"What happened?"
The ground shook violently, again and again.
Goddess Hestia stood up, but the sudden tremors nearly knocked her over again.
Luckily, Yami reacted quickly. He extended his right arm, pulling the graceful goddess into his embrace, saving her from another fall.
"Are you alright?"
"Thanks to you, Yami-kun, I'm fine now," Hestia replied, her voice soft.
The warmth of Yami's arms made Hestia blush slightly, her delicate cheeks flushed with a rosy hue. However, Yami's attention was focused elsewhere—on the commotion outside—and he didn't notice the goddess's shy demeanor.
"It must be another one of those monsters." he muttered.
"But this one... is really something else."
Even before the tremors started, Goddess Artemis had already rushed to the window, her instincts sharp. She now stood there, her gaze fixed outside, surprise etched on her face.
"What's going on, Artemis?" Hestia and Hephaestus hurried over to join her, pressing up against the window, eager to see for themselves.
The moment they caught sight of what was happening outside, they fell silent, speechless.
Yami, seeing their reactions, sighed and approached the window himself. The hotel was in a good location, with no tall buildings obstructing the view, allowing him to see quite far.
When he spotted the strange sight in the distance, his expression hardened.
"Of course, it's him!" Yami said, recognizing the figure. "I thought I'd never see him again... I don't know whether to call this luck or misfortune."
He scratched his head in exasperation.
Far off in the sky, a colossal figure was moving slowly.
The giant was at least 200 meters tall, so massive that even looking at him from this distance made one feel tiny. Yami, however, remembered that this giant had once been human. After consuming a potion known as "Biceps King," he had transformed into this monstrosity.
Though his size and strength had increased exponentially, it had come at the cost of his intelligence.
"What an absurd transformation." Yami said, his brow furrowed.
"wait—did that potion change his gender too? People in this world sure are something else..."
From the waist down, the giant was completely bare, which was somewhat of a relief to Yami. If he'd seen something stranger, he thought, he might not have been able to sleep tonight.
"The threat level is classified as 'Ghost'," Yami murmured to himself, assessing the situation. "But his exact power is unclear. At the very least, his defense is incredible. Without someone like Saitama around, this could be a real headache."
"Most heroes probably wouldn't even be able to scratch him," Yami noted, using his experience to gauge the giant's strength.
It was hard to ignore the sheer scale of the figure, though. Even for someone like Yami, who had encountered many massive creatures in his life, this one was daunting.
"This is one big problem to deal with, for sure," he muttered.
Still, Yami had seen far larger beings—monsters in the pirate world, and even the enormous sea kings, some of which were bigger than this giant. And the dungeon bosses he'd fought in the past were no small fry either.
Size, he knew, didn't always equal power. But the destruction this giant could cause? That was real enough.
"Just a single step from him could kill hundreds," Yami said gravely. "I feel sorry for the people of this world."
Goddess Hephaestus, standing beside him, sighed deeply.
"Yeah... these poor humans. To live in a world where these freaks keep showing up—it's amazing they're still around at all."
"Shouldn't we do something to help?" asked Artemis, cutting in.
She pointed toward the giant, her finger trembling slightly. "If we let him continue, the entire city could be destroyed. Thousands—no, millions of humans could die."
"And we'd have to change hotels too." Yami said, nodding in agreement. His comment caused the three goddesses to roll their eyes.
"Seriously, Yami?" Hestia said with a groan.
Clearing his throat, Yami added, "The service here is great, after all."
"I don't want to keep moving from city to city either. Who knows when we'll run into something like this again. Let's just handle it here and now."
Yami turned to the goddesses. "Wait for me. I'll take care of this."
Without another word, Yami disappeared, reappearing on the roof of the hotel in an instant.
In the distance, the giant continued its slow march, oblivious to Yami's presence. A middle-aged man in a white coat stood on the giant's shoulder, overseeing its movement.
Suddenly, the giant lifted its right arm, muscles bulging, preparing for a devastating blow. The grinding of its muscles was so loud, it sounded like bones clashing against each other.
"Is it about to attack? I can't let that happen!" Yami's expression turned serious.
With a quick chant, a massive wave of magical energy surged behind him, materializing into a countless array of weapons.
These were all treasures he had acquired in past battles, many from his fight with Gilgamesh in the Nasuverse. He had never had the chance to use them—until now.
"Go!" Yami commanded, flicking his fingers.
The weapons launched into the air at breakneck speed, creating a sonic boom as they shattered the sound barrier. The entire city turned its attention toward the spectacle, their eyes wide with shock.
And then... silence.
