang Yuhan said through gritted teeth.

"Oh… I see… Then… then it seems my grouping method has a lot of loopholes." The professor scratched his head awkwardly: "Since that's the case, why don't you join Su Hao? But you'll be one male and two females, is that okay?"

One male and two females? Hearing this, Su Hao unconsciously raised his eyebrows.

Professor, you really are disrespectful of your age!
