Ilaya immediately turned around and looked at the man who appeared. She saw his familiar face and she immediately grimaced
"It's the rude guy"
Kazuki immediately retorted
"What's that you bitch?"
Ilaya looked around and said to him
"Where's Nicole? I've been told to come to this location post haste"
Kazuki walked towards her and said mockingly
"Why are you even here? Are you sure that you'll be of use? I bet that you're just going to mess things up here"
Ilaya got annoyed and said
"Hurry up. We don't have time to argue like this"
Kazuki stared at her deeply before turning around
"You better do your job right or I'll kill you"
Ilaya nodded and followed behind him. Soon, they reached a small house and entered the door. Then, once she's inside, she saw people who's geared up for fight, watching a first person video of someone
Then, Nicole walked to her and said
"It's good that you're here Ilaya"
Nicole's words attracted the attention of the other guards and they all size her up. As Ilaya was getting uncomfortable, Nicole introduced Ilaya to her colleagues
"Guys, this is Ilaya. One of us, and she's the one who will help us confirm if the boss is truly going out of control, or just became weird for some reason"
One of the guards asked Nicole confusingly
"Why her? How can she even confirm it?"
Nicole hesitated for a bit, before sighing
"This is supposed to be a top secret, but the boss said that Ilaya was also like her. So, you know what I mean right?"
The guards were shocked and looked at Ilaya with wariness. The fact that she's also like their boss means that she's an incredibly dangerous woman
Ilaya noticed their apprehension and sighed
'It seemed that they really feared someone like Kyora and me. But, I'm not like Kyora. There's no need to fear me. It hurts'
Ilaya pursed her lip and looked around. She saw many weapons on the table like pistols and rifles. There's also many types of grenades that she didn't know about. Then, as she's observing, Kazuki said to Nicole
"Oi Nicole. Now that she's here? What the hell are you planning?"
Nicole thought for a bit before saying
"Since we didn't know what's happening to the boss. We need to confirm first if she's really turned to something like in the 'feast of betrayal'. If she's only acting, and we assume the worst. And in doing so, we destroyed her plan, then we're dead. So we need to approach this really carefully"
Then, one of the guards asked her
"What if we just ask the boss?"
This time, Ilaya was the one who answered
"That's a bad move"
All of them looked at her with questions in their eyes. Then, Nicole grinned and said
"See! Only she can understand the condition of the boss! What do you mean Ilaya?"
Ilaya opened her mouth to answer, but was cut off by Kazuki
"Only a monster will be able to understand a monster huh? Is that what you meant Nicole?"
Nicole immediately got angry and shouted
"Shut up Kazuki! If the words coming out of your mouth are not helpful. Then just shut up!"
Ilaya turned sad and she nearly cried. But she suppressed her emotion and said
"If she's truly on the precipice of a rampage. Asking her directly may exacerbate her condition and truly lose control"
Ilaya then said based on her experience
"What we need to do is to observe her closely and watch out for any changes in her behavior. From what I know, people like us change their behavior when we rampage. It's like a twisted version of us replaces, and do something that we would not usually do"
After she said that, the guards looked at each other. They're having second thoughts now about her ability. They starting to agree with Nicole's judgment to include her in this emergency
Then, Kazuki asked
"So, what do we need to do if she's truly at the precipice of losing control?"
Ilaya said immediately and certainly
"Knock her unconscious. That's what she attempted to do to me when i first rampage"
After Ilaya said that, she suddenly turned nervous. She looked at them and said
"Umm… did you guys know that much? Did the boss tell you about me and our circumstances?"
Ilaya was really afraid that she said some confidential information. She didn't know how much they know, and if they know about powers to begin with
Nicole seemed to picked her concerns and said to her
"We knew about the rampage that you're talking about. But don't tell us anything that's not related to this emergency"
Kazuki grunted but didn't say anything. Ilaya let out a sigh of relief and said
"So what do we do now?"
Nicole thought for a bit as she sizes up Ilaya. Then, she said to one of the guards
"Did you get what I asked?"
The guard grinned and took out a bag
"It's in there"
As Ilaya saw the bag, she started to sweat as she asked them anxiously
"W-What are you going to do?"
Nicole grinned and said to her
"Since you said that we need to observe the boss closely, that's what we'll do. So…you will observe her Ilaya. Are you ready to join a lavish party?"
Ilaya immediately exclaimed as she took a step back from horror
"No! I'm not ready! And I just finished a party earlier! Why would I need to join another one!?"
Ilaya really didn't want to go into a lavish party that Nicole said. Then, she suddenly asked a question that she dreaded
"Wait a minute. What do you mean by party? Aren't you guys in an operation?"
Nicole walked towards her and dragged her towards the tv screen
"We are indeed in an operation. Take a look"
Ilaya watched the screen and saw a lavish hall with so many people in suits and dresses. Her mouth widened at the grandness of the party unlike what they had celebrated earlier. Then, she noticed that the camera was walking around, and she had a hunch about the person with the camera
"By the way. Is the one with the camera…"
Nicole nodded and said
"Yes. It's the boss"
Ilaya closed her eyes as she felt that she's not going to escape the fate of attending the party. She heard Nicole said to her
"So Ilaya, you are the only one of us who can accurately tell if something was truly wrong with the boss. We need your help. And some of the people there are also innocent, we can't let boss murder civilian"
That sealed the deal as she could not really refuse her task. She need to help the Yakuza, by saving their boss, and helping the civilians out of harm's way
'Well, didn't I want to help them for sheltering me? Haha, mission accomplished I guess!'
Ilaya didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Then, she said to Nicole
"Alright. Help me dress up"
Nicole immediately agreed
"Alright! Let's go!"
Then, Nicole dragged Ilaya to a nearby room. But, before she entered, she looked at Kazuki and said
"Kazuki, update us about the boss' movements. Also, study her if her behavior drastically changed"
Kazuki sighed and walked towards the monitor
