Chapter 112 - Chapter 267: What Happens When You Have Unlimited Mana?

"Did you actually manage to deflect it? You really surprised me!"

A flicker of surprise crossed Yami's face.

Although he hadn't used his full strength earlier, it was still more than a mere symbolic strike. It wasn't something an ordinary being could withstand.

Yet, the Vaccine Man had dodged it.

Impressive. As expected of a creature at the peak of dragon-level power. His maneuver alone demonstrated his strength.

But that's as far as it goes.

"You wretched insect! You dare sever the arm of this messenger? That is a capital offense!"

"I will use my full strength to erase you from existence. Go to hell!!!"

An overwhelming surge of energy erupted from the Vaccine Man.

The arm that Yami had severed regenerated instantly, and terrifying energy began to gather in his mouth. Even the sky, already thick with black smoke, began to churn ominously.

The air trembled under the force of the rising purple energy.

"Hmm, this could get troublesome," Yami observed calmly, assessing the situation as the Vaccine Man's power continued to build.

Saitama, who had been silently watching the fight, misinterpreted Yami's statement. Thinking Yami might be feeling overwhelmed, he offered his assistance.

"Need some help?"

Yami raised an eyebrow, surprised that Saitama had spoken to him. However, he smiled and shook his head, declining the offer.

"No need. I can still handle this much."

"Got it," Saitama replied, folding his arms and continuing to watch from the sidelines without further comment.

Yami's gaze returned to the Vaccine Man.

The creature's purple energy had gathered to a terrifying degree in his mouth, growing larger before shrinking into a highly compressed sphere, ready to be unleashed.

"So, that's how it is? I guess I can't hold back anymore."

"Besides, I have the right time, the right place, and the right people on my side!"

Yami raised the Sword of Promised Victory above his head as immense magical energy flowed into it.

Golden light cascaded from the sky, and the city, once cloaked in shadows, began to pulse with life under the sword's brilliant glow.

At the same time, Yami's hair shimmered golden under the radiant light.

"Bring it on!"

"EX—CALIBUR!!!"

The golden blade sliced downward in an instant.

A dazzling beam of light shot toward the Vaccine Man, just as he unleashed the purple energy from his mouth. In mere moments, the two powerful forces collided.

BOOM!

The impact sent a massive shockwave across the battlefield.

The clashing energies created an immense force field, and violent storms erupted from the point of contact, ripping through everything in their path.

Buildings crumbled and were torn apart by the sheer destructive force.

"What incredible power," Saitama commented casually, though he moved slightly to shield the unconscious little girl lying behind him.

For ordinary people, surviving in the midst of this level of combat was impossible.

Even for someone as emotionless as Saitama, protecting the weak was part of a hero's duty—whether for justice or simply out of interest.

The focus shifted back to the center of the battle.

Yami's beam of light continued to blaze forward. With an infinite supply of magical energy, he had no need to worry about running out of blue water.

In contrast, the Vaccine Man's energy was finite.

The purple beam struggled against the golden light, but it was gradually pushed back, visibly losing ground.

Panic crept into the Vaccine Man's expression as the realization hit him.

"How is this possible?"

"How can a mere insect resist the attack of this great messenger?"

"Die!!!"

Desperation flared in his eyes as he unleashed more power, but no matter how much he poured into the attack, it couldn't stop the onslaught of Yami's golden beam.

It was as though an impenetrable wall stood before him—one he had no hope of overcoming.

"Is this all you've got?" Yami muttered coldly.

"How disappointing. If that's the case, it's over!"

Yami's expression hardened, and he unleashed even more of his magic power.

"EX—CALIBUR!!!"

He recited the spell again, and in an instant, the golden beam overwhelmed the Vaccine Man's purple energy.

The golden light engulfed the Vaccine Man entirely, leaving no trace of him behind as the beam continued to spread across the battlefield.

Wherever the golden light went, it left only destruction in its wake.

However, thanks to Yami's mastery of observation and control, he was keenly aware of every living presence in the area.

With precise focus, he ensured that no innocent bystanders were harmed in the blast.

The beam soared skyward and detonated above the city, scattering in a burst of golden light that bathed everything in its warmth.

The sun returned to the sky, and light once again illuminated the city below.

"It's over. Is everything finally over?"

As the explosion subsided, the survivors, countless ordinary people, gazed up at the sky.

Blue skies, white clouds, and the warm sun reassured them—they had survived.

Even so, many were still in a daze.

Soon, tears of relief and joy streamed down their faces.

They had made it through yet another disaster!

"It disappeared," Yami said softly, as the Vaccine Man's presence vanished completely.

The Sword of Promised Victory, which had dealt the final blow, dissolved into shimmering golden particles and disappeared.

Yami glanced at the ground, which bore the unmistakable trail of the "excalibur" attack—a path of destruction left in its wake.

Although the Vaccine Man had been eliminated, the devastation inflicted on the city was… significant, to say the least.

"Maybe I got a little too carried away," Yami muttered, scratching his head with slight embarrassment.

Next time, he'd have to be more careful and curb his playful tendencies.
