Walking quickly, Melody Thorne barely had time to struggle before being pulled into the office.
She finally saw the opulent and imposing office that she had desperately wanted to enter in her previous life but never could.
"Open it," Jared Quinn released her arm and walked over to sit in the leather chair.
Melody took a moment to understand what he meant by "open," gritting her teeth as she approached and began unpacking the lunchbox, layer by layer, placing it on the table. "Is that okay?"
"Eat," Jared tossed the command her way, his eyes calm and indifferent.
"I've already eaten," Melody was eager to leave, as she had many tasks unfinished.
Jared pulled her back to him, using some force to settle her onto his lap, his tone mild but indisputable, "Keep me company while I eat."
Melody was taken aback, "!!!".
The office door opened again, and Simon Sutton walked in, slightly surprised to see Melody sitting on Jared's lap, but he quickly concealed it.
